  1. I second Christophers tour. We used them when we were in Roatan last year (same time a Michelle) and they were fantastic. We did go to the monkey farm that had birds that you could see and have sit on your shoulder or head. Is was nice. There was just my wife and I on the tour did zip lining (South Shore), monkey's and the the beach. They have various packages. But our guide was great and wife was having such a great time we finished the tour eveen though she fell at the beach and hurt her foot. Actually found it was broken. So she spent the last half the cruise in a wheel chair. Yes Michelle we were the ones at the Chocolate Factory in Cozumel.

  2. You're signature line says you are going Dec 1st. Is that correct? We are not going until Dec 15th. We are headed to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel again this time. :D

Only a week and couple days and we are headed for Galveston.:) Are doing Maya Key and Roatan and Chanaak in Coz but still not sure on Belize. Was going for cave tubing but disc in lower back say NO. Now wife had eye surgery and can see without glasses so might be able to get her to snorkel will see.

  3. Where's the like button when you need it! :D

Saw you were going in December a while back and was hopeing even though we were not on the same ship might hit the same ports and possibly meet up. But saw you shipping is a little later than mine. Have fun and looiking forward to your reviews. :) We took the same cruise this year as last so wife could enjoy things after breaking her foot on last one. :( Well this year going but going to miss cave tubing. I need lower back surgery and it would not hold up. So looks like have to plan another that goes to Belieze. :) And we are doing Maya Key in Roatan.

  4. At the moment, the dolphin swim at Chankanaab offers a deal where you save 25% if you book before Oct 31st. I'm thinking whether to book now or whether to leave it a bit closer to the cruise (april).

Does anyone know if they run these kind of deals a few times a year, or is it best to book it now so I get the 25% off? I think we're almost 100% sure we want to do this excursion...but as it's still quite a while until the cruise, I find it hard to book and plan already...BUT if they only have this deal now, maybe it's wise to book it already..

I went through the same thing and kept watching for the buy get one free deal. But finally booked with the 25% off the Encouter one. most other big saving was on the swims which DW could not do. Not a bad saving on the 25% off but wouldn't you know it the very next week they ran a buy one get one for $1.00. Called them about it but there was a refund fee charge and after paying that would only save a few dollars. So my advice is to keep watching the website for them. You have plenty of time to book yet.

  5. Would be nice if cruise critic can have you post pictures like Dpreview, were you select picture from your hard drive and post in a large format for us to see.

Any one else have an option?

You can use facebook. Upload pictures to your facebook account and then you can copy and paste into cruise critic.

  6. If you plan on doing a lot of snorkeling or are like me that seems to take so many pictures you run out of film and are P----- a underwater camera is nice. Most of the boats your camera would be safe while on them taking pictures from the deck but would not advise taking regular camera into the water because when the stingrays come around youi are mostly going to drop it or it get wet. I have used disposables (Kodak and Fugi) before and got decent pictures but sent them off to a special lab to develope (mainly for color correction). But last year bought a digital underwater camera and got many underwater pics. But again depends on how much you would use it.

Stingray City or Sandbar is neat. Even the wife after watching for 10 minutes gotinto the water and had a blast.

And most of the tours have their own camera man that will take some pictures and sell afterward. We also bought them because they got pictures we never could have.

    Enjoy

  8. We snorkeled in St Lucia this past May and a couple of us did get hit a few times by jellyfish. When swimming around every now and then felt something like a mostique bite and could not figure it out right away till was coming back to sure and saw this. But rub some sand on it and some lotion and did not bother me anymore. One lady had some marks were it sort of lashed around her ankle but she also put lotion on and it was ok.

  9. Love following your post and seeing all the good information and pictures you put on here. Have received a couple of your post in answer to mine and PXY CDA questions before and take the info to heart. We will be there for one day in early May and really looking forward to the visit. We have plans that day and want also to see the monkeys. Maybe we will get lucky and see some as we wonder around. We are doing the turtle project in the morning then a beach and some sight seeing. Have to see that big tree in Queens park.

But looking at your pictures and post agee we need a week there to really see and enjoy the island. Maybe next vacation will be a land one instead of a cruise. Will use this trip to chaeck out the different islands but really like the look of Barbados.

Keep up the great work and post.
