  1. Thank you so much. You’re a star. 👏👏👏

  3. Does anyone please have any pics of any daily programmes they would care to share?

    One out of two

That seems to clarify things. Thanks. The message seems to be, yes, you can still travel alone. 👏

    One out of two

I’d hope that would be noted and recorded on check in?

You are exactly right. I’m not over bothered about insurance. That is another matter altogether. I’m interested to know whether the fit passenger is permitted to travel alone.

    One out of two

Wondering what happens when only one of the booked party is fit and able to embark a Cunard ship, either before embarkation day or on embarkation day.

Brilliant idea! Never thought of that. Thanks.

    How to spend OBS?

On board spend and on board credit are the same, just depends on the cruise line. Apologies for any confusion.
  12. Interested to know if anyone has used OBS for: 1. Buying a commodore or captains wine collection? 2. Paying corkage charges? Thanks.

    TV's on QM2

Never turned it on (apart from safety briefing) in 21 days - too busy.
  14. Maybe he’d bought the bottle onboard. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  15. We did both.- paying corkage and buying a the Commodore Collection. The corkage fee recently on QM2 was $25 and a few cents and no additional service charge. (even the Sommelier didn’t know what the few cents represented). The Commodore Collection was available to us at a useful discount before sailing but involved a phone call to Cunard. The CC makes a significant difference to wine list prices making the wisdom of paying.a corkage charge debatable. it’s not difficult to do the maths and the decision really depends on your personal love of particular wines. Be advised though particularly wines in the CC do get replaced.
  16. Couldn’t agree more. Curious how people gloat when the price they paid goes up and moan when it goes down. Just decide on what its worth to you and move on.
  17. You could try cancelling your ‘automatically added’ gratuities and rewarding especially attentive and accommodating service as you go. Not only with cash add a box of chocolates for the Maitre D to share among the service staff. That’s always appreciated. The key is to be kind, friendly and empathetic - it’s often returned.
  18. Yes Union members have a long tradition of refusing/returning tips. 😉
  19. Not to mention the farmers, delivery drivers, dock workers, check in staff, port security officers…….🤷🏼‍♂️
  20. NCL asked me every meal if I had any allergies. Cunard not once!

I’m sure this has been covered before but is washing material (powder/tablets/sheets) provided? Thanks.
