  1. I don’t know if they could get Kembla up and running in a year ,it would relieve some congestion. Your Christmas cruise is still 3 months away, plenty of time to fill up.
  2. We have the coming season just around the corner with Ovation and Brillance in Sydney. The 2 ships are pretty heavily booked if not sold out. Something that doesn’t add up to me ,is we only have Ovation in Sydney for the 24-25 season and it’s booking up . There must be another ship for Sydney in the 24-25 season but what?
  3. I wasn’t really thinking China,They would probably send something newer there. I was thinking Singapore/Sydney surely we must be due for some hand downs by then.
  4. It looks like it’s full speed ahead for the cruise industry in China, let’s see if if there’s enough punters to fill ships. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/09/chinese-cruise-ports-get-full-green-light/
  5. Apparently there’s a station at coco beach and a shuttle to Port Canaveral on the way. https://www.wesh.com/article/brightline-train-miami-orlando/45227586#
  6. I don’t think they will drop the Diamond drinks. For the few bucks it costs them ,they have a dedicated customer. They would be buying it by the shipping container and tax free. I was watching a thing how Carnival hire the Budweiser factory for days to make a production run for their ships.I believe RCG do the same. They have pretty good buying power.
  7. Being a Diamond and with a junior suite is all you really need. A lot of people once Diamond or better don’t bother with the full suites ,unless they have money to burn. You have the Diamond lounge with a concierge, coffee machine and a your 4 drinks.
  8. I’m afraid I wasn’t really impressed with coastal Kitchen ,the food is pretty repetitive. It is the best venue on the ships and fabulous service but really not worth the extra money you pay in a suite.
  9. The Mercantile can get a bit noisy if you’re an early sleeper, if not you might be the one making all the noise. LOL
  10. No we can’t mention agents but a Cruise specialist is what I would look for . I m sure you can find a Ozzie one somewhere.
  11. I think it’s the same a Royal Caribbean,$9.95 +18% , room service charge
  12. Not that I’ve been there but I don’t think Port Kembla is a real top port of call. Like you wouldn’t be boasting in the club lounge. But if you think about it ,under the circumstances it could be a fairly good departure Port. A cruise terminal,a few nice hotels near the beach and a train . Plus it has L.N.G.
  13. I didn’t know but explorer has been to port Kembla. https://www.portauthoritynsw.com.au/news-and-publications/2019-news/explorer-of-the-seas-cruises-into-port-kembla/
  14. https://travelbulletin.com.au/feature/is-port-kembla-the-new-sydney/
  15. You do receive the paperwork in your cabin the day before and you will be off the ship pretty quick. Much the same as the airport.
  16. He was a real gentleman and friend,I will miss him . He didn’t have a bad word for anyone.
  17. Is this what you’re after? https://www.royalcaribbean.com/account/cruise-planner/category/dining?bookingId=4364684&shipCode=BR&sailDate=20231108&brand=R&sortBy=featured&wuc=AUS&ecid=em_12804021_09132023_RCIINTL_TA_PRECRUISE_APAC_AUS_CS&currencyCode=AUD&cid=em_12804021&rid=1092590348&rcid=98704211&lid=TILE_IMG_SD_30_OFFER&ect=FlashSale&ecv=&emsc=RCIINTL_TA_PRECRUISE_AUS_CS&empc=RCIINTL_TA_PRECRUISE
  18. Come on ,you will find a nice little spot to people watch.
  19. Oh come on that’s what they said about Voyager not to mention Ovation. Port Kembla has LNG and a birth that could? maybe?possibly ? take a ship that size .
  20. Well this is right Graham, the channel and turning bay mightn’t be suitable for Oasis . Port Canaveral is now hosting the most Oasis class ,it’s a hour from Orlando airport. As inconvenient as it is ,people are loving it with a purpose built terminal . We have BIG GAV on the job Graham . He said just the other day at some conference ,Lelepa should be open in 2026 . He also wants a year round ship and 3 to 4 ships per season . He sounds optimistic doesn’t he .
