  1. My experience is they are all over the place on offers and also on comped cruises/casino rates. I have gotten exactly one email with a free cruise offer. That was two years ago. I’ve also booked three more comped cruises by calling the Blue Chip Club. I also managed to book a comped cruise on board earlier this year. Now I’m trying to book another and being told I can’t even get a casino rate. My play has been pretty consistent on each cruise. There’s not a lot of transparency into how it all works with Celebrity.
  2. My experience with AZ customer service is that they have no idea what’s really happening in the real world out there. I’ve had them tell me the same thing, but several people have reported using them with no issues to board. There’s another thread on this. Check it out.
  3. Just want to get to next credit card cycle. It’s six cabins.
  4. My final payments for a family Alaska cruise will come due while we are on Celebrity in A few weeks. Can I just go down to Future Cruises and make the payments? They are not through a TA.
  5. Glad to see good reviews of Spain Day Tours. Would have like to be able to write some as well, but we won’t get the chance. Tried to book a tour of Palma only to get the notice that not enough people had signed up yet and they would get back with me. They never contacted me again, but did send an email to someone else on our ship saying not enough people had signed up and offered them a private tour for about 700 euros. I also tried to book a Montserrat tour, but was told that they don’t do that tour anymore. It’s still on their website.
  6. We board in a few weeks. Your posts have been very helpful for us. You gave honest and thorough descriptions. You answered several questions that AZ customer service was unaware of. Thanks!
  7. Cruising is a wonderful way to see the world. It’s fun to take part in activities and share your vacation experience with family, old and new friends. We love it. We have taken eight cruises since last summer. Have not had, or caught COVID on board, that we know of anyway. I say that because we had to cancel a cruise in February because I tested positive pre-cruise with no symptoms. Never knew I had it except for the test. No cough, no fever, nothing. Two positive tests. This was two months after my booster shot. We are about to head to Europe for two cruises, with a few days between in Italy. The worst fear we have is not COVID, it’s the test requirements that could wreck our trip and cause us to get stuck somewhere. We have both gotten boosted again. I pretty much draw the line there. I won’t wear a mask unless we have to. I want to enjoy my vacation. It’ time to stop testing vaccinated (and boosted) people with no symptoms. Lots of posts on these forums show it is not stopping this insidious, yet now almost always mild, virus from being spread on ships. We don’t test people getting on a plane or going to a crowded concert. We have to learn to live with this and other minor risks if we are going to return to a normal life. At this point I wonder sometimes if some people even want to return to normal.
  8. Slovenia is one of the few places left that still shows these forms required if arriving by ship or ferry. Has anyone been to Koper in the last few weeks? Do we really need this for a port call there?
  9. Glad to hear this. What I can’t understand is why Azamara Customer Service doesn’t know about it.
  10. Anybody have any experience getting from the Ravenna train station to the ship? I called AZ and they said no shuttles from there. So they would give me a free ride from Venice, but can't help me get from the Ravenna train station? Sheesh.
