  1. I believe there are 7 reasons to love casino Royal….
  2. Do they have a shrine to Adam Clayton Powell?
  3. I thought exponential growth was the problem.
  4. As has been mentioned, there have been no World Traveller cruises yet. The ship is, however, virtually identical to the Voyager except for the interior decorating.
  5. On a true luxury cruise blow up dolls would not be allowed. Only premium quality silicone or TPE dolls would be permitted.
  6. The ideal would be to keep the berthing spot reserved but be capable of going out to sea to look for clear(er) sky’s as the situation warrants. Barring that, being at sea within 100 miles of the coast seems to offer the best chance of a successful outcome. The important thing is that we keep obsessing over this so that by the time April ‘24 comes around we are too sick or too dead to care anymore.😊
  7. You’ve misinterpreted the sign. The lot has extra large spots to make things easier for first time parkers or those who have never pulled into a spot all the way.
  8. Yes, as long as we can add you as well.😊
  9. In truth, your answer shouldn’t have mattered. Assuming that a large majority of passengers chose this sailing because of the eclipse it is clear that many of them would be quartered on the wrong side of the ship for viewing the eclipse regardless of where the ship was. The pertinent question is if seeing the eclipse was the primary reason people chose this particular cruise.
  10. Your problem is not with HAL. You need to contact the bank that issued the card. If you have an HAL branded card, the issuing bank is Barclays and it is Barclays that controls the operation of the card.
  11. This is why you should always check the deck plans directly above and below your perspective room before committing.
  12. The issue with being dockside is that you can’t adjust your location in case of cloud cover. The importance of this depends on if the eclipse is your primary reason for taking the cruise or just an added inducement.
  13. Holland added an eclipse cruise. Unlike Princess the ship will be at sea during the eclipse. On the other hand it’s a twenty year old vessel. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/find-a-cruise/M4R14A/X423.html

  16. The root bear can only be released if there are no plants in the vicinity.
  17. It is, of course, not important, but the ship in my picture is the Golden Princess with a length of 950 feet. The Navigator Princess is 1180 feet long and will not fit in the berths you’ve shown. The orientation in my picture seems to be the most common but there has been at least one Princess docking with the ship facing north.
  18. The length of daylight on April 8 is about 12 hours 26 minutes. Solar noon (when the sun reaches its zenith) occurs close to half way between sunrise and sunset. So we add 6 hours 13 minutes to 6:50 and solar noon should be at a little after 1, local time. The reason why the zenith is so far off from 12:00 is that by April 8 Mazatlan is observing day light saving time.
  19. Your coordinate graphic is at the wrong berth. See the included pic.
  20. Did you specifically request S310 over S309 for the likely eastern exposure when docked at Mazatlan?
  21. There is no doubt that the Eclipse Tours cruise is too expensive for most people. On the other hand, the Atlas World Navigator has room for fewer than 200 passengers compared to over 3600 for the Discovery Princess , so ET doesn’t need to attract most people. For me, the 2024 eclipse will likely be my only opportunity to see a totality. I booked on the World Navigator back in February because I didn’t want to take any chances. In particular, I wanted a cruise that didn’t just happen to be in the path of the eclipse, but was truly centered on that event. In particular, it represented (outside of chartering a jet) the best chance of experiencing the event under clear skies as this is a chartered cruise run by eclipse aficionados who will “direct” the captain to navigate to a cloudless area if at all practical.
