That awful streaky bacon, I call it 'Nuked' or 'Cremated.' It is the way the Yanks like it. In the MDR and Buffets they used to have the English type bacon also Canadian bacon. -
Reduced pax load and many already on board like you, doing B2B's. Makes for faster check in and embarkation.

As the weeks and months go on, the ships will get up to 100% capacity, then they will probably enforce check in times.

Ah, ye olde Tin Can Bay, does the Army still have land up there for training and live firing? I recollect going up there around 1969 whilst in the CMF (Army Reserve of the day.) Had to ride a very uncomfortable Army BSA 500c motorcycle up there, couple of stops on the way. Saddle sore still, lol. I am in trouble again for hijacking another thread.🥺 -

Exactly, the cruise line would be getting a better price than normal $50, particularly as it is off season and some days the whale watch boat does not run - insufficent bookings. It will be full when the cruise ships are in town. -

I note no Pinot Grigio by the glass either, if they sell it by the bottle, they could sell it by the glass. -

3 hrs from here to Eden, easy drive. I go down to that area, Merimbula/Eden every couple of months for a few days, normally stay at Sapphire Waters Motor Inn, Merimbula. Not read the book, but I generally go to the Whale Museum and do the Whale Watch cruise from Eden if whale season. I note the ships are charging around $80 to $100 for the whale watch cruise from Eden wharf. Last time I did it last October, I paid $50. Another example of the cruise lines making the big bucks. -

You can sleep at home, lol. Likewise pax who insist on solo dining or tables for two, you can do that at home too. Highlight of cruising is a big table of 6 or 8 in the MDR. fun and frivolity every night. Pity Princess got rid of traditional fixed early/late dining. Lining up trying to get a table in ADT does not appeal. Yes I know, you can ring up and book a table, but not the same. -

I have been on both Coral Princess and her sister ship Island Princess Panama Canal and Alaska Inside Passage. Lucky Coral came here instead of Island. They butchered her, losing Universe Lounge, aft view decks and more importantly the full walk around promenade deck. All for the sake of putting additional cabins...$. There was a huge uproar in the American cruising fraternity when they butchered Island. Saved Coral. -
Perhaps they are going 50/50 in a reef pilot, reduce costs, lol.

If I may say so, you are really missing out on an experience not going to the shows, they are a big part of the Princess experience and you need to 'Come Back New.' 😁 -
Show Times for Majestic Princess Cruise November 2022
NSWP replied to CCC's's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
When we were on Royal Princess in Europe - 2016, same class as Majestic. They ran an Abba Revival show, twice on one night. I kid you not, 1 hour before each show every seat was full and standing in the aisles and on the stairs. To see the real the good production shows, getting there really early is a must. -

Something similar, but my advice is, having travelled on that class of ship, get there real early for a seat, 3600 pax and a 900 seat theatre dont fit, even with two shows, half the ship miss out happened to us on Royal Princess. -
