I understand that those of us with cruises booked on Iona shortly are currently able to pre-book, prior to boarding, any of the 4 MDR restaurants, along with their preferred dining time but, not table. I understood it was just Freedom, but P&O are 'testing' this new arrangement out. Wonder if anyone who has recently been on Iona can confirm or dispel this.

Jaydee do me a big favour and give me the dates for Iona's cruises over the winter months 24/25, was all geared up to do the Iona Caribbean 35 nighter but far too many sea days, think we will do several B to B's out of Southampton on her as we don't fly any longer. Appreciated.

Yes, Arcadia is well in need of refurbishment having just spent the last 30 days on her. Personally I think her potential sale or even lay up is not about her condition but more about crew shortages. With the introduction of the Arvia, where will the crew come from as all P&O ships are currently experiencing crew shortages and, many like to be at home for Christmas! My guess is that Arcadia will go shortly and all crew transferred.

Unlike the previous tests which just required you to show you were covid negative via an online testing firm, this one requires you to have an observed test at the likes of Lloyds Chemist .. not the end of the world I guess. Also further tests are to be expected onboard.

For those of us sailing on J217 to the US/Canada will have had an update regarding testing for our departure on the 6th September. We will need to pay for an observed or in-person COVID-19 lateral flow/antigen test to be taken in the two days before, or on the day of your ship’s departure. This test must be medically observed via a mobile device or conducted in-person by a government approved testing provider.

Don't go near it, the noise from above is awful. Hope this helps.

Ventura to Venice

That's what I was worried about as have a 11.45 checkin time.

What time do the baggage handlers start collecting luggage at the terminal from arriving passengers, in order to process it onto the ship.

Just had a positive update from P&O for our cruise on the 5th July 'Your guide to dining and drinks on Arcadia for J212' sounds a little more promising, fingers crossed.

Anyone else experiencing problems paying their balance online. Never had this problem before, I can input all personal details including the booking reference, it whizzes around for a couple of moments, provides a welcome with my name and ref number but no opportunity to pay. Grrrrrr
