Thanks for posting @OneSixtyToOne. This WOV22 offer appears to be an extension of the WOV22 offer which @slewis7 posted on Aug 11 under post #63 only the $25 deposit feature is no longer included and there have been some modification of the itineraries included under the offer in addition to the extension of the expiration date. This adds to the complexity of the puzzle that Viking has created for us.

@ral1 I had received the promotion via email (from a Travel Agent), but posted the generic link here. I addressed my CC post to @jhooks61 because @jhooks61 mentioned interest in an Atlantic crossing in post #1, but anyone could have used it. As near as I can tell, offers codes like the one in this link, while on the Viking website, aren't published openly... that is, you need to have been notified of the offer code, usually via a direct email or snail-mail from Viking or from a travel agent... or from a friend. Sometimes I see an offer posted in a group chat on FB. Neither I nor anyone I know has been able to figure out how it is determined to which groups the offers are distributed... so far we haven't noticed a consistent pattern. Also, you are required to close the blackout curtains at night to minimize the view of ambient light/glare from the bridge. So I was wondering if you might be embarking from Seattle, but with a quick review, I'm guessing you are on the Koningsdam for the Oct 1-8 HAL 7-Day Alaskan Inside Passage cruise out of Vancouver, followed by the Oct 8-24 HAL 16-Day Circle Hawaii (from Vancouver). If you were leaving out of Seattle I thought I might drive into town and see you off... maybe some other time.

On the 21/22 World Cruise, lectures from the Star Theater were recorded and posted a few hours later for viewing on the stateroom TV. I think you had to navigate to the Enrichment section off of the TV menu. Port talks were similarly posted, but under a different menu selection. While the evening performances were not posted, you could watch them from your stateroom by selecting Live TV then Viking Today from the TV menu. I think the Port Talks could similarly be watched live from your stateroom using the Viking Today menu selection. I recall not being able to find one of the lectures once and so I called Guest Services. GS contacted the Audio/Visual team and then called me to let me know that the A/V folks would try to post the lecture again, but it might take an hour; sure enough, when I checked later, it was there.

I seem to recall MSNBC and a Fox news channel plus an Aussie news channel being included. In addition there were a collection of recordings from onboard destination lectures, Ted Talks, Viking TV recordings, and other destination information programs. For the 21/22 World Cruise on the Viking Star, there was a wide selection of on-demand movies... maybe 50 or more... which seemed to be curated towards our planned destinations. I'm not sure a shorter cruise will have as many movie selections. As others have indicated, there are no exposed ports so you cannot record to an external device or direct output from an external device to the TV. Likewise, there were no audio ports or bluetooth options, so you were restricted to the standard TV speaker.

The Cairns to Singapore cruise is however listed as a "limited time offer" on the AU site.
