  1. Do you know how much power those ovens use when on 18 hours a day perhaps? The ovens in Windjammer are only on a few hours a day.
  2. I am not surprised they are considering charging. They do use a hell of a lot of cheese and other ingridents and a hell of lot of power in those ovens. I have seen 3 full pizzas gone in 10 minutes on Anthem.
  3. Most expensive one outside of the super luxury ones from what I have seen.
  4. Those 3 countries to my knowledge are not on the U.S Visa Waiver Program. There are countries in Europe that are not and I think it is those three.
  5. We shouldn't be moaning about the cost. The UK is lucky to be on the visa waiver program 3 eu countries are not to my knowledge. And the refusal rate for the ESTA is like 10k of 1%. No way tourist visa refusal rates are 10k of 1% more like 5, 10 or even higher.
  6. It aired on channel 5 but then they axed it. My mum thought the yanks had ruined the kids fairytales because they had no history but Davey Crockett 🤣 Was quite big in America though I think despite beng up against the football and the walking dead on Sunday nights
  7. I wonder how much of this world cruise is an attempt to cut into a segement of the older cruise focused lines by the duality of not only a world cruise -seeing if a world cruise works for Royal - with the twist of being the longest ever to draw people in. But also the thinking that by doing so they might cut into the Cunard, P&O and even MSC world cruise market segment at least for a year or two.
  8. Of course they are not exempt from the ecnomic factors but to my reading of this thread some people seem to be arguing that the entire upper tier of Royal loyalty be cut away in favour of something new. and have that past loyalty mean nothing. Do that people might walk away from Royal? Royal can turn nothing away if they make money on it. No one can to be fair
  9. I think a big problem is they jus don't have th venue with bar access spare. Olsen does a lot of group event bookings they had least 4 different booked groups on my cruise who took a private section in the observation deck on deck 9 and they also did their own things. They simply don't have the space to give a nightly meetup.
  10. Royal like any line will take what it can get in these post covid times. They are not going to cast any cateogry adrift.
  11. Also one Once Upon A Time the tv show Dorothy was gay and in love with little red riding hood.
  12. So you are saying they are tired of having Mario onboard are they? After all he only eats in the buffett doesn't gamble and doesn't upgrade to al inclusive and works to pay for this cruising. Before answering back please bare in mind no matter what they tell you the ships are NOT FULL
  13. As in Dorothy Gayle the wizard of Oz? I never understood that reference. I always thought it should have been one of the icon like Ellen DeGeneris. These days on most other line it is referred to now as the LGBTQIA meetup. Perhaps on Olsen they don't have venues with bars in them as well and the time to dedicate to it. They do dancing in the evenings and piano as well with breaks for the performers. On QM2 it has gone 90 minutes or more in the commoedore club on 9 deck nine.
  14. I am just off the borealis. Not that I am of either eilk but I am just curious as to why these where both absent from the daily programme especially when they have been every other line I have ever been on
  15. I board the Borealis tomorrow. My father was supposed to go with me. Can I claim something back from his travel insurane because of his death?
  16. Because people forget and go back to what they know and where they feel comfortable.
  17. I am thinking of what to do in the city before boarding the ship. They want me on at 1.30pm but that is not really enforced they won't care if I am late will they?
  18. It is not a patch on our favourite nyc steak house Nick and Stefs by MSG in terms of the quality of the food. Price wise a lot cheaper you will pay a couple of hundred at least for two a bit more at Smith/Wolensky or Luger in Brooklyn.
  19. You are probably ok to go on the 21st and you will also have very strong immunity given this recent bout. Going at a later date you would be coming in with lowered immunity for what that statement is worth. Lets be realistic it is on every ship forever and always will be until it burns itself out if it ever does. It will circulate from sailing to sailing between crew and crew, passengers and passengers and passenger and crew. Nothing you do will change any of that.
  20. My father passed away a couple of weeks ago. We had the Borealis booked back in Jan before we could imagine any of this happening. It will be my first solo cruise. We got into cruising quite late my father was 75 when we done our first one and we lost time to Covid. He really would have liked sailing out past the liver buildings he was born on tatlock street I think it was. I hope everything works out okay for you and you get back to cruising again. On another note do you think the Liverpool cruise terminal will grow. It is a great place sail out of as a base. It gets a lot of ships calling in but only a few home base there.
  21. They are also literally a stones throw from entrance to the Liverpool 1 shopping area and the imax cinema as well. Plenty of other things for them to do
  22. I am onboard july 19th so I guess I will see what the crack is.
  23. I did I saw curtains on the wall behind the bed that is what I threw me a little bit but I understand now the curtains are just their for decoration
  24. I thought they where inside cabins like on QM2 or NCL with no window or view of outside world?
  25. I spoke to person on the phone and done the form with her as we spoke she said it would be 7-14 working days after I emailed it to her email address.
