So did you tip for every single time you went for requesting water bottles? Last week on allure I didn't at every stop at the bar but at end of cruise gave the bartender $20 after a 4 day cruise who was only person I interacted with.

Deck 17 was amazing for us last week for a first time cruise experience. But sometimes it felt like a status symbol to press that level on elevators, there was this guy on one elevator ride who commented that "I can't go to that level anytime soon"

Just last week on the allure we would usually go in at 5 for suite lounge snacks and at least a couple cocktails, then come back to coastal kitchen for dinner at around 7:30 with a couple more cocktails before 8. By the time it became past 8, we would relegate back to wine or beer!

Think was a good time for them to take advantage of reasonable prices that is not possible when the whole country has school off (summer, spring break, etc) Think got a great deal on allure 4 day cruise for about $3500 in crown loft suite for the 3 of us, future dates look to be much higher!

"Many families with kids which was kind of surprising considering it was early November" A number of towns at least in nj gave the whole week off for schools due to a teacher's convention, veterans day, and diwali holiday all in same week. That's what led us to take our 6 year old daughter on allure last week for first cruise ever, and liked the experience!

Also did not check in online until looking at it last evening thanks to bad procrastination and then it showed pre-checkin is closed for anything! Will see what happens when we try to reach the port at 11:30 or 12 for the checkin for sky class!

Hi complete cruise newbie and going on the allure cruise leaving tomorrow from Port Canaveral (Which we just booked few weeks ago). Just logged in to answer the wellness questions on mobile app and was prompted to choose the wellness check time which is available from 2:30 to 3pm. We are staying in crown loft suite and was expecting to get on the ship at around noon then have lunch at the coastal kitchen. Does the 2:30 time mean we cannot board earlier and have to wait?

The photo from post #99 says 5.95 of auto gratuity goes to "dining room". For suite guests why wouldn't that be shared with the CK staff....

With the figures you gave think will stick to the auto gratuities, yours exceeded what the auto one would be!

You forgot about the captain! And if a ship of 5,000 passengers all pay $10 to all crew, that's $50k in tips earned by everyone for a 1 week cruise!

Hi going on our first cruise ever on allure next week for 4 days in sky class crown loft suite and contemplating whether to remove the auto gratuities (which would total about $225 for the 3 of us) as will not at all step foot in the MDR. Thinking if this is sufficient tipping for a 2 adults and a child: Room steward: $15/day so $60 total Coastal kitchen waiter: $10 per meal so $30 per day for 3 meals Luggage porter: $5 per bag during embarkation and disembarkation Suite lounge or other bartender: $1 per wine glass or beer, $2 per cocktail

Would it take a lot of time to get on the ship just for lunch then come back out afterwards? Never been to coco or for that matter any cruise and going there on allure next week. Can either go to coastal kitchen as a sky suite passenger or sabor which opens at 2.

Hi were going on first cruise ever in a week on Allure and noticed on royal caribbean's website about "All guests and crew will be required to wear a mask onboard. Specifically, guests should wear face masks in nearly all public settings regardless of physical distancing measures but will not be required to wear face masks in their own stateroom." What I don't like is looks to be only one option for each course rather than multiple options. I don't eat tomatoes and wife doesn't eat beef so not great for us to eat there!
