    WestJet

I can't speak to what they usually offer. I had the westjet account setup and was not able to get a boarding pass.

Delta did not give us a boarding pass for the WestJet flight. We checked in at the international terminal in Atlanta. We had obtained seat assignments for the WestJet flight by calling them ahead of our trip.

We booked through Delta from Atlanta to Vancouver with stop in Toronto. The Toronto to Vancouver flight was on Westjet. When we deplaned in Toronto, we went through customs which was easy. We then had to go through Canadian security. The Westjet kiosks were not working so everyone had to get in line to see agents to get a boarding pass. I won't do that again. The only positive was that customs was easy and when we got to Vancouver we had no remaining hurdles.
  4. Those little almond cookies are great with a cup of coffee
  5. The crew was great. We wanted a quiet low key experience focused mainly on the ports and scenery and we got that. We were usually in bed pretty early but did enjoy a bit of music.
  6. We were in 5110 on the Koningsdam. This room was great for us ( 2 grandparents and grandson) We used the pullam bed and not the sofa bed. The only aggravation was getting used to the pullman. I couldn't really sit up straight on the bed under it as fully as I would have liked. That said, I'd book it again for two adults and a child. I apologize that the photos are upside down! I am not sure why they are showing up that way b
  7. We did no lifting or stairs. We walked off the ship, down the ramps, down Canada Place pier to the street. We then walked about two blocks to the Uber pickup spot. There was a slight upward slant to the ramps. We are 65 and 66. My husband pulled our 48 lb checked bag and I handled the carryon.
  8. AFNavigator- there are two of us booked into Statendam 6052. I see that you stayed in this cabin. Is the angle of the view outward so decreased that we should consider a change? We won't need the sofa bed. Thank you.
  9. We loved the Auberge a LOT. I'd stay there if we go again.
  10. We stayed at the Auberge. It was wonderful. The porter helped us get our luggage for a party of six down to the cruise port. It was a free service but we tipped him. We simply asked on Friday and told them what time we wanted to be there Regarding getting back to the airport, we kept our luggage. We were able to easily walk off with it around 8 am. I requested an uber xl and it was there in 4 minutes. We walked about a block to the right to meet him. There were six of us and a lot of bags so we needed another uber. It was there within 3 minutes. The xl cost around $45. By 930 am, we were through all security and customs. I know it gets busier and takes longer if you cannot do the early walkout with your luggage.
  11. We upgraded and I think it was around $80 per person for 7 days. In retrospect, I think I should have just paid the difference in prices.
  12. We also had no trouble with the Koningsdam internet. I streamed baseball games without buffering issues. I was pleasantly surprised.
  13. We just returned from the Koningsdam where we traveled with ten year old twins. We bought each of them the quench packages since they were the third passenger in each of our two cabins. They loved it! They had virgin strawberry daiquiri, Pina coladas, Shirley temples, etc. The boy twin loved all the kids club activities. The girl twin loved a lot of them, just didn't want to do them all day long. They also enjoyed the pools, some of the shows, the MDR dinners and room service.
  14. I'm sensitive to the motion, and I did very well in my midship, level 5 cabin. We had about 1.5 days of a bit of rocky motion on our inside passage trip May 27 to June 3. There was a big difference for me when I walked to the back of the ship vs the middle.
  15. We were just on the Koningsdam. The Lido was open early on that day. However, the daily program said 6 but it did not open until 6:30. Most days,we used the nightly room service pre-order door hanger card to get at least coffee and some pastiries, fruit and yogurt. My grandson also really enjoyed the American full breakfast offered on that menu. We were usually sure we'd be awake at 6 am since we live in the EST time zone and had a child in our cabin. Otherwise,we might have just waited until we woke up and ordered room service then.
