  1. Not seeing it updated on my end. Could you send a link to the sail safe page you’re looking at? Still seeing the TESTING REQUIRED here
  2. No the info in the email is different from the sail safe site. On behalf of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), we thank you for your patronage and loyalty and for making us your vacation of choice. In advance of your upcoming cruise, we want to ensure that you are fully aware of our latest health and safety protocols, as well as the travel requirements for the destinations we will visit for sailings through and including September 2, 2022. We strongly encourage all guests to visit www.ncl.com/sail-safe for all vaccination and testing requirements and www.ncl.com/travel-requirements-by-country for all country specific requirements. While these resources are more detailed, below is a summary for your convenience of destination specific protocols: PRE-CRUISE COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENTS Cruises Originating from the U.S.: - Guests less than 2 years old (vaccinated or unvaccinated): no testing requirements - Unvaccinated guests age 2 through 11 years old: must provide proof of a negative NAAT (i.e.) PCR test taken within 3 days of embarkation, as well as additional testing at embarkation and disembarkation administered and paid for by NCL - Vaccinated guests age 2 and older: must provide proof of either a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 2 days of embarkation; proof of a negative NAAT (i.e. PCR) test taken within 3 days of embarkation or a COVID-19 recovery certificate* - Unvaccinated guests age 12 and older: unable to cruise. Cruises Originating from Canada: - Guests less than 5 years old (vaccinated or unvaccinated): no testing requirements - Unvaccinated guests age 5 through 11 years old: must provide proof of a negative NAAT (i.e.) PCR test taken within 3 days of embarkation, as well as additional testing at embarkation and disembarkation administered and paid for by NCL - Vaccinated guests age 5 and older: must provide proof of either a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 2 days of embarkation; proof of a negative NAAT (i.e. PCR) test taken within 3 days of embarkation or a COVID-19 recovery certificate* - Unvaccinated guests age 12 and older: unable to cruise. Cruises Originating from Piraeus, Greece: - Guests less than 12 years old (vaccinated or unvaccinated): no testing requirements - Vaccinated guests age 12 and older: must provide proof of either a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 2 days of embarkation; proof of a negative NAAT (i.e. PCR) test taken within 3 days of embarkation or a COVID-19 recovery certificate* - Unvaccinated guests age 12 and older: unable to cruise. All COVID-19 tests, either antigen or NAAT (i.e. PCR) must be administered by a verified third party. Please note, proctored self-administered tests are not accepted for cruises embarking in Greece. *Please note, a COVID-19 Recovery Certificate may be presented as an alternative to the testing requirement as noted above if you have tested positive within 90 days (US) or 180 days (EU) of your scheduled embarkation date. This excludes all voyages visiting Bermuda. - At check in, these guests must have one of the below acceptable forms of COVID-19 Recovery available (dated no less than 10 days and no more than 90 days (US) and 180 days (EU) before embarkation): - For European citizens, this would include an EU Green Pass or comparable certificate. - For guests unable to present an EU Green Pass (i.e. U.S. citizens), a doctor's note, plus a laboratory-confirmed PCR test result with the proper information (i.e. name, date, date of birth, positive result etc.) will be accepted. Cruises originating from all other destinations: - All guests are not subject to pre-cruise COVID-19 testing.
  3. As I said the website information and the email that went out today are completely contradicting. I think it’s got to be a mistake. If I receive the email, I will print out a copy of the email and bring it to the port with me.
  4. And apparently someone on my sailing just got an email which says the opposite: Cruises originating from all other destinations: - All guests are not subject to pre-cruise COVID-19 testing. what a mess!!!!
  5. Can’t believe this. I am sailing September 2 and they have reinstated the test requirement. Like what the actual F? Testing & Pre-Embarkation Protocols Unless otherwise stipulated by local regulations (Cruise Travel Requirements by Country) that would supersede our policy, at time of check-in, the following testing requirements would apply: For all sailings through September 2, 2022: All vaccinated guests, regardless of age, must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or NAAT test (i.e., PCR) taken within 2 days of the embarkation date for cruises originating in a U.S. or Canadian port and within 3 days of the embarkation date for cruises originating from a non-U.S./Canadian port.
  6. Yes but lol, no one has answered the main question I have been asking about the messaging app. DOES IT WORK PROPERLY AGAIN? Notifications did not work in February. We were unable to get messages without manually opening the app and checking.
  7. Does anyone know if iPhone notifications are working again? if anyone has had recent experience pls lmk. They were down on the bliss this February and NCL credited me for the bug
  8. I appreciate the advice on the drinks pack. LUCKILY my sailing includes a $100 OBC so between occasional room service which is I think $5? And some occasional up charges on wine or a “nicer” drink, the $100 should MOSTLY cover what it would have cost for the extra drinks pack…which if I am not mistaken is not cheap to buy daily!
  9. We travel the world and the seven seas. Everybody’s looking for something.
  10. CelebrityX! Also it’s never been clear what the X stands for. Methinks the X is some legacy branding they forgot to take away because I never hear anyone actually calling it CelebrityX these days.
  11. as long as there’s always party people to be found on board, I’m down. You know, that loud crowd with austentacious outfits that break into conga lines and sing along with “sweet caroline” every time it comes on, shoulder to shoulder whilst their beer sloshes from their mugs…
  12. I do, as long as your jokes aren’t what constitutes “entertainment” on celebrity
  13. Is there any late food options on celebrity? Like osheaens or the local on NCL or sorrentos on RCCL. I don’t see ANYTHING 😞 If not, how much is the room service charge and is it one fee per order for as much as you want? I assume the night room service menu is basically garbage right? Pizza chicken fingers hot dogs and burgahs need me that late night phhh0000d y’all
  14. Can I get any good drinks for up to $9? Many of the fun drinks and martinis are $12-$15 on NCL
  15. Also I gather celebrity has lots less “fun” stuff right? No water slides no go karts no nothing. Any basketball courts. luckily I will be there with a group so I’ll be busy. But I am expecting a much more mature “make your own fun through socializing” experience. does the basic drinks pack cover only up to $9 per drink or is that limit for wine only?
  16. 8+ NCLs under my belt, all big ships plus 1 on RCCL symphony. First time on celebrity…apex in November. What am I in for compared to NCL. I understand its likely to be like night and day in terms of experiences coming from NCL right? How is the nightlife on Celebrity?
  17. My February cruise on Bliss saw the NCL app Not sending notifications of new msgs on the iPhone. It was a big issue as my group as gonna rely on it and no one could reach each other for reservations and such. Interestingly, app to app phone calls DID trigger a notification… internet desk guy acknowledged it was an issue, NCL refunded me the $10 fee after the cruise and gave me a $100 credit. question: anyone know if the app has since been fixed or was perhaps limited to bliss only? Sailing the excape 10 days in September with a group and really want this to work properly interestingly, the app used to be really quite reliable, good and feature-rich, some years ago and only gave me major issues on this one trip. There had always been blips here or there in the past but it was generally reliable and became a huge part of my cruise experience as the extra connectivity actually ALLOWS more independence when you want alone time with a group as you do not need to worry about coordinating meal and event times ahead of time. Everything could be done spontaneously
  18. Agree with others that this is more of blessing than a curse. Spending that much time with that many people in one cabin is not my idea of a fun vacation, even if they are my family. Especially on a SOFA BED in what’s supposed to be a luxury-class suite. NCL should be offering haven amenities and services to the balcony person though - butler service on call and all the rest of it. Basically the balcony suite should be treated like a haven suite and a haven experience since that’s what you’re paying for. If they say they can’t do it, this is BS, because customization and individual “pampering” (hate that word, but it’s what they say) is exactly what the haven is known for. All they have to do is provide meal service and a butler phone In the extra cabin… and if you can get the balcony really close to the haven, I don’t see what’s the big deal. Hell, it might mean getting views of both sides of the ship!!!
  19. If people participate in the roll calls and then Specifically choose not to do the meet and greet.. that is a bit snooty and disrespectful. I understand if they’re too early or there’s some other conflicting event going on, etc etc but to deliberately choose not to participate… it makes it sound like the person feels they’re above it
  20. Awful. Just awful. I don’t usually like to get involved in group outrage, but this might be an exception. For this kind of experience I would expect: a) be relocated at least to the best possible stateroom one class down for the Duration of the outage or the whole cruise if it was more convenient not to have to move again, with full access to the haven areas b) the cost of the haven suite refunded, minus the cost of what the relocated room would have cost. (So for example if haven was 8000 and you were moved to a balcony valued at about 2000, they should give you 6000 back) c) one free future cruise of SOME kind (at least interior but really, it should be a balcony) totally unacceptable and unsanitary in the current environment especially for paying haven customers, and With capacity being what it is, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t at least offer to move you to a regular stateroom with its own toilet. EWWW.
  21. Ha ha why should it be? Stuff plastic in it to stop tearing and then tape it good. Hockey tape probably even easier
