  1. @Momof3gurlz Add me to the list as well. For my upcoming flight to MCO, I had a choice of JetBlue or Breeze as Delta & United were too expensive. I seriously considered Breeze which was a bit cheaper but in the end, choose JetBlue. I used to be a big fan of JetBlue so for the extra $30 or $40, I decided to go with the known product. Curiously, Southwest does not offer non-stop flights from the New York area to MCO.
  2. There is a house on my street for sale. Neighborhood could use an ambiance upgrade. Cape Liberty is less than a 90 minute drive away. Just throwing that out there. 😉
  3. The smart guest will order 2 drinks right away & then as soon as they finish the first one, order the next. That way they will never have to wait. 😇
  4. A friend of mine unknowingly booked a pool view room. An early-to-bed and early-to-rise person. Big mistake. The band played right outside kept them up until the wee hours. They tried to relocate to the other side (street side) but the resort was full.
  5. I haven't been on the world cruise thread in ages but if that were to happen, I'd been checking in every day....maybe every hour.😄
  6. This is the one available for my cruise. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/shore-excursions/cur/willemstad-curacao/snorkel-trip-to-turtle-bay/cul9 I read some reviews at the "other" blog site and none were favorable. Despite the name Turtle Bay, turtles were not to be seen.
  7. That's a neat trick that the scammer gave you a call back number so you could "verify" that it's not a scam. All it would do is connect you to another scammer that is sitting next to original scammer. I just got text message from NYC saying I have an unpaid parking ticket balance of $2.50 & a link to pay it before a $25 late fee surcharge kicks in. First of all, $2.50??? Unless it's from 1970, I'm pretty sure any ticket from the great City of New York starts at $50 & increases in increments of $50. Second, every speeding & red light camera (I sometime forget No Right on Red in the city) ticket has been sent in the mail to me. Thirdly, the text came from a Montreal, Canada area code. But most importantly, when I went to the NYC official website, the link to pay for tickets wasn't even close to the name of the link sent to me via text. Nice try, scammers. Not!
  8. Too bad, it would have made a nice way to spice up a conversation next time there is a thread on the main board complaining how you can no longer get an unlimited amount of lobster on Lobster Night. 😆😉 FWIW, I don't eat lobster. Not a fan plus it's way too much work for a small amount of meat. I'd probably expend more calories than I'd consume trying to eat it.
  9. After watching that video, it does make a beach break tempting. Royal does have two snorkel excursions from the Blue Bay Beach area, one of which is combination snorkel & beach break at the Blue Bay Beach Resort, so that is an option. The other snorkel excursion from BBB is.... ...snorkel with the turtles. It is also advertised as leaving from the Blue Bay Beach area but at only 3 hours long & no mention of beach time at the resort, it's a catamaran only snorkel excursion. Still, hard to pass up spending time with wildlife & it's turtles! Also like to thank @Ocean Boy, @Tree_skier, @Arzeena, @cruiselvr04 & anybody else I may have forgotten for their suggestions as well. Depending on the times of the snorkel excursions, I may try to see if I can sneak in a cave trip as well, either thru Royal or on my own.
  10. Speaking of my upcoming cruise, I'll be visiting Curaçao for the first time. This is the one island I may leave my friends and strike out on my own. Any thoughts on excursions? Right now, I'm thinking either a snorkel or catamaran (or both) excursion or a sightseeing and/or cave tour. Leaning toward snorkeling right now since this is probably the best (and only) island to do that. Aruba & Perfect Day are beach days with friends which is why I'm shying away from doing a beach on Curaçao. Unless they are really spectacular. I'm there from 11:30 am - 8:00 pm. There is a pub crawl excursion that visits 3 pubs but since I've already bought the drink package, this might my my one "day off"* from drinking. Any other options I should consider? * - meaning I plan to drink slightly less than the other days. 😇
  11. I'll be on Adventure on Aug 2nd for 8 nights. But it seems like you've already made up your mind. 🙂 EDIT: Liberty is always been a favorite of mine so I expect Adventure to be the same, just slight smaller without a dedicated Sorrentos.
  12. Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary on 10 years of retirement. I also started my IT career on IBM mainframes back in the mid-1980s. Spent about 10 years working on them & was told they'd be soon obsolete. So I moved on but apparently IBM mainframes are still going strong. I'm also retired now but thought about maybe doing some part time free-lancing as companies with mainframes are finding it hard to hire help. Need to do some serious brushing up first!
  13. Just to add on, Marisa Tomei who is Joe Pecsi girlfriend, is the perfect foil for him. She earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Often overlooked is Fred Gwynne - aka Herman Munster - as the serious, dry judge trying to maintain some dignity & order in his courtroom. Alas, it was his final performance as he passed just a year later.
  14. I've never pressure washed anything. I'll hose down the driveway whenever I wash the car & occasionally will hose down the back deck with the same garden hose. The nozzle does have a "turbo jet" setting that increases the pressure which seems to be enough. The house is a medium dark-ish blue so it hides the dirt very well. It'll probably look a little better if I pressure wash it but it certainly does not look dingy.
  15. Longer cruise is better cruise so Oasis. But if you are after more loyalty points & are close enough that it would move you up to the next level shortly (within the next few cruises), then Harmony.
  16. That reminds me of the Dragon Coaster at Rye's Playland Park, just north of NYC. That single "safety" (haha) bar was so loose, I also thought I'd be flung out to my death into the Long Island Sound. Thankfully my beer belly kept me wedged in. The scariest part for me wasn't the speed or steep drops (tame by today's standard) but the fact that at 6'2'', it seemed like I would hit my head when entering the dragons mouth tunnel or crossing under the trestle. There is a short video at the bottom of this link. https://www.aceonline.org/page/Dragon
  17. Where better to spend a 95 degree day than in a giant frying pan known as Yankee Stadium with 50,000 other hot sweaty souls. Honoring Willy May's An almost full moon & finally some relief from the heat.
  18. That roller-coaster looks like it was designed by Picasso. 😃 Old wooden coasters are the best. The creaky, clickety clack sounds, safety bar thats not quite tight enough & splintered wood gives the impression it's going to collapse at any time. Far scarier than any of the modern steel coasters with upside-down loops.
