  2. I sailed on Azura 2 months after she launched and toilets had problems then. Wet floors, etc.
  3. That's interesting, as Aviva is our motor insurance provider and will not now cover my husband who 8is 85. I wonder what they will do about us when we come to renew our Nationwide Travel insurance.
  4. and if the airline they choose goes bust as has happened before, they will then have to look around for whoever has capacity.
  5. Happy Days, remind me of my flying career. Constantly going out of hours because of delays etc. I once did 21 hours with the other girls, because they only sent the Flight Deck, an engineer and a spare part!
  6. Well said. All absolutely correct. People want compensation for everything these days.
  7. My husband is 85 and I am 77, we are covered by Nationwide Flex plus.
  8. Absolutely right. So you are booked on the Dreamliner with eg 24 seats in premium economy and they change the aircraft to an Airbus with 16 seats in premium economy. 8 passengers will have to travel in ordinary seats, so they get their PE money back, but still go on holiday.
  9. Not naive, but circumstances can change of course.
  10. We booked on board and had a reduced deposit and lots more OBC. If you have booked the current cruise through a TA they will ask you if you want it sent through to the TA, in which case, you can get even more discount.
  11. Have to say it serves them right. Any aircraft can be hit by violent turbulence. It happened on one of our aircraft. One of the stewardesses hit the ceiling and was injured. If you take to social media like he did, you deserve all you get.
  12. You got it right there! We were once coming back from Costa Rica and had to go into Miami to change flights. The customs person didn't like the look of my Roses Lime Juice and forced me to drink some of it even though I told her it's supposed to be mixed with water!
  13. Problem with upgrades is that what P&O thinks is an upgrade often isn't! We had chosen our mid-forward inside cabin on D Dek and were upgraded to a cabin on A deck. That is the last place I want to be, especially in a rough sea. They moved us back.
  14. Quite easy on a British Isles cruise to divert into a foreign port, ie Ireland, or even France.
  15. Not sure I understand. March 2025, Arvia to the Caribbean is £899 for 14 nights, that's a lot less than £100 per night? And Mediterranean Arvia £799 for 14 nights. seems to be lots of far less than £100 per night.
  16. don;t think the food and bev manager is an officer?
  17. They obviously don't change the menus very often. That is exactly the same as last October!
  18. Yes I know, but when booking a private tour, I kept forgetting which was which!!
  19. Yes but none of this means always that you will fly TUI because if something goes wrong with their aircraft you could be changed.
  20. Yes, we got the £200 each OBC, so quite happy with that. I have asked them to send me a couple of different menus from Vasco, because the example one didn't excite.
  21. I keep getting confused about the names of the islands. Sao Miguel is Ponta Delgada. Praia da Vittoria is terceira.
  22. We will pay as we go for drinks. I don't even see a drinks package, only champagne and wine packages? I found the package another way by typing it into Google. There is no way we would use £50 per day. We have one large glass of wine each before dinner and a bottle of wine which we don't always finish.
  23. April 4th - got £200 pp OBC as well. I have forgotten about my discount as well. That's cheap!! Even the excursion we are doing is cheaper than P&O We rarely do ship excursions, but this one looked good and reasonable. I don't get discount on excursions,, as only Silver level.
