It used to be about 7-8 drinks to break even. That’s fancy coffee ,nonalcoholic and alcohol. So if you think you will drink more than everyday , it’s worth it . There is a cap on the price,I think it’s $14 but drinks rarely get over that. U.S.Dollars onboard and 18% gratuity but with the drinks package it’s included. Beer about $8 cocktails about $10 ,mixed drinks about $12 that’s USD . I’ve done a few Royal Caribbean cruises and I have never bought the drinks package. The first few days people drink like a fish and then it tapers off .

Maybe that Princess Medallion needs to go the other end Geoff , you know,to get it working properly? It seems Ovation might take over Quantum’s Alaska season. I thought it might leave the pacific.

Can you hold your medallion up to your forehead and see if it tells us Geoff ? Dry dock is this November in Singapore for Quantum . I’m pretty sure they are going to fit shore power to it for Los Angeles as it’s mandatory in California.

Strange? Anthems transpacific and the Alaska season is advertised Ovations transpacific is advertised but there’s no Alaska season available. Theres no Quantum transpacific available but the Alaska season is available for Quantum.

It looks like Ovation is going back to Alaska 2025 . Either there’s 3 Quantum or you are right in your madness and Ovation is taking over from Anthem.

I think I have heard that tune somewhere else but an oasis would certainly blow the competition out of the water. Thats one of their biggest problems in Australia, competition like Disney and Virgin. So what if Voyager doesn’t come through the Suez Canal? What will replace it in Brisbane. Im thinking Quantum will get shore power and be deployed in L.A. and possibly Navigator could replace Voyager.

Spectrum , in my opinion will be available very soon for Singapore. I was chatting to someone that was just on Spectrum and they said about a third of the passengers were from ANZ . Also another person on the blog said it’s cheaper and just as easy to fly from Perth rather than to Sydney .

Maybe with the trouble in the Suez Canal,Anthem will stay in the Atlantic.

They have to be linked to you. I think Royal should rethink it and only link travelling companions on a cruise only basis the way Celebrity used to do it.

There seems to be people that make a 11:00 flight but I wouldn’t book a flight that early. A afternoon flight or preferably stay an extra night if you can’t .

There is some evidence of Project Discovery,if anyone doesn’t know that’s Royal Caribbean’s small ship project. Robbie Matheison posted this on another social media group. This fellow has been working on it.

Both ships have disappeared after March 2025 . Im hoping for an interesting reposition for Ovation. I think ,wherever it goes it will be via Singapore to either Japan or the Mediterranean . Possibility Ravenna . Vicky Freed has it in Hawaii but I don’t think that’s right.

With the incoming carbon emissions laws I don’t think it will happen again. Well not until green fuel comes in or Discovery of the seas is launched.

Ovation is gone from Honolulu. I wonder if it would go to Japan?

The cruise before Ovation’s transpacific isn’t for sale either but strangely the Honolulu to Seattle is still for sale. It might go via Singapore? Quantum’s transpacific has disappeared also.

@springaussie Whats going on with Ovation at the end of next season? It looks like they are pulling it out of the transpacific.

It’s odd that they aren’t available but it could be just a glitch. Ovation is still booked it Tahiti for the transpacific. If it was to go via Singapore it would drop into Darwin in northern Australia but there’s no port bookings. Time will tell .
