  1. Yeah, that's a problem for sure. Sucks some of the joy right out of life.
  2. You make good points, but I still like having mine in advance. Anything that gets me through check-in faster is a winner in my book.
  3. Or it might be in the "I'll put it here since I'll remember where it is" place. A lot of things end up there.
  4. Yes. That's a lot, isn't it? I'm starting to think about not getting internet for at least some cruises.
  5. The price went up last week, so $25 per single device, per day is the going rate. If you're platinum or elite, you should get 50% off, so $12.50. A "single device" means that you can have one person at a time logged in, but people can and do share a one device plan. It's not accounting for the 3 people in your cabin.
  6. I think only tables and chairs. That's all I see in photos of that area.
  7. This probably won't help, but it has worked for me with other apps. Try dumping the cache for the app. That gets rid of stored images, which just might help.
  8. My first choice for a balcony is always at least partially covered. I get plenty of sunshine when I'm out and about on a cruise, so kicking back in the shade is nice. If it's raining, I like to sit out and watch the rain. If it's cold, you're partly protected, and if it's very hot then you're also partly or completed protected. Personal preference.
  9. Gee! I didn't know that. Thanks! 😂🤣 I didn't read the thread carefully enough, I suppose. It looked like a generic question as to when chicken korma showed up.
  10. No, that was in the past. Last cruise with Princess was February 2023. We had it then.
  11. We've had it at lunch in the MDR. Can't recall if it ever showed up at dinner or not.
  12. If what the Princess rep told me is true, then I won't. She seemed to be a very careful worker, and I'm fairly confident that she gave me the correct information as far as she could find. But it's Princess, so who knows. I should have called in and gotten the discounted price on Saturday, but I figured the world would be calling then so I didn't.
  13. They're not grandfathering the purchased price either for anybody who, like me stupidly, paid the full price in the app expecting to get the 50% discount onboard. My loyalty level in the app has been wrong for over a year, and it's been working okay for me to just pay the 100% and get back 50%. Wonderfully now, on our next cruise where I paid $150 for ten days, I'll get back $25 instead of $75. Nice, huh? I feel pretty dumb.
  14. Not according to a Princess rep that I just spent some time with on the phone. She says the new prices have taken effect.
  15. I had this happen to me over the weekend when I was trying to add internet for two upcoming cruises. I don't know if you got the same thing I got. What I got was was simply nothing. I would click the button to purchase, the screen would process for a bit, then I was exactly where I was before clicking the button. All the info stayed put, so I just poinked the button until it worked. I was able to successfully add internet to both cruises, even though it did take some patience.
  16. You should know that it doesn't show up if you book online and that they only sell a limited number for each voyage. You need to call them (or have your TA do it) and ask if it's available for the sailing that you want. What I've done is to put a hold on a down level cabin, call in and ask about Club Orange, finalize the booking, then get CO added and get the cabin upgrade to where I actually want to be. This sounds cumbersome, but it's worth it to me. CO gives us the things we like about Reserve Collection on Princess but for a much lower cost.
  17. I don't know what went with it, but when you find it ask if it's seen Banoffee Blast anywhere. That one went missing too.
  18. We finally did a cruise on HAL last September, and it was great. We're a big fan of Club Orange. This link takes you to a page that explains it. Club Orange Program Benefits (hollandamerica.com) We liked our cabin a lot. This was on the Westerdam, and on that ship there're two cabins that sell as insides but have a window looking out on a walkway. This provides the natural light that my hubby has to have and the price is excellent. These cabins are on Observation deck, just a short walk away from the Crow's Nest where you can get coffee and pastries. We liked the food. Most of it was very good, and some of it was outstanding. I ordered an Indian plate for breakfast one morning, and that was one of the outstanding items. Had to rope my hubby in to help eat it, since it was huge. It was quiet. No rowdy drinkers or such. The passengers seemed to be a bit more down-home than the average Princess cruiser, which was fine with us. We plan to sail with HAL again, probably more than with Princess since my hubby liked it better.
  19. It works fine as far as getting seated for dinner based on your reservation time - eventually. We like to eat early, and on one of our cruises since the restart it seemed like everybody on the ship had the same reservation time. That caused a long line, which really only used to happen on the first night out when people didn't know where their table was. As it is now, the line seems to be every night. Even when we requested, and were given, the same table, same time, every night we still had to stand in that line to get in. This was over a year ago, so maybe they have things sorted out better by now. Our reservations/same table were in the aft dining room on the Ruby, and even after we got the same table assignment, that limited waiting area was hard to deal with. With the midships MDRs, at least the line can extend down the deck, rather than snaking back and forth as it did for the aft MDR on the Ruby. I'd say go ahead and make your reservations now. If you're not happy, you can change things up on the ship. We stuck it out in the aft MDR since we really liked the table.
  20. All this certainly applies to a lot of people and pets do as well to a lot of people.
  21. The menus are the same in all of them. There's no additional charge, except for some items you'll see on the menu that do have additional charge. I'd recommend any of the midships MDRs, and I'd pass on the International. The waiting area for that one gets pretty crowded and zoo-like for my taste. At least that's been my experience.
  22. I looked at all three of my standard bookings, and they all show $60/$80. I might actually have bit if I saw a discounted price.
  23. I can never get the discount booking through the app, even though I'm elite. In my past experience, the 50% discount shows up on my onboard account. What I'm wondering now is this. I already purchased the package at the old price through the app, without the discount. Will my 50% credit show up as 50% of what I paid, or will they do some kind of nonsense about crediting me less because the current price is more. Hmmm. I wonder.
  24. I love that noodle bar! You start out with the basic bowl of noodles, based on what you order. The daily special is a good bet. Then there's a selection of condiments you can have added in. You can make it as spicy or unspicy as you like. I've got nothing against the pizza place that's in that location on the other ships, but I definitely prefer the noodle bar. A person can always find pizza.
