  1. Splendor is Concordia Class, but Carnival didn't have one so they might as well make a new class. Venezia is/was Vista class, and I'll wait for someone else to do a deck plan comparison to see what differences, if any will exist.
  2. Sunshine was an experiment and over the top, but Carnival has continued the trend, albeit scaled back some.
  3. How many people would want to book Concordia I? They are both being Carnivalized, as Splendor was, sans funnel. As with Splendor, I think some areas are going to feel awkward, and different from Vista.
  4. About mid-cruise they requested people to provide their disembarkation plans. I provided my flight details, selected ship transportation, and they chose my exit time and luggage tag numbers. It was all pretty easy. I think 11:30am is their earliest recommended flight, but I would have made an 11:15 flight, and I wasn't in the first group to the airport. I have assorted scans, pictures, etc of the menus and will try to make some sense of them.
  5. I don't think Carnival sells them anything, but allows them to put a hold on a certain number of cabins.
  6. It may be, but I suspect the MDRs on Venezia will be capable of handling all the passengers, unlike the newest Carnival ships. I do see Tomodoro will be open for breakfast and lunch.
  7. I find it hard to believe a TA would rather lose money...
  8. At some point Carnival will take them back.
  9. It is possible for a cruise line to put one ship on a port schedule as a place holder for a different ship.
  10. Third party sites typically just publish what they find on the cruise line websites and not on port websites.
  11. To make up for cabins that will have to go unsold.
  12. I did not realize disagreeing with an opinion was a heated discussion. No cruise line and no cruiser is perfect. Do you disagree?
  13. Pizza is not a NY invention. Shocking, I know. But chicken parm is a Cucina dish and is featured on the MDR menu.
  14. My bad. I was thinking about Jubilee and not Pride. But on Pride, at least one website still lists the May 28th sailing with limited cabin availability. Should Carnival cancel a cruise, they will typically reimburse for any non-refundable expenses, including airfare. On port schedules, are those official port schedules or third party sites?
  15. The conspiracy theorists won't like it, but the cruise was sold out as far as Carnival was concerned. Cabins were still being held by travel agents who were advertising last month they still had some cabins available at the original price.
  16. A new extra charge restaurant, with no mention of complementary pasta bar at lunch like on other ships. The Cucina "favorite" now feature on MDR menus is chicken parm, and I don't see more than one Cucina "favorite" being on the MDR menu per night. If anything, I don't see what was offered in the video being expanded upon, but a reduction in what was "promised" is certainly a possibility once reality and budgets sink in. I think one of the first to go will be access to the gated community at night for everyone. It felt to me like they were just going through the motions in the video, without any genuine enthusiasm.
  17. If you watch youtube videos of drunk people doing stupid things, it's easier to imagine.
  18. Guests staying in the 77 Terrazza staterooms have exclusive perks including: Exclusive access to Carnevale Lounge in the morning with complimentary continental breakfast; Terrazza-branded robes and towels Specially-curated brunch on select sea days with a complimentary Spritz or Mimosa An exclusive sail-away event in Terrazza Carnevale with live music
  19. not in the video that I noticed, but Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse Location: Deck 5 - midship Hours: open for dinner Reservations-recommended Reservations fee ($) Sit down wait staff service
  20. If I heard fun in a description one more time I was going to hurl. A Mexitalian fusion probably won't make my top ten favorites. Will be interested in trying Guy's pepperoni pizza burger. Christine apparently is unaware that everyone no longer has access to Havana areas at night, but apparently they will in the Terrazza Carnevale area. This does conflict with other published information. The MDR will have an expanded menu from the standard Carnival menus. Interested in what La Strada Grill will offer. The to be revealed new Italian restaurant will offer select sea day brunches. Information from other locations. There will be a non-smoking casino annex!!! The theater will become a late-night night club.
  21. Book a tour that leaves the port.
