  1. I quite enjoyed Teppanyaki and for a $5 discount, lunch 2as a good option - same menu, same portions. We went 4 times during 13 days on Venezia in Sept. Enjoy!!
  2. Hey @IndyKid you might look at HAL - pax mix tends to have fewer children, no mega-ships. Also no elaborate stage productions, but could be a good fit.
  3. All great day; good quote; would try the meal, drink and wine; not been to the port; important day in history. Not great pictures, but here's the Rock of Gibraltar as seen from my balcony last night as we went through the Strait of Gibraltar on way to Cadiz Spain. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  4. Currently onboard 14 day - it was $50 to upgrade a single device. I did it first day. No Mariner discount, but I anticipate getting $30 off when I ask at GS.
  5. No deduction for poor quality, lol. Here's the best I could do to capture the Rock of Gibraltar. It was very cool to see. We went up to Crow's Nest, but our aft view was much better. LO❤️E an aft cabin 😊
  6. Good morning, Cadiz! Shuttles are provided (and required) to get you from the ship to the gate as Cadiz is very much a working port. We went past the art gallery to get off this morning, that's new. All aboard is 530pm - same as yesterday. We have a full day again today - we're going to Seville. Booked independent through Spain Day Tours - they were waiting for us just before the gate w/a "Top Day Tour Bus 1" sign, easy to find. She also had a "Shore Exc" sign. We are 1 of 4 ships in port today. Couldn't get all of them.
  7. Hey @LAFFNVEGAS according to hostess Siri, they will accommodate a standing table & time for you in CO. However, it will be at one of the 2 round 6-tops, they won't push together the smaller square tables. I would think once you meet with them and consistently show each night, they might be willing to give you the other set up.
  8. Horrible pictures, but best I can do on my phone - we're approaching the Strait of Gibraltar.
  9. Welcome to HAL!! Mon night, Billboard was almost completely empty while BB Kings was packed. Last night there was room upstairs at BB Kings; didn't go downstairs, so I can't comment on capacity. Here's a little snippet from last - enjoy (the music and the dancer).😏 20231128_221548.mp4
  10. Wow - so much to see at the Alhambra; sensory overload. Materials are a mix of original and new, but all very lovely. This was my favorite garden; we saw it at the end of our tour. It's in the area connecting new and old buildings. The fountains are really cool - all water moves by gravity, not machinery. The smallest bubble fountain leads to some really impressive fountains. Big fountain has 12 lions - all different. Here's one side. If you zoom in, you can see the water from their mouths. Be sure to look up - the ceilings are just as beautiful as the walls and floors. There are 3 rooms like this, but 1 was closed for cleaning, so I could only go in 2. The ceilings are original. Many of the floors are not original, but are terrific reproductions. Not all original floors are roped off, but some are. More to come...
  11. Busy days so I'm behind (although I'm actually ahead, lol). Sunrise over Alicante on Tues and Malaga on Wed as seen from my balcony. We have learned how to visit Dr in both Rome and Alicante as well as fill Rx in those locations...was not on our agenda, but we checked it off and now include among "local" things we've done.🫣 Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  12. Online weather forecast is very different than what the stateroom TV showed, so who knows. 70° mostly 🌞 or 53° poss rain 🌧 so close, lol I grabbed an 🌂 and a sweater so should definitely be sunny - you're welcome tour mates!
  13. Thanks, Nancy - this is my first time to this part of Spain. I did a whirlwind tour through Barcelona on way to the airport a few years ago, but I barely count that as I didn't see much. I would like to go to Madrid. Our view from the bus. 😊
  14. Good morning, almost Malaga! We're not quite in yet and it's still dark. Should be a nice 70° day. We're making the long drive to visit Alhambra, I hear it's worth it. Here's part of the ship description; we are using Spain Day. Today's Daily.
  15. Yes, we got off the ship - went on an excursion. There are lots of dining & drinking options w/in walking distance once you get past the gates. It's a bit of a hike to the gates, but doable. We went to a winery then the castle.
  16. Hey @cruisinsince75 your cabin (8132) does have push buttons on both entry door and bathroom door. No pic of bathroom door, but guest services assured me all fully accessible cabins have push buttons on bathroom doors. Here's a couple pieces of artwork from your deck.
  17. On 2, heading from Bilboard and Rolling Stone to Mainstage is the library. Sign is on the left, doors are on the right. I will try it later to see if it will open for a peek.
  18. MDR mostly empty, everyone likely up in the Lido. Hostess was not asking for cabin numbers this morning - she just told the "seater" (her word) the table number, so no paper, for them to look at, they had to remember the number all the way to the table. You know, sometimes they refer to that paper at each table they pass, some are very dependent on it... The tree might be too tall - is it wearing the 3rd floor as a topper? Deck 5 aft elevator panel shows library on 2. When I go by it, I'll grab a shot of the ones on 2 & 3 showing library & casino but still has the casino staircase (which has definitely been removed). Collateral needs to be thoroughly updated.
  19. Good Morning, Alicante! Sunrise as seen from my balcony. Port seems clean at first peek. TV says a clear 63° today; phone says 63° w/light showers clearing around 11 w/winds. Row, row, row your boat gently through the port. And they're back. We're tied and cleared to go ashore.
  20. Wait, what?? No way you're leaving already - you just got here!! Safe travels - thoroughly enjoyed spending your vacation w/you, thanks for bringing us along.
  21. Bettyann's Tech Tips. Apologies for the shadows. There's a story - geez, Bettyann, can you please get it together?!
