  1. I am unsure where you obtained the information regarding" an included trip" to Tresco Gardens on SOD in August. I am on that Cruise & their are no included excursions in this Port. The Excursion to Tresco Gardens is £49pp.
  2. As far as I am aware only the Buffet is open on Embarkation Day & closes around 3.30pm so as Muster can take place.
  3. If you book a fixed table upon arrival you will find a card in your Cabin with all the information on it including the table number.
  4. Yes you are being unkind!. Saga do advertise this under "dining". A max of 150 Tables per Cruise are allocated.
  5. When booking you can request a fixed table in the MDR subject to availability as Saga reserve a number of tables for this purpose
  6. A new Cruise Terminal is due to open in Portsmouth this summer. It will do away with the "tents" currently used but you will still need a shuttle bus to the Ship.
  7. No. Saga use Dover, Portsmouth & Tilbury.
  8. Not a lot to moan about if the only issue is the Quality of Coffee served. I find the Living Room Coffee is perfectly OK.
  9. You get a shared Car 75-300 miles. If you want a Private Car for the 75-300 Mile Band you pay for it @ £2.50 per mile.
  10. For the last two years (for 2023 & 2024) the E-Mail Brochure for Jan-March (not Jan-April) has been issued in early January with April-Dec in early March. The phone call is in strict order of pre-registration & Saga usually appear to clear the calls in about three weeks & then on General Sale approx four weeks after the E-Mail Brochure is sent out.
  11. For the last two years (for 2023 & 2024) the E-Mail brochure for Jan-March (not Jan-April) has been issued in early January with April-Dec in early March.
  12. Remember the £2.50 per mile is each way.
  13. For the last 2 years it has been around the end of January (for the following year Jan-March).
  14. You telephone Saga & request Pre-Registration (state the year wanted) & pay £90 per person which is credited against the booking or refunded if you decline. Saga E-Mail out the programme, it is usually out in 2 parts Jan-March & April -December. In date order of pre-registration Saga then ring you. For April- December 2024 the E-Mail was sent out early March with a telecon about 10 days later & the programme going on sale to the General Public the first week of April.
  15. In MDR Cheese is ordered off the Dessert Menu on SoD but in "Coast to Coast" Cheese Trolley is used.
  16. Please temper expectations as it could be anywhere from a standard taxi to luxury People Carrier.
  17. On SoD last month Afternoon Tea was available in MDR @ 4pm but no trolley in Living Room. Newspaper & Puzzles were in Library & Reception from 9am.
  18. Just off SoD & Library is fully stocked & only Computers missing!.
  19. Also if you are unhappy with your quality of Transfer Service you should feed back your concerns to Saga Customer Services.
  20. The L Grade Cabins Aft on E Deck were not available at Pre Registration
  21. Just booked Canaries for Nov 2024 & difference in Aft Cabin prices were £400 pp between D&E Decks (E Deck the cheapest).
  22. 2024 On General Sale on Monday 27th March.
  23. It appears that if using Britannia Club Discount it is still cheaper to book at advance registration as this normally gives you 35% off.
  24. Saga will ring you & give prices on any Cruises you are interested in. It is up to you if you proceed & if not your pre-registration money is refunded. For this years Cruises the E-Brochure was issued at the beginning of March 2022 & I had a call mid March. If will depend on how large the pre-registration list is but is likely that the 2024 programme will not go on General Sale until the beginning of April.
  25. Cruises 21 days & over are likely to have 4 Formal Nights (minimum of 3). Formal Nights are not always on Sea Days.
