According to HAL it's not true -

"On Pinnacle Class ships, Club Orange guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner at a private dining venue with an expanded menu and reservations are not required. On all other ships, Club Orange guests can enjoy priority seating and an expanded menu in the Dining Room for breakfast and dinner."

I think OC can go to pinnacle grill for breakfast on Eurodam.

  2. I often get those emails from HAL but never paid attention. Yesterday I got another one and opened it and actually saw one itinerary that we may be interested to go. My question is is it really FREE for an inside carbin for 2 person? It also said stateroom upgrades may be available, how this upgrades work?  I actually did a mock booking and found out the difference between a cheapest inside carbin and a OV room that I like is only less than $800. Does it mean I only need to pay the difference if I want to upgrade or it doesn't work this way totally? Has anyone have any these kind of experiences? I want to have some ideals before calling HAL, or not to get my hope up😉. Thanks in advance!

  3. I booked my feb 2025 Symphony of the Seas 7 nights for 2.6k one month ago (to be excat on 7/23) . Since then I have been checking the price several times and found it slowly going up. I just checked today and it's 3k now, $400 up just in 1 month plus 4 days! I told DH I should have booked the trip half years ago it would be only $600 ?! LOL! DH said no way! the $3k will come down and up. Let's wait and see.

  4. I have decided go with the Symphony of the Seas, as I want to fly in and out of Miami, the Icon is two expensive comparing to Symphony. My only cruise experience is with HAL, seems so different from RCL😂. HAL has the Have it All, does RCL have similar stuff? Also, about $2800 (cruise only plus tax) for 2 ppl in ocean view balcony in February of 2025 sounds reasonable or should I wait for a better price? TIA

On my cruise info for next January via navigator states $16.00. Last January we paid 15.50.    Please don’t think I am arguing.

is it possible they plan to raise the tip again at the end of year?

We are 5 Star Mariners - boarding was a mess, ( in terminal) wheelchair assistance non available, then very slow, no one knew what was going on!! Very slow & confusing for all! Never seen it this bad! We have embarked many times in Seattle on HAL.
At checkin on board my DH had one cabin number I had another! After 3!!!! Cabin changes, many trips to front desk, a good hour + in time we finally got a cabin. (We had booked 9 months ago & had a cabin number)! But no it didn’t work!
We have next week booked, so BTB cruises. Now they are telling us we will have to move cabins for next week!!! We are happy to stay where we are. They are saying someone else has this cabin for next week!!! Ok, move them, switch their cabin like you did ours 3 !!! Times!!
Our future cabin is yet to be determined!! We are to be told today our cabin for next week, some yak / double talk, about “ships inventory “, deflecting!
During a massage I had cold water dripping from a ceiling fire sprinkler!! (5-6 times) What!!?? Therapist put a towels on me to catch the cold drips! Very relaxing massage! NOT!!!!
Still beverage & food items non existent.

Will update as we know more.

I am curious the cabin you being switched to, is it in the same category? is it better room or worse? i booked an aft wrap suite, definitly don't want to be switched, even for a better one. feel so sorry for you.

  7. You are right, Kazu. However, the problem is, after both of us have the HIA, which include the drinking pkg, HAL will force us to buy the same level drinking pkg for the third person. My point is, if the third person really have to have the same level drinking pkg, they should add the extra charge to our fare automatically at booking,  just like when booking a hotel room, sometimes they charge extra for the third person living in the same room, they will automatically add the charge to the booking, not at after you checked in.

  8. Thanks for everyone's response. The cost for each ppl having HIA is $420, include: $100 shore excursion, $105 wifi ($15 x 7), 1 credit of specialty dining, which topped out at $46.02 for Pinnacle Grill, the rest is for drinks, which is about $170. Some websites only sell pkg with the HIA included, not as a add on option, for example, check the costco travel website. This is my first time criuse, didn't know the drinking pkg rules at all until now. In fact if I knew this matter earlier (before my final payment ) I would have done something. At the booking, nothing said we have to pay extra over $400 for the third person to march the first two person's drinking pkg. If HAL thinks we HAVE to, they should have just add the cost to the fare, right?

  9. First time cruiser here. My daughter will be traveling with us in a neptune suite. I assume she is allowed to use the neptune lounge, right? None of us drink any soda. DH would drink a glass of good wine if provided, that's it. Me and my daughter don't drink any alcohol, I like specialty coffee and my daughter would have hot chocolate occasionally and some tea, that's it. We have the HIA came as a package but not her since the HIA only covers two ppl in each carbin. I saw at a FB group indicated once we are on board HAL will force us to buy the drinking pkg for her (just simply charge us on the credit card) because we both have it. Such a stupid idea to even have the drinking pkg in the first place, we can just get specialty coffee and hot chocolate for free at the neptune lounge! I fully regret booking the trip online without using a TA.  Any suggestion how we can avoid paying the useless drinking pkg for my daughter? I already called the online booking company we can't drop the HIA since we already paid in full. Thanks!
