  1. I looked on Google Play Store and VeriFLY has a rating of 4.3. I would not put too much confidence on those who give it a rating of 1 star. People who are unhappy will post their complaints and those who are happy will simply give it 5 stars and move on. I have used VeriFLY twice now for CCL cruises and have had no problem loading my information or checking in at the port. Like it or not, this is the future along with heavy reliance on Smartphones. As a septuagenarian I accept the constant march of technology good or bad.
  2. We have been to Cozumel and Roatan ports many times starting in October 2021 and as recent as last month. Neither port has required a ship only excursion.
  3. We were on the Enchanted earlier this year and had opted for early dining at the same table and time. We had no problem. We used the variable dining when it was first introduced many years ago but for the last few years opted to go back to TD and luckily Princess has enabled us to keep it
  4. We have had bad experiences with Viator before on two separate cruises. They do not support the cruisers as they promise. Last time we contacted our credit card issuer and contested the charge. It was removed from our account. Use Viator with this in mind that they are only a collection agency.
  5. We were on the Dream last month and of course had our passports. When we debarked and entered the terminal the first stop was immigration of course. We walked into the terminal and pretty much kept walking until we arrived to claim our luggage right pass the huge, stalled line of pax who did not have a passport. We stopped in front of the facial recognition kiosk and within seconds it recognized us, and we continued on our way while the huge line of non-passport holders was slowly working its way through the immigration area. To all the non-passport pax thank you for allowing us to get through immigration in record time.
  6. Note that if you are stranded in a foreign country needing to return to the USA and don't have a USA passport, you can go to the US Embassy or Consulate which may or may not be in the area and get a duplicate. However, we are talking about the US government and any emergency on your part is not an emergency to the embassy/consulate who are closed on both US holidays and host country holidays. It will help speed up things if you can provide your passport number. Just a reminder.
  7. FYI For the last many decades both our current state of residence where both of ours were born and our original birth states do not issue a "raised stamp" but rather use a colored stamp on the b/c.
  8. We ate in Planks/Steamers the last time we were on the CB which was before the pandemic. It was just OK and we did not feel it warranted a return trip. Nice part was that each of us could order what we liked - me seafood and DW BBQ. We are from a BBQ haven and it is hard for anyone to measure up. Being near the Gulf we get some really good seafood as well. We will be on the CB later this year for two cruises and again next year so we may try it again if they open it and it is worth another try.
  9. We were on the Dream for a b2b in April. On our cruise they ran out of bourbon although it is sold in the store aboard which when I pointed out received an indifferent look. We had 6:00 fixed dining with same table/staff and of course had no problem. MDR service was really good per usual. We found the staff aboard to not be terribly friendly or even helpful and yes it seemed they were short of staff. Our cabin steward did keep our cabin clean as well as the ice bucket full. We did have a good time but plan to never cruise on the Dream again.
