Do you know how to look at different bookings in the app? Some are not aware that you can click/tap on your profile picture and you will then see other cruises that are booked. As @PacnGoNowsays above...the old one will eventually drop out but your new one *may* already be available.
DW follows a FB group for the Sky. She says that it has been reported there that since we missed 2 possible resupply ports we are now short on Kleenex, bathroom tissue and bananas!
Welcome to Cruise Critic...but Princess tends to lose a lot more from missed ports than sea days. A fair percentage of passengers have beverage packages so that makes no difference to Princess...they've already been paid that revenue. And in case you were not aware, Princess excursions are always marked up a percentage over the "local" (direct) tour price. That's always going to be a big chunk of change that they are missing by not visiting scheduled ports.
Sure...it's disappointing but I would rather err on the side of safety. I have no desire to star in "The Poseidon Adventure 2"!
We were previously told that the next 2 or 3 days was RAIN AND MORE RAIN. Well, it sure looks like we will NOT have rain today, though not as nice a day as in Seyðisfjörður. That was a picture perfect day!
I'm going strictly on what was relayed to me by IET. They said they had spoken directly with Princess and that *supposedly* Reykjavik was "pending decision". That surprised me...I thought the same as you that it was a done deal...and maybe (probably) it is.
Well, we actually made it to port in Isafjordur. This was one of the original ports that was first canceled. This is the 2nd Iceland port so far...supposedly the jury is still out on Reykjavik.
Interesting...on the Sky now and the two times we've used laundry service we got it back next day. We're not elite and did not ask for expedited service.
Nope, no heated pools other than the hot tubs. We're on the Sky right now...way too cold for comfortable swimming although we have seen a couple of hardy souls in hot tubs!
I would assume that it would be even colder in April.
Yes, it's always a nice boost of morale when that box appears in your mailbox. Given that these are shipped from Cina (usually) I don't see why they couldn't ship to other places besides the US. Seems a bit arbitrary.
