  1. Thx everyone… related question…. Do suites have more privacy? Much more expensive the the regular cabins? Accessible?
  2. Thx… isn’t MSC an adult based line? There would most likely be a child travelling with me so ships that cater to families and children mostly interested in,
  3. I think I meant connecting doors ….similar to hotels… Disney is one line we were talking about when we thought of the doors so I will look at those ships… thanks.
  4. Does anyone know of any adjoining cabins on a ship where one is wheelchair accessible and the other is not? Can be on any ship basically … was just curious for the future. TIA
  5. Good luck with that replacement…. Sounds like a lot of fun… not!
  6. I have jotted these down for next time.
  7. I believe that the city bus stops a mile away if you don’t mind walking and husband scooting that is accessible … it’s been talked about in the Alaska boards…. I considered it but ran out of time,.
  8. Originally had a 1 pm check in in Vancouver… checked the app there was an 12 spot …didn’t know if we would get there so left it but got there at just after 10:15 … checked the app again there was a 1030 spot so into check in we went … on board by 11.
  9. I was on the tram last week too…. Must have been timing because I think I only waited 15 minutes? Yes it was jammed.
  10. I use a wheelchair. I would have liked to do one myself , however, all the ship’s excursions said it wasn’t wheelchair accessible. For those who have been on a whale watching boat, would I have been able to? I took a look at one boat while I was in port and thought hmm….are there ramps?
  11. Welcome … I’ll try and think of some others I may have read.
  12. I totally forgot about this book until I saw it in the window of a bookstore in Haines last week… it’s about Haines and I was thinking it would have made a good reread on my cruise… https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/107633
  13. Been to Alaska 6 times now. Once in a balcony, once in ov, and 4 insides. Honestly, for me, as much as a balcony is nice, I only go there to the cabin to sleep at night. Bring a nightlight though it gets dark in there. I’d rather spend the extra money saved on another cruise.
  14. We went to the DIscovery Center already mentioned here in Ketchikan. in Sitka, we went to the Raptor Center, in Haines we went to the Bald Eagle Foundation and the Natural Museum attached right next to it and to the Sheldon museum as well there. We managed to go all 4 places for 50 pp or under for kids … the cost of the Mt Roberts tram pp….my niece loved all 4 places. That being said , she is a museum buff and an animal lover. We did the tram as well in Juneau but I think the other 4 places were worth our time more.
  15. Nesting dolls are exactly what my 8 almost 9 years old niece decided to buy herself as a souvenir wit( her own money from when we were on her first cruise last week… this was in Sitka though. She loves them. I’ll ask my sister if she can look at where they were made.
  16. How long did it take on the bus and how long did it take you to walk/scoot? I use a wheelchair and wondered thanks. Couldn’t quite tell from the video.
  17. Thanks…. I’m actually looking elsewhere now instead of this one.
  18. Thanks this has been interesting reading material.
  19. Thanks I’ll look for those. Appreciate it!
  20. Ok thx…. Appreciate it. Leaving this weekend so I’ll look around last minute.
  21. I keep reading there is a limited number of outlets in the cabin …. There are three of us and two of us will each have a phone, iPad , camera battery and backup battery charger. Is this acceptable on the ship? Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. https://www.londondrugs.com/ultralink-4-outlet-power-plug---black/L1145338.html
