  1. We recently did a five night sailing on Equinox (a S Class ship.)  Our cruises are normally seven nights or longer (oh how I miss the Eclipse’s fourteen night sailings!)  I definitely noticed a younger demographic on the five night cruise.  I joked to my husband that it actually was nice not seeing the valet parking lot of scooters at the hostess stand area…

  2. Unfortunately, yes, I experienced this on Beyond.  It definitely is a known problem…albeit not one that seems to be often able to be fixed.  There needs to be some kind of modification in the ship’s design.  Please go to Guest Services as often as necessary to get some resolution. I don’t believe there are no other cabins they could move you to…I think they just don’t want to set a precedent.

  3. @dani negreanu Please rest assured that nothing you could share about the horrors you are experiencing would be considered “party pooping.”  This is the thread YOU started.  We all have shared highs and lows of our lives.  You were so kind to me when I was worried about Minnie’s surgery…reassuring me that it wasn’t silly for me to love a cat so much.  When you post, whether cheerful or sad, we are all so relieved to hear from you!  Since there is nothing other than prayers we have to help you, please allow us the opportunity to share in your joys and your sorrows.

Does Celebrity do the e-muster like Royal?

Spoken as a loyal Celebrity cruiser…yes, you watch a video on your phone or cabin TV then check in at your Muster Station with either your Sea Pass card or your Express Pass.  What is great about Celebrity is when you first board…even if it’s early like 11 am you are able to go to your cabin which probably won’t be finished yet, but you collect your Sea Pass cards in a slot outside your cabin and you are allowed to go drop off your carry on bags…put stuff in the safe…put the wine you brought onboard in the fridge.  Which means people aren’t camped out at the Oceanview Cafe (think Windjammer) waiting for the cabins to be available.  Now how long SOLAS allows e-muster to continue is anyone’s guess.  The allowance was made when sailing recommenced to avoid crowding.

  5. I may have told this story before lo the four years we’ve all gathered together here…. Our cat Tidbit was a great mouser…inside our house.  🙀  This was when we were living at an old farmhouse while working on New Haywood.  One night I woke up to a “Crunch CRUNCH” sound.  Yikes!  She was eating a mouse in our bed!!!  I screamed and woke up DH who was sleeping peacefully through the crunchy snack and my scream.  He got up and called to Tidbit.  I said “Don’t do that!  She’ll follow you and leave the partially devoured mouse in bed with me!”  Of course she didn’t; she jumped off with her prize.  DH removed it.  Fast forward another night when I woke up to a Crunch CRUNCH again…this time she was eating one on the bedroom floor.  DH decided to use the WC before coming back to deal with the mouse.  When he came back…no mouse.  He actually asked me if I’d moved it.  ?!?!?!  No, she’d just learned from the previous experience and swallowed her treat before it could be taken away from her.  There was nary a trace of said unfortunate mouse.  Gulp!

  6. A note about cell phones.  I know on IPhones that when you delete a voicemail it does not actually totally leave your phone.  Under Voicemail there is a Deleted Voicemail box.  There are the messages you deleted and messages from any blocked callers you have.  You must delete the deleted messages stored there.  Because you may not know they are there…but they are taking up space in your cell and people calling you will get the message box full information.

Ok, thanks.  It is disappointing and off putting when when more and more of a ships areas get closed off to general passengers.  Three times in six nights is a lot.  Concerned how often it will happen for my upcoming 13 night cruise.

Reflection has a smaller Sky Lounge than the other Solstice Class ships; the port side of the Lounge was take to build extra suites.  So Celebrity may close off the Sky Lounge during the Captain’s Club events on Reflection…they did not last month on Equinox.  On Equinox the Captains Club events in Sky were on the starboard side and a cordon was there…the left (port side) area was open to all.
