  1. Hi, I am sailing on the Euribia on the 15th December and have been hearing different things about what MSC do to make the boat feel Christmassy/festive. I have seen a post on another ship that they turn the pool deck into little huts and have hot chocolate, bratwurst and other festive treats on there. I can't find anything concrete, but I am wondering if anyone else has done the same itinerary and noticed that they do things like this during the month of December. Thank you
  2. Thank you both. I'm less worried than I probably should be, but imagine it to be quite rough regardless
  3. That's as good a review as I'm going to get, so thank you. I watched some videos and seen the buffet looks quite extensive, which I'm looking forward to. Really excited to go now!
  4. In La Havre I think we might go to Honfleur as Paris is too far away. Rouen will be good, just FAR away. Brugge is amazing, been before, my Mum hasn't - so looking forward to that
  5. Booked a cruise a week before cruise and we sail from Southampton. This is the first cruise we are doing that's not in the summer, so I am wondering what the seas are like and if it will get very shaky. This will be the first time going to Northern Europe on a cruise (Hamburg, Brugge, Le Havre, Rotterdam) has anyone done these places, if so, any recommendations on things to do other than the markets. Thanks!
  6. I've just booked a Christmas Markets cruise, and wanting to find some feedback and information about the ship. I know the ship has only just started sailing, but trying to build some sort of knowledge for it. Has anyone sailed on it yet, and if so how was your experience? The wine place looks good, but I don't think that's included in any drinks packages, so I'm not sure. I have been on the MSC World Europa and will be on the Seaview in September. Secondly, I've only ever cruised during summer times, so not sure what to expect on a winter cruise - I'm assuming it's going to be rougher seas.
  7. How did you find the cruise? We are booked on for December.
  8. It's the day at sea, by the sounds of it.
  9. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/forum/462-france-ports/ I think this will be moved to this forum, however we went on the land train to the Notre Dam and it was brilliant. Then walked around the harbour and went to one of the basilicas/churches.

    Dress code

We got off the Europa in May and the dress code for MDR wasn't really followed at all, I mean a few people turned up in sliders, shorts and a vest. Each to their own, it didn't affect me at all. But I wouldn't worry about the dress code. Gala Night, not many people do it as it's usually the day at sea and when people are getting off the next day. White Party had more involvement from people
  11. Hmm, I'd definitely speak with whoever you booked with or MSC to resolve this
  12. Upgrade on the site or through travel agent if you can. On board will be so much more expensive
  13. Just to jump on this, we couldn't get in our room. Went to customer service, said someone will be there. Went back 20 minutes later, still nothing, then someone came and they were very apologetic. Other than that, everyone seemed very helpful
  14. We sailed Europa and enjoyed it. Thought it was a little too big for us, as we were on a smaller ship previously. We are sailing on the Seaview this september though, so looking forward to that.
  15. Does anyone know what changes have been made to the Seaview?
  16. It's the World Europa, and it will be gala night. The other nights, I am not too bothered with
  17. I was thinking this, but It means packing an extra pair of evening shoes - that's all, and pants that match it.
  18. Our Gala night is the night before we get off the ship, so putting everything back in our suitcase ready will be a hassle. Are you allowed in with Polo and Jeans, or not? I don't want to be "scruffy" or under dressed, and definitely not standing out or feeling awkward. Thanks in advance!
  19. We're hoping to do the same, we are supposed to arrive at 13:00 but we check out at 11:00. Do you think they'll let us get on?
  20. This is what I'm referring to, it's cheaper for me to purchase two devices package then two 1 device packages. Just wondering how it would work, as no point spending the extra if it's not needed. Thanks!
  21. Just a quick one to revive this. Will they stop me coming in the MDR in Jeans and a Polo for the Gala night, just because we leave the day after Gala night so don't want to be trying to put a shirt and pants in my back last minute.
  22. I think the rooms aren't even available, if I look it's Interior, Suite or Yacht Club - can't imagine there's any rooms left.
  23. Yeah, it's a bit unfortunate it's like this. I am not too upset, but would have been nice to have.
