  1. I like to float on my back in them and I couldn’t because there’s not enough room with the bubbly circle in the middle. That should be back in a corner of the pool. And yes, it was deep, I had a hard time getting onto the lounger bed bars, what is that called?, hopefully you know what I mean, lol. I also really disliked the ladders to get in and out, I’m used to steps in thermal pools.
  2. At the time I was on it, November/December of ‘22 it was the smallest thermal pool compared to other ship spas I’ve used. Chart room princess posted a picture above, that’s what it looked like when I was in it.
  3. Oh, it was, I was there in Nov of ‘22! I didn’t realize there had been remodeling since then, I rescind my review, lol!
  4. I love thermal spas but after purchasing a pass for my entire cruise last year I wouldn’t do QM2’s again. One or two visits were plenty; it’s small, there are no exterior windows, and it was just a bit lacking somehow. I did have great experiences with a massage and salon services!
  5. Thank you! I will reserve just in case, I have the worst luck in the world and need as much preplanned and confirmed as possible, lol.
  6. I googled a bit because I wanted to reserve parking and couldn’t figure out which was the official pier parking lot and what was just nearby. I have limited mobility and need to be in the closest parking. Do you know the correct website or phone number for the Manhattan terminal?
  7. I’ve had the same problem. Twice I’ve handled it by putting the answers from the form into the body of the email, explaining that I couldn't type into the form. I received the OBC fine each time.
  8. Same. Socks, underwear, jeans, and the junky pajamas that I use for traveling are the only things that I send to the wash after a shirt shrank horribly once. If I need other clothes cleaned I pay for dry cleaning. I haven’t had anything go missing yet so that’s good at least.
  9. I use a kettle on the stovetop. We had an electric kettle at work because there was no stove in the break room, I think of electric kettles as break room or travel gadgets, no need in my kitchen at home.
  10. I read books on kindle sometimes but I prefer real books for most of my reading.
  11. I never travel without a few books, and occasionally I finish them faster than expected and need to find a library or bookshop. Interestingly, we were on the Bliss in early 2020 and I ran out of books and none of the shops had any for sale and it took us to two days to find the library because every one of the many staff members that we asked said there was no library. I knew that I had read about one on board and my husband finally found it, it was small but passable and it met my needs for the remaining days on board. The things I miss are my pets and the specific seltzer that is my favorite.
  12. I’m vegetarian and gluten free and I did a back to back cruise over the winter and was on the ship for quite awhile. I ate well, if with a little repetition that I was perfectly happy with. My only issue was a short period in the afternoon when the pool grill was the only option and I could only eat French fries and salad. And honestly it was only a problem because I sleep very late and don’t like to eat right away so I was hungry right when everyone else had already had breakfast and lunch, so that was on me, lol. I figured out to start ordering room service breakfast as late as I could and then I would just eat it later. The Italian restaurant was my favorite place for dinner, they had a mushroom risotto that was so good.
  13. My understanding of it is that low and high tea are so called because of the table itself. Low tea is afternoon tea because it would typically have been taken in a sitting room on the coffee table, high tea because it is an early dinner with more substantial fare eaten at a dining or kitchen table. So it actually is about the time as zippeedee noted. But many people call it “high tea” because they think the high means “fancy” when they really mean afternoon tea. But I’ve noticed places that really should know better advertising it as high tea, presumably because so many people misunderstand the terms to begin with.
