You’ve misinterpreted the sign. The lot has extra large spots to make things easier for first time parkers or those who have never pulled into a spot all the way.
In truth, your answer shouldn’t have mattered. Assuming that a large majority of passengers chose this sailing because of the eclipse it is clear that many of them would be quartered on the wrong side of the ship for viewing the eclipse regardless of where the ship was.
The pertinent question is if seeing the eclipse was the primary reason people chose this particular cruise.
Your problem is not with HAL. You need to contact the bank that issued the card. If you have an HAL branded card, the issuing bank is Barclays and it is Barclays that controls the operation of the card.
The issue with being dockside is that you can’t adjust your location in case of cloud cover. The importance of this depends on if the eclipse is your primary reason for taking the cruise or just an added inducement.
