  1. Agree with @Outerdog...eliminate any possible confusion by deleting BOTH from your device.  That *should* clear out any conflicting data that might be hanging around.  Then download the only one that is now available and go with that one.  Your password that you use on the website *should* work on the app...but @LeeW points out a very important distinction that just might be biting you as far as "special" characters you may be using.

  2. I can attest to the need to call!  Just a couple days ago (for the current flash sale) I cancelled an excursion to rebook at the better price ($60 better...) I was able to successfully cancel with no problem.  But, within 30 seconds when I tried to rebook it would only let me select 1 of us to book.  It did NOT say "only 1 remaining" or anything like that.  I called, explained what had happened and they immediately had both of us rebooked...at the flash sale price.  Website definitely has some issues.

I asked this earlier of the OP, but what are people charging? For most electronics, there are multiple, arguably better, options that don't require a power strip. Almost all newer electronics charge with a USB cable, and a USB charging hub, usually a USB C/A hub, is going to take up much less space, use less power, present a negligible overload/fire risk, and charge your items as fast if not faster than plugging into a power strip. And the power strips people have shown are generations old on their USB slots. There's no way on earth you'd want to try to charge a newer iPhone, for instance, on those first generation USB A slots. It would take forever! And if you're plugging your iPhone or Galaxy adapter into the 120V plugs, you've added an unnecessary link in your charging chain. And weight and cube to your packing.

There are dozens of USB A/C charging stations on Amazon. Get one with a detachable cord, set the block on the desk/counter top, and plug your devices in using USB C cables (USB C to USB C, USB C to Lightning, or USB C to Micro USB). You can get USB C chargers for almost all phone batteries, usually with spare batteries, for $20 bucks or so. It takes up much less space and leaves the outlets for things that can't use a USB C connection, like hairdryers.

This is on Amazon for $69 and will charge almost anything I can think of.

    Agreed...this is what we use:

I have the same exact question. My cruise is this July and I have made the full payment a couple of weeks ago. The concierge room I booked is now £1000 cheaper. I booked it directly on Celebrity's website. What is it best to contact Celebrity for a price match, over the phone or by sending the price guarantee form? Thanks!

Sorry...cannot answer your question but wanted to welcome you to Cruise Critic!

  5. We have used Blackberry Cars many times when in London waiting to cruise...but we've never used them for the Southampton leg.  We're usually on a different cruise line and we use that line's transfer service.  But, I can highly recommend Blackberry cars...always on time and very professional.

    Computers versus humans

We are a couple (just 2 people) who enjoy MDR dining, at a table for 6 or 8 people*.

We enjoy the same dining time each evening*, in the same MDR*, with the same group of people*.

I think the problem you are seeing is that the system has no way of coordinating the dining schedules of seemingly random people.  Unless when you say "with the same group of people* you mean a group of people that are actually travelling with you and your reservations are "linked".  Assuming you mean people you are NOT linked, if you leave that item out then you can accomplish your goal.

...so I was thinking that if you don't get a package, you don't get a medallion.

Nope... *Everybody* gets a medallion since it serves as your "key card" like other cruise lines use.

  8. There's usually a 2 or 3 day delay when canceling an excursion before it goes back to a credit card (at least in my experience).  Since you turned right around and booked another excursion, the system "knew" you had some credits there and just automatically applied those funds.

Quizzes are a good activity for mixing -  folk usually welcome others into a team, gives them more chance of winning fantastic 😏 prizes like lanyards, pens, key fobs etc

If this is now how Pasta Primavera is made at Sabatinis, with a thick tomato cream sauce, that is very disappointing. We have a reservation for Sabatinis and if the Primavera with fresh vegetables is no longer available, they need to take it off the menu and stop getting peoples hopes up about receiving traditional Primavera. Pasta with red sauce isn't my thing. I may have to rethink our upcoming res and change it to Catch by Rudy.

The Catch has quickly become our favorite...

I have used National Express coaches to/from Heathrow and Victoria Coach Terminal to/ from Southampton Coach Station several times without any problem, though it can get quite congested in the Southampton waiting room which is limited in space. On the positive side the fares are quite reasonable when booked in advance.

    Welcome to Cruise Critic!
