  1. 3 things, yup just about everything then. As I recall you had complaints about your cruise. Better just be sunshine and roses or that gives permission to be attacked because they “deserve” it. Why would anyone come back for more 😔? It’s funny how some think only their complaints are valid no matter how tiny. The dive in is not great but I’m not surprised that people like it. There was a recipe on this board that people were raving about. I couldn’t wait to make it. I’m a very good cook and it was so bad I had to throw it out. It’s was so greasy I don’t know how anyone could think it was good but people did.
  2. They probably recognize people because how many people will pay $800 for a hotel room? List has to be short 😛😊🤪😏. I like me a nice hotel room but that borders on ridiculous. Yes I’m familiar with the hotel.
  3. Tacky? How is it tacky? Seems honest to me.
  4. I used to love that “just slap a luggage tag on it”. What would be interesting to know is how much less those poor stewards have to lug around now. I imagine it’s substantially less.
  5. You could drink Perrier. I drink mostly bubly at home but hal doesn’t have it so the next best is Perrier. I can rough it 😏for a couple weeks. Policies likely change because people abuse it. Remember when people used to roll n cases of wine?
  6. Yes, I’m a 5 star as well. Doesn’t mean that I love every morsel of food. Why can’t people express their views without worrying about being shot down? It’s just the same thing over and over. As soon as one person says they don’t like that the next person feels the need to says it’s perfection.
  7. I don’t think the op said the cabin stewards suck or that they can’t find anything to eat. They just didn’t like the pancakes. Maybe others will find that information helpful.
  8. I enjoy the pizza as well but I don’t have it that often. I do like thin crust so if people aren’t fans they won’t like it. At least it has flavour. I haven’t tried a rueben because in the past hal thinks this is a sandwich made on toast. It should be grilled like a grilled cheese so everything is warm and the cheese melted.
  9. I don't understand the dive in thing either. To me they are dry and tasteless. I ordered a lobster tail in the Pinnacle for an upcharge, same thing, mushy. I did have the lobster tail in the stand alone sel de mer on the koningsdam and it was awesome.
  10. And that’s the problem. People fighting for limited resources. I guess they’ll be filling up ships with us Canadians because this would be more than I’d want to deal with as an American. That said if I had all the time in the world it might be a different story.
  11. I’ve had a smart phone for years and I would likely feel naked 😏without it but it’s not on me at all times. I work with people that have theirs in their hands at all times. That’s not me. I don’t understand about having to have it with you in the bathroom. It’s more about the person, not the phone.
  12. Sure, I wouldn’t mind numbers but it’s really none of my business unless they want to supply this information. I can’t begin to tell you how much angst I had about going on cruises in November and March of this year. It’s hasn’t been easy for Canadians to travel because of testing and insurance. I was so sure I wouldn’t do my cruise in March because things were so dicey at that time. I followed my gut and everything turned out but it wasn’t without anxiety. At no time did I feel I needed to know the covid numbers on the ship. I had to do what my gut told me.
  13. Gratuities are my favourite. It’s lovely not having that come on your bill everyday. Wifi likely comes next, dining then drinks. Hal never asks me either 😛. I agree, the shorex would bring the best returns to them and may prevent some from doing independent shorex.
  14. Hal said guests preferred the shore excursion credit. I don’t know who they asked. Maybe babies that haven’t started talking yet 😛.
  15. Did you pay full price for your kids? If so why not get two rooms and then each person would get the perks. There has to be some good savings on staying in one room otherwise why do it? I know you have to have an adult in each room but that could be done fairly easily.
  16. Unfortunately there are many people on this board that take great joy at doing that, and get away with it. Some spend hours emailing each other about how they can say things with getting posts removed. Sad really.
  17. At least there is that. I’ve taken transit pretty much every day of my working life except when my employer paid parking for a good portion of the pandemic. That was a lovely break from reality. I don’t live in Vancouver but I can tell you even if you can eat off the floor I’m still taking a cab so I don’t have to deal with my luggage.
  18. I have those tags too. Very handy except they seem to go into hiding when I look for them for the next cruise.
  19. Yes people can be very disorganized but you don’t have to have a pouch to be organized. If I had that pouch I’d feel like I was 5 years old. I have an old document holder hal gave out years ago and have my passport at the ready. I have everything right at the front that I know that I’ll need so when I get to the door I can easily have them in hand. It doesn’t seem a lot of people are like that. I’ve heard some people say they’ve packed their passport in their suitcase. When I was horrified they thought it was not a big deal. Whatever works. It’s important to have everything at the ready no matter how you hold it.
  20. I’d rather them eliminate the shore excursions. They always go way longer then they say and I find that very annoying.
  21. I’m another on that prints up my luggage tags. I put them in a pouch and attach with a pipe cleaner. No way I’m bringing a stapler or trying to find one.
  22. Mine must get answered by the person that works 2 hours a week. At least mine is done but I’d hate to be in a hurry and try to get it.
