  1. Well, that's all I need. They said it and I've listened. I will also pay attention to what other cruise lines have to say. Our cruise history has been limited and perhaps that's it for us. Certainly WILL NOT cruise on Oceania - except for the one we have booked ..
  2. Thanks for recapping that news piece. It was important.
  3. But some of those people are staying in hotels - for multiple nights perhaps, having dinners out, etc. In other words spending more money than cruisers.
  4. As I've written before, how many people buy houses every day without reading the paperwork?
  5. People buy houses every day without reading the fine print.
  6. Oh, I knew that. I didn't know it had changed. Just gives me one more reason to be annoyed.
  7. We booked in late Oct. and it was $150pp. But we hadn't cruised in a few years ago I wouldn't have remembered if it had changed.
  8. IIRC a 'few' years ago I read that Azamara did a post-dinner excursion to Ephesus for a musical program. I was REALLY impressed!
  9. Ah, so you're not really into fashion. That's cool.
  10. Er, Barbie's been wearing flats since 2015 🙂 https://www.cnn.com/style/barbie-stiletto-mule-shoe-history/index.html#:~:text=(In 2015%2C Mattel began making,relax — and wear flats.)
  11. I could be gone for the rest off my life with a fraction of that. Whew.
  12. Regardless of the reason, I would not be going to a restaurant if I coudn't get VERY close to what they want.
  13. One thing that helps us is when we're in our cabin, we change into what we jokingly call "lounge wear." Drawstring pants and an oversize tee. Gives us lots more wearings of the 'dress up' clothes.
  14. Back when we did the occasional forma night on a cruise, I have a long black skirt and a matching tunic top. One time with my mother's very big and bold rhinestones and another time with an equally big and bold scarf. I still hold onto those things just in case.
  15. I actually did a test on that decades ago when I worked in the corporate world. I tried to remember what anyone had worn to work the previous day. Nope. Not a single one.
  16. I loathed Dubrovnik for that reason! I heard that UNESCO was threatening to withdraw their heritage status if they didn't do something about it. And that maybe they'll reduce the number of ships that can come.
  17. And, unless one is working while traveling, why do you need your phone at all. When we were in France I used mine two or three times to call restaurant for a res.
  18. I love the many ingredients I can put in a salad...and I'm not even a big salad eater 🙂
  19. That's us! We're really into food and especially "regional cuisines." We're going to be on the ship plenty. We don't need to eat all our meals there.
  20. You might enjoy an escorted land tour of Turkey. We adored every bit of it.
  21. LOL. We did an escorted land trip to Turkey maybe ten years ago. We both got leather jackets and a gorgeous rug 🙂
  22. I say 'people are quick to criticize and slow to praise.' I have this little personal thing I fell into many years ago. It comes absolutely naturally. I try and generally succeed in complimenting at least one person every day. It makes both of us feel good.
