  1. I see that today It's working for me. I also noticed no state or senior discounts.
  2. I apologize in advance if this topic has already been covered.....I couldn't find it with this new cruise critic search function. Anyway, did Celebrity change the way we used to be able to check for deals? While doing a "mock" booking, after selecting the number of cabins, the next screen used to say something like, "check for offers." Now this same screen says "bonus for Classic members and above." How does one check for military and state fares with this new program? Maybe they are trying to do away with so many discounts, etc? Thoughts? As always, thanks in advance....
  3. The fix to this is easy......just go to your lawyer (everyone has one, right?) and ask HIM (her) for a letter saying that you will not under any circumstances sue the above mentioned doctor should you die while on the cruise! Perfect solution, well at least it would make sense to the absolute IDIOTS who decided age discrimination in this day and age is ok.
  4. I really miss.......the $4,000. US I paid for my cruise which MSC cancelled!!
  5. How did these people get home from the cruise? Is it possible that the cruise was NOT the source of the infection, but rather the airport, plane, etc, etc?
  6. This is all gloom and doom and NOT backed up with any kind of hard facts.
  7. Why not? What does force majeure have to do with their reputation? It means forces beyond their control, has nothing to do with their reputation. US airlines have used this in the past and other than still being airlines, their reputation hasn't suffered.
  8. Can you please post a link to that letter? Thank you, g3
  9. I would suggest this isn't the first time this guy has done this. If that's the case....he wouldn't have done it to you if the last person he tried it with REPORTED HIM!!!!!
  10. I almost always book 2 cabins (side by side) when cruises are first announced. In 20 years, we have only canceled both cabins once, due to the death of 1 of our children. Most of the time, say 75%, friends have said they'd like to go and we set them up in the second cabin. Not doing that now. In that time frame, Celebrity has canceled 2 of our cruises and left us with little recourse in booking a new voyage. The whole Celebrity thing is getting tiresome. It's a nice cruise (we've been on better) but getting more expensive and difficult to deal with.
  11. I retired form the airlines after 29+ years as a crewmember. IF you fly in on the day of cruise departure, it's only a matter of time before you get burned. Weather, strikes, maintenance, computer gliches, medical issues, security issues, inflight diversions, baggage issues, catering issues, fuel issues, missed connections (crew/airplane/you), etc, etc, etc ad naseum. I've been delayed and canceled by all of them and more than I can remember. I t ' s o n l y a m a t t e r o f t i m e!
  12. One big negative is the fact they Celebrity keeps chartering this ship......and displacing loyal customers!
