I wish Royal would hurry up and do something with Anthem from Southampton to Singapore in October.

Another cruise line not going thru Suez.

“Marla Cruises has announced the further cancellation of voyages in Asia and the Middle East for Marella Discovery 2, citing safety concerns for the troubled situation in the Red Sea.

At the moment, Red Sea tensions include increased pirate activity, including the use of drones, to attack various vessels. This has caused numerous cruise lines to cancel sailings in the region or reroute voyages around the west coast of Africa rather than risk attacks in the Red Sea.’

It’s pretty obvious things won’t calm down in that region quickly.

So Glen ,Anthem will need more time to get around the bottom of Africa and where will they get that from?

They will have to drop a cruise or something to get more time.

I always wondered where the most reliable rumours started 😉

One thing I have noticed about the 25-26 season,no ships go to Adelaide or Melbourne .

Thats Royal Caribbean ships, not Princess Geoff because this is a Royal Caribbean thread, LOL

So there’s a hole there that needs to be filled.

Enchantment is doing almost exclusively Western Caribbean cruises from now till the end of April 2026, so not sure how they can sell Aussie cruises on her.

They did that with serenade when it was supposed to come to Australia.I think it was majesty they used and changed it to Serenade.

Theres been a bit of speculation about one of the two radiance class that will be in Alaska coming here 25-26.

Radiance and Serenade will be in Alaska for the 2025 season .

I would normally definitely book Voyager Rome all the way to Brisbane and plan some time in Europe beforehand.

I too think plans might need to be flexible if the Voyager cruise through the Suez is released - Celebrity have already changed my 2025 cruises that went to Egypt/Israel to Greek Isles only.

I do not trust Royal will make accomodations for existing bookings if the cruise is changed.

I ended booking the last cruise out of Ravenna though to Dubai.

    A bit steep ,a single in a Promenade,21 nights $ A 8,200 .

    Lets see how I go

I am even weighing-up whether to put my retirement back another year and spring for a 5 nighter to Tassie.

A cruise like that, just give it a week and it might come down.

I was going to book Ovations repo to Singapore and while trying to organise people it doubled in price. Cruises like that you have to get in early .

I think that is right. It is a bit like having concierge class or club class on other brands - a mini suite with at least some of the suite perks.

I would think anything Sky class would include the things listed in that section here:

What benefits are included in each Royal Suite Class Tier? | Royal Caribbean Cruises

It’s a good thing, full suite entitlement with out the fancy cabin.

Phil, can you tell me the benefits of Sky Junior Suite.

I notice this on Anthem's sailings.

I’m trying to think here Micheal

Sea ,is basic Junior suit with only ,coastal kitchen access only, no suite lounge.

Junior suite sky ,should give you full suite entitlement . Just like a grand suite or above.

I can't see your pics Phil. What do the prices look like?

These are decent typical Royal offerings on feature packed Royal ships. The disappointment for me is that it is just too typical, and the local office is a victim of not delivering on their aspirations. Over the past 10 years, the travel media bites have been:

    - We will have a ship here year-round

    - We are bringing an Oasis class ship (by 2020)

    - A Perfect Day at Lelepa

Instead, we get the same stuff less a ship downgrade. I will poke through the dates and have a look at a shortie on Anthem. Apart from that, I am also on the sidelines awaiting some exciting news for 26/27.

Itineraries are the usual suspects and the prices are pretty obscene.

They are on Royal Caribbean website.

20 October 2025 from Rome is my pick.

Cancel these 2 and run to Dubai via Capetown.

7-Night Italy & Croatia October 20, 2025 Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy • Naples/Capri, Italy • Sicily (Messina), Italy • Cruising • Bar, Montenegro • Dubrovnik, Croatia • Split, Croatia • Ravenna, Italy 7-Night Italy & Croatia October 27, 2025 Ravenna (Venice), Italy • Zadar, Croatia • Dubrovnik, Croatia • Kotor, Montenegro • Cruising • Sicily (Messina), Italy • Naples/Capri, Italy • Rome (Civitavecchia)

I was thinking of flying into Frankfurt or something and a road or rail trip ending in Venice .Then the last Adriatic cruise that ends in Rome and b2b onto the repo.

I think I will go ahead with it ,Singapore airlines have a pretty good refund policy.

If they change the repo they would have to drop a cruise or two.

Im just wondering if it would be in the Mediterranean or Brisbane.

    What do you think?
