  1. We're on Princess out of LA. They haven't announced yet but I'm sure they will follow the others. Thanks, I didn't think about the test prior to boarding for kids.
  2. The SR-71 made a pass accross our runway once. This was before anyone knew what it was. Scared the H out of me. I was sure we were under attack. In the distance it looked like 2 of our F102's coming in, but as it got closer it got really loud, FAST and black.
  3. I was at Naha in 67-68. It was still a US territory.
  4. We are booked for a family cruise this summer and I know it's still up in the air if we'll go or not. My question is if children under 16 will have to have the vaccine before boarding? I'm sure that if the age is lowered for kids to be able to get the shot, they will be required to have it, but if the age is not lowered what happens then? Will they be allowed to board?
  5. We are booked for a cruise this summer (August 7) and I know it's still up in the air if we'll go or not. My question is if children under 16 will have to have the vaccine before boarding? I'm sure that if the age is lowered for kids to be able to get the shot, they will be required to have it, but if the age is not lowered what happens then? Will they be allowed to board?
  6. One of my Air Force units. 51st Field Maintence Squardon, Naha Okinawa.
  7. I think it's time for the industry to get the courts involved in this mess.
  8. What are the chances of an Alaskan cruise this summer? Will the US suspend the Jones Law? Will the Cruise lines pay the $25,000 in fines? Any thoughts?
  9. Booked the cruise, now need the air to get there. Pros and cons of each way. Also if you book through Princess (or any line) can you upgrade to business or first class?
  10. Dumb question I'm sure but, when you book an excurion with Princess, do you have to pay up front on your account or is it charged when you actually do the excursion?
  11. Update: We booked the Emerald Princess with the 2 family suites and a mini for ourselves to Alaska for August 2021. A bit more expensive than connecting cabins. All are club class with tips, wi-fi and drink packages included (soda for kids). One draw back is the family cabins are at the very front of the ship and the balcony will not be much use. We just hope everything is back to some sort of normal in a year.
  12. Airdale, That's great that you have had some experience driving one. A few reminders, your scooter will be much faster and more responsive than the store scooter. Also a 3 wheel is more agile (turning tight corners) than a 4 wheeler but they are more unstable on inclines. Have a great trip and let us all know how it went.
  13. Is this your first time ever using a scooter? If so you need to practice using one. It's not as easy as just getting on and riding away. You will run into and over people. We always wait for the elevator to fill then get in front of the door to be "next on". As stated before 99% of the people are GREAT, It's that less than 1% that you'll remember. Have a great cruise. (note I've been on 4 cruises with my scooter)
  14. I know I can call Princess, but you all are so much more fun. Booking a mini suite on Emerald Princess cabin D304 in class M1. Wondering if this is club class?
  15. Scooters must be kept in the cabin. You cannot tender with a scooter. the scooter must be 22 inches or less to fit through the cabin door. hopefully you have an accessible cabin. I Have been using a scooter for over 10 years on cruise ships (Princess and Holland America) I've never seen a scooter in the hallways, never been allowed to use a tender, and have always had and accessible cabin.
