Round trip would be preferable but happy to sail from elsewhere for example Greece, Miami etc. We loved the sense of being looked after so will go for club or concierge level.

Hi we just got back from an our first ever cruise on QM2 to Hamburg. The ship was lovely and we had a great time. There were several issues on board that we had to deal with which put a slight dampner on the trip itself. The first night the lights in our suite flickered quite badly. We had to get it sorted and it took them over an hour to sort it out. They had to change most of the bulbs. Sadly on the second night, we faced similar issues so they had to come again and changed the bulbs which addressed most of the flickering. On the third night we received our spa confirmation but there was a mix up: wrong name allocated to our room and it was not what we booked. So another evening trying to sort it out but the Spa was closed so had to address it in the morning. They were kind enough to add 25 mins to our massage which made it to 100 minutes. The Queens Grill was stunning, sadly it took staff a while to realised that the best way to communicate was via gestures. Once they warmed up to the idea (3rd morning) it was fine but then it was time for us to come home! We are keen to try another company for May 2025 any recommendations would be welcomed. Hi, We going on QM2 QG tomorrow for the first time. We have two big pieces of luggage and two cabin bags, as well as two suit carriers. From reading, it seems that we need to take the suit carrier and two cabin luggage with us? Am I right in thinking that once we board we can go straight to the room or QG for lunch, where do we put our luggage and suit carrier? Thanks

Thanks we have to check out at 11 and we are quite close to the car park (CPS). Wondering if we would be able to park and enjoy the sunshine whilst waiting to be let in at 12:15?

Hi there - could someone clarify something for us in relation to the time we are supposed to be able to check in versus the time we can board the ship. Our boarding pass says “Arrival time 1215”. Does that mean we can only park and check in from that time onwards, or do we board the ship at that time? TIA.

Hi, As we are staying at GQ2 and am I right thinking that we can ask Butler to arrange for our shirts to be pressed? If so what the costs and roughly turn around time? For example if we ask for shirts to be pressed will it be ready in time for evening meal if we boarding at 12:15. Thanks

Hi all, We are finally going on QM2 for the very first time this Sunday to Hamburg. We staying in QG (Penthouse) As it is out first time ever cruising, Any advice or things that regular Cunard goers know that others may not know. What we are not to miss out on in QG? I remember there were several recommendations on foods, could not remember what they were but need to look them up. Really looking forward experiencing the Cunard magic 🙂 We will be sailing on Disney Wish this August be interesting to compare the different.

Thanks, something for me to look into. I am not sure what VPN does in terms of cruise. If you wont mind sharing your thoughts on this as they do have a Shakespeare production which I would love to see but not sure if the live captioning will cope. Just have to book more spa days then!

Hi, We finally booked to sail on QV in May for 5 days to Hamburg which has two sea days. As I am Deaf I won’t be able to access to any of the lectures without captioning. They have agreed to provide 100 minutes internet data so I can use my device for live captioning. However, seeing that it is only means 1 hour and 40 minutes for the entire trip. How long does the lectures takes and how many per day as I do not want to pick and choose which due to minutes. They said if I need more then I have to buy them. I am not entirely comfortable that they are making a ‘profit’ from my ‘disability’ as others who attend lectures do not require to spend money whereas as I am Deaf I do need to spend money to have the same access as others. Its my first sailing with them and I am already feeling bit disappointed. Any advice?

What do people think of Royal Suite? I know it doesn’t have Balcony and we have booked a penthouse for 5 days cruise to Hamburg for May 2024 is it worth keeping penthouse due to Balcony? We never been on cruise before so appreciate people’s opinions. Thanks Jeff
