My concern isn't with other cruise lines, its with this cruise line.

My point is since all cruise lines follow the same “rules” re only awarding points for cruises one actually took, you will not just be avoiding Celebrity, you won’t be cruising any cruise line.

I certainly am sorry you had such a devastating accident.  Best wishes for a complete recovery.

I was so shocked by the breakup, I guess because they were such a gorgeous couple. I'm a romantic at heart.

I had understood that during the divorce process she would want to be more private in terms of public social media…but I was assuming (hoping) that one day in the future we’d once again be able to enjoy her trip reports, her drone videos etc…. So I really miss her posts.

  3. Going strictly by threads on CC, Beyond gets the most mentions re noise.  Don’t know if that really means the other E Class ships have less of a problem…or it’s just not reported as much.  Beyond is larger and carries more passengers than Edge or Apex.  Was something changed in the design of the larger ship?  I don’t know.

I’ll look tomorrow morning but I asked a floating attendant in the buffet at breakfast & was told without a beverage package, I could not have tomato juice. I even told him, I don’t want a Bloody Mary, just tomato juice. 🤣

Well, it’s true I’ve never sailed on Ascent, but I’m Elite Plus on Celebrity and these juices have always been available at one of the islands.  I’m sorry you were misinformed.  Just look around at the islands; the carafes are out on the counter.

    What cabin numbers?

FWIW while in moderate seas with quartering or winds abeam have had significant noises on every Celebrity ship along with a couple Princess and HAL vessels.

Ships are made to flex.  Suggest the OP might best stay on land as weather is impossible to predict.

As for complaints about lots of things. . . Cruise Critic has moved from 90% of posters looking for assistance to over half with a gripe about something.

Whenever I read a reply like this I repost this video.

  6. I, too, had read reports of the banging and creaking on Beyond.  I did not discount these reports…but hoped to be lucky and have one of the unaffected cabins.  Alas, I had the crazy noises in cabin 7161.  At that time (November 2022) I said I wouldn’t sail Beyond or her younger sister ships again.  I sailed on Apex and Edge and did not have the noise issues.  I am giving Beyond one more try (🤞🤞) in a Sunset Veranda…accompanied by my ear plugs, white noise machine and headphones if necessary.

The black square indicates a sofa bed.  And if it was the bed location it would alternate every other stateroom on the deck plans, which it does not.

The black square or the triangle refer to cabins that sleep three or four.  Those cabins always have the bed by the bathroom.  The cabins do alternate although not every cabin that has the bed by the bathroom sleeps extra guests.  What you do is locate the closest cabin to you that has the black icon and count backwards or forwards to your cabin.  If you were next door to a black iconed cabin you have the bed by the balcony.  Two cabins away from the black icon will be bed by bathroom.

So it has changed from the policy quoted above where it said that the Sunset Bar was the only location cigars are allowed?

If you are referring to post #3, that was referencing cigar and pipe smoking on a Solstice Class ship.  On that class of ship cigar smoking is only allowed at the Sunset Bar.  My question was relating to Constellation, a Millennium Class ship.

  9. Not to discount anyone else’s experience but I will just state again that Special Needs at Sea will not rent you a scooter that will not fit in your cabin as they deliver and leave the scooter in your cabin.  I rented a scooter from them that easily fit in a non accessible cabin on Celebrity Equinox.

This thread is timely.  DH has walking (back) problem and also recently diagnosed with heart issues as well.  Cruise is booked and anticipated but getting around will be a concern and most likely not doable on a scale needed to enjoy it.  He's considering a scooter but from comments here they are a nuisance and not easily controlled if not experienced with one.  Would like to hear from someone who had one delivered to their non-accessible cabin;  could they enter the door and use the scooter easily?  He's of athletic build and ably strong, so he thinks it wouldn't be a problem for him if the access to the room is not an issue.

I rented a scooter from Special Needs at Sea in January 2020 for a cruise on Celebrity Equinox in a regular, not an accessible, balcony cabin.  It was a B2B and the scooter fit both in a cabin with bed by balcony and one with bed by bathroom.  Special Needs will ask the cabin you have booked and will not let you rent one that wouldn’t fit as they deliver them to your cabin.  I was very impressed with the service and the price.  I would suggest bringing a small door wedge to keep the cabin door open when entering or exiting if you are by yourself.  And I had never operated one before and I had no problem.  Granted I am in my 60’s.

Your fellow passengers finding you invisible in front of elevators is entirely another issue…😡

The menus are the same except for a very small section that is exclusive to just that dining room.

The “exclusive” menu items are available at any of the four MDRs.  You can be at Cosmopolitan and have an appetizer from Cyprus, an entree from Normandie and dessert from Tuscan…

  12. When we got home yesterday afternoon from our Reflection cruise, we found Martha had washed all the linens from the bed the cats had an accident on after locking themselves accidentally in the guest bedroom!  I hate to think of all the extra time and effort she went to.  Unbelievably she had folded the fitted sheet into the perfect rectangle shape it comes in when you first buy one.  We all know this is a domestic impossibility…unless you are Martha Stewart!  Wait…I think I see a connection…😁
