If you end up going to The Catch, I'm curious about your experience. My wife and I tried it twice on Sky (separate sailings) and it didn't meet our expectations based on what we heard from other cruisers.

My wife and I have cruised Princess almost exclusively over the years, with the exception of a couple recent Virgin Voyages cruises. Never been on Carnival. I would consider VV to be an upscale CCL with a slightly older demographic due to the price point. That being said, we like them both for different reasons. Overall, Princess is much more relaxing. Lots more pool area options, especially on the Royal Class ships, and bars to sit at and socialize (which is one of our favorite things to do). While I have witnessed a “Sexy Legs” contest at the main pool (pre-COVID), that was a one time event. Most ships in the fleet do have a late night DJ and dancing somewhere in one of the venues. Live entertainment around the ship in the evenings, Jazz trio, solo guitarist, etc. (depending on where you are) as well as a piano player at Crooners that usually does two or three sets nightly.

My wife and I are booked on Sky for a Norway cruise in June. We have a few questions… We see there is no Crooners on Sky, what venues have nightly live music? Where are they hosting the nightly Suite/Elite/Platinum lounge? Is there a late night DJ anywhere? -Thanks

Been following along and really enjoying all the information. My wife and I are on the next Ruby sailing. Just curious, have you heard if there is a white and gold party/night on Ruby? We’re booked on a 5 night cruise as Mega Rock Stars, sailing on 10/9. We called a few weeks ago and were told we would receive our bands upon check in at the terminal.

My wife and I are Princess loyalists (Elite) as well, and we sailed VV on Scarlet Lady for the first time over New Years. We loved VV and have our next cruise booked for Oct 10-14, again on Scarlet Lady! Can’t say enough great things about the food, drinks, crew and atmosphere everywhere on the ship (feels like a trendy boutique hotel). Regarding the dining experience, each one is like being in an upscale, but comfortable, restaurant back home. No main dining rooms where everyone on the ship lines up for dinner. Instead, reservations at intimate restaurants, each with their own unique vibe and theme. I’m not one for detailing every minute of our cruise, but if you have questions, I’m happy to share our experience.

Is there any difference between the wristbands for Rockstars and Mega-Rockstars? In my opinion, if I’m paying premium $$$’s to stay in a premium suite, I enjoy the status.
