  1. Thanks so much for your response. I'm not sure, but it seems like the Latitude points will be credited even if you don't have an account. But I'll know for sure after my cruise. Right now when I go to my account and look at the cruise guests for our cruise, it shows all of us with our Latitude numbers. They even already assigned one to my daughter who has never sailed with NCL. My husband and I sailed with them in 2008 in Hawaii so it shows us as Bronze level. For my daughter it says Tier Level: First Timer 😊. Maybe my TA requested her number.
  2. I will soon be sailing with my husband and 16 year old daughter. Currently, I am the only one in our family with an NCL.com account. Is it necessary to set up a separate NCL.com account for my husband? A few questions that come to mind: 1. If I set up an separate account for my husband, will I still be able to do online check-in for the 3 of us at one time or will I have to do myself and daughter and then do my husband separately under his account? 2. If I don't set up a separate account for him, will he still be able to use his free 150 internet minutes if I upgrade my minutes to unlimited premium Wi-Fi? 3. If I don't set up a separate account for him, how will it work for the NCL app? I doubt he will even want to use it but if he does, can he just sign into in using my account info? 4. Regarding the app, the NCL site says this for children: "The Cruise Norwegian mobile app is not intended for children under the age of 13. However, permission by a parent or guardian in the same stateroom can be granted through their mobile app. To grant permission, a parent must log into the app with their information, open the main menu and navigate to the Preference Center, select the CHILD ACCESS menu option, and follow the instructions." I don't understand how this works in practice. Do I grant Child Access but then my daughter logs into the app using my login information? I'm assuming she may not create her own NCL.com account since she's 16? Thank you for your help!
  3. Hello! Sydney, Cape Breton is in Nova Scotia, Canada.
  4. Uh oh, I'm only 5'1". Looks like hubby will be get to help out (which he's happy to do). Thanks very much for the info!
  5. @OrangeCatRamblers, as a family of 3 in a balcony cabin, how was the storage space for you? Were you able to unpack or did you have to keep a lot in your suitcases? And how did you handle towels (hand and bath)? Were there places to hang them for the 3 of you? Thanks!
  6. Thanks OrangeCatRamblers for your awesome review. So many helpful tips. My family is sailing on the Prima this summer and are getting very excited and your review has really added to the excitement. Regarding the sofa bed, how did you/your room steward handle it with the once a day room servicing? Did you open it/put it away? Also, how did you son find the sofa bed's comfiness level?
  7. I also posted this information on the NCL site. I am also on a Prima sailing this summer and it does not say we are tendering in Isafjordur. Looking at Celebrity's (I know they are different than NCL, but they also have larger ships visiting) website, they say: "On cruises to Isafjordur, your ship will dock in the port of Isafjordur, which is located within a natural harbor in the Westfjords region." I also found this article: https://www.cruiseeurope.com/news/news-isafjordur-1613379438/ so hopefully it means they can now accommodate larger ships.

  9. Do you have any other suggestions on what to request to help reduce sodium intake? OrangeCatRamblers had some good suggestions a few posts later from yours like requesting no cheese, no sauce, dressing on the side. But I would love to hear any other things that worked well for you. Thank you!
  10. What can be done that won't penalize the room steward but make NCL realize this isn't working and their customers aren't happy? The stewards have been given more work than before because they now have over twice the rooms to service in the same amount of time. This is not their fault. It's NCL's fault completely.
  11. My husband and I each have $75 OBC from being prior NCL cruisers. Does that combine to $150 for our cabin or will it be applied as $75 for each person's separate charges? I am usually the one to charge things during our cruises but do I need my husband to charge at le ast $75 in order for his OBC to be applied? Thanks!
  12. Thanks for your reply! Yes, tipping in advance is not ideal. I just didn't know how I would go about getting 5 - 10 euros for tipping. I didn't want to stop at an ATM just for a few euros.
  13. After googling, it looks like tips are not expected in Amsterdam but are appreciated and one should feel free to do so if there was good service (tip at around 10%). We weren't planning on getting Euros for our trip as we're only in 2 locations that take them. Can one add on a tip when buying the tickets (although I realize I won't know if the service is good at that point)?
  14. Do you have to have the drink package to use the mini-machine in Indulge?
  15. Thank you for taking the time to post these!
  16. No, we're going into London for a few days before Southampton.
  17. Thanks, Bird and Kierste! Much appreciated.
  18. Are there Bank ATM's at Heathrow? I would like to get a small amount of cash before we get picked up by private car. I understand tipping is not expected and should be a small amount if anything, but it would be nice to tip if we have a really good driver.
  19. We have an upcoming cruise on the Prima and was wondering how beverages are handled in Indulge. We won't have the drink package. Is there a self-serve beverage dispenser similar to what is in the buffet with water, lemonade, iced tea, etc. Or can those types of drinks be ordered on the touchscreens? Thanks!
  20. For anyone who has walked from the cruise terminal to the Anne Frank house, is there anything tricky about the route? I googled it and it looks OK, but it's kind of hard to tell if there's any complicated walking situations (like crossing roads that are hard to cross). Thank you!
  21. I have no problem going back to the in-person muster, but if NCL is going to require this, they need to make sure it's effective. Reading reports from people who couldn't hear or understand the instructions is discouraging. And of course people should be annoyed when some of their fellow cruisers don't mind inconveniencing people by being late or not showing up at all for the muster, thus delaying it's start.
  22. Will they offer this twice on an 11 day cruise? That would be great! I haven't heard any complaints on the quality of the laundry service on NCL. Do they do a good job? When I sailed Celebrity there were a lot of complaints of things coming back shrunk. Thanks!
  23. I find this lack of storage disappointing. I'm still very much looking forward to our trip on the Prima, but one of the things I really love about cruising is unpacking and not having to live out of my suitcase. We are a family of 3 so it's going to be a challenge. It seems so short sighted not to have better storage space or at least more shelving to put clothing onto.
  24. How is the conditioning shampoo? I'm not picky with my hair products, but I do like to use a separate conditioner but I hate to take up precious suitcase space with a container of conditioner. I have very thick hair. Thanks!
