  1. I just bought this package for my upcoming cruise. It says you can pick any three. Teppanyaki is an additional $10.00 per person. Also Butchers Cut is only allowed one time.
  2. We will be traveling with friends and are sitting together for all dining. We have the drink package and they do not. It all depends on what MSC rep you speak to. It appears that US based reps are easier to get answers from and will place you together at the same table. The foreign reps...no
  3. The Easy Plus drink package and WiFi is per person. I called to get clarification on this as we are used to sharing one upgraded WiFi between the two of us. Each person has their own WiFi on MSC with this. 🙂
  4. I was told 60 days out the restaurant packages are available. Just keep checking daily.😋
  5. Just saw the MSC discounts offered. Fine print says only cruises out of Florida can use them. Bummer.....
  6. Reports here in NY are saying they will be gone when cruise season starts. Cunard and Princess sail out of the Brooklyn terminal also.
  7. We will be sailing at the end of May on the Meraviglia. I was told 60 days before departure the specialty dining packages will show up online for purchase.
  8. I am having the same issue. We are cruising at the end of May out of NY. I spoke to MSC and they said after the January 1st they will be released onto the website. I guess we just have to keep checking.
  9. Thank you for your insight! I think we will try this type of massage. We aways get a Swedish massage but this seems so relaxing. I was wondering about the stomach area massaging as I am prone to being ticklish and I don't want to start laughing!
  10. Thinking of booking a massage but I have never had a Balinese massage. How is the experience? What is the difference between Balinese massage and Swedish massage? The price seems to good to pass up right now pre cruise 🙂 curious as to how your experience was on MSC ships. Thanks
  11. This will be our first time on MSC Meraviglia might be a silly question but how do you enroll in the Casino program? Is there a casino host desk in the casino that we need to register with? Or do they just seek you out from your onboard play?
  12. Thanks everyone for all the input. I have decided to book air on our own and not take advantage of the free airfare offer. BTW it is not really "free" but $1500.00 when you remove it from the booking. I spoke to my NCL rep and she said book on your own. That was enough to make up my mind for me! It's true if you request a major hub airport NCL can book a different airport if it is within 60 miles. No way do I want to go through Newark if I request JFK. Newark always has cheaper airfares so this is possible.
  13. Oh my! Just curious what airport are you flying out of and to what port?
  14. Hi Everyone, I am interested in a cruise out of and returning to Barcelona. We would leave out of JFK in NY. Anyone with experience using the air promo through NCL? Were you able to get direct flights? Did you have crazy long connecting flight times? I know they will book the cheapest air that there is. Was anyone able to call the airlines and do an upgrade? Any information will be appreciated!
  15. There's a non alcohol package only. Book now our alcohol-free package and stay refreshed! Includes: a wide choice of alcoholfree cocktails sodas energy drinks mineral water flavored water fruit juices coffee drinks (latte, espresso, cappuccino, etc.) soft drinks hot chocolate hot teas soft-serve ice cream
  16. Do you have to upload your own photo or do they take your picture when you check in for embarkation? Thanks
  17. Going out of NY in May 1st time on MSC. My question is do you need to really be "formal" on formal night? We usually skip the formal attire more business casual is our speed for evening. Are they strict about their dress code? It is our vacation time 🙂 How many formal nights on the 7 day cruise and is there a white party or a theme party? Thanks for any info!
  18. We just did both ships this year. Joy is a beautiful ship, smaller than Oasis and also newer. That said I am not a fan of Joy. The food in the main dinning room for dinner was not as good as main dining dinner on Oasis. We did 3 speciality restaurants on Joy and the only one that stood out was the steak house and the steak house on Oasis was better. The Italian restaurant on Oasis Giovannis is our favorite on any ship to date. Their filet does not compare to any steak in the past. The seasonings are unbelievable! The casino is much smaller on Joy. The pool area is too. If you have kids Oasis is better with more things for families. The aqua show was great on Oasis...Cats is another story lol We loved Central Park on Oasis at night listening to the guitar player and having a drink. I was also torn when I booked Joy as I would move up with RCL but we wanted to experience the ship and the deal we got was pretty good.
  19. Look under the topic: New to MSC I have questions! I asked about menus and there are breakfast, lunch and dinner menus posted for the main dining room and also a coffee menu! If someone knows how to get them all into this thread maybe they can be pinned to the top like the YC menus. Unfortunatly I don't know how to do that..
  20. Since Black Friday is almost here do you think the passes will go on sale? Did MSC ever do black Friday sales in the past like RCL?
  21. Thanks for the video! Looks interesting...please let me know how you like it when you go on your cruise as my cruise will be in May out of NY. I think this is something we may do!
  22. I have never done the thermal spa on a cruise. I see I can purchase a pass for the entire cruise. Does it get crowded? There is an emotional shower listed. What is this? Are the loungers heated? Is there staff that you would have to tip there? Any info will be appreciated!
  23. I got a call from my MSC cruise concierge! Didn't know they had them or that I had one lol I asked what the daily gratuity charge was. It is $14 per person per day . Less than RCL which is now $16 per person per day. This could have been prepaid if I booked through him but now I need to call MSC customer service if I want to prepay the gratuities. Also he said I can pick a main dinning room time because I booked the Fantastica package. Anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 Didn't know that was part of the package! Have to visit the dining room when you get onboard.
  24. We were on Oasis and did the 3 night dining package. The only night in the main dining room that I was interested in making sure we were eating there was lobster night. Did Giovanni, Chops and 150. Giovanni filet was the best I ever had and out of the 3 I liked this restaurant the best. Chops was just OK and 150 was very good. All main dining room menus are in the app.
