  1. I would go as far to say none of the shops on any cruise is worth my time or money. That’s my opinion but we are not shoppers. Now I will make one comment about Onward; this Star Link Wi Fi is the fastest internet I have ever experienced at sea, which should make on-line shopping a breeze!😁
  2. Another beautiful sea day as we sail past Haiti on our Starboard side. We enjoyed yesterday’s sea day with some sunning, attended some guest lectures, cocktails in Atlas Bar followed by a very nice dining experience in Aqualina. After dinner we went to Cabaret Lounge and enjoyed our guest pianist. Older gentlemen who used to open for Liberace in Las Vegas. Fantastic pianist and he had the place rocking especially with his version of Jerry Lee Lewis Great Balls Of Fire. Today a little more sunning, reading and have plans to attend guest lectures. Ship is featuring a large brunch extravaganza but we just savored a lighter breakfast enjoyed outdoors at Windows. Tonight we will dine at Prime C and attend our CD’s Matt’s show in Cabaret Lounge. We are thoroughly enjoying our second Azamara experience and looking forward to more. We feel our Continental Suite 8033 will definitely meet our needs for the 2024 World Cruise. Happy and very satisfied cruisers here. Bruce & Sue
  3. Good Morning! It’s another beautiful morning and another day at sea. Enjoying a Latte and the ships health smoothie of the day. We just lazed around yesterday enjoying a glorious sea day. Attended a couple of lectures, enjoyed a concert by pool. Last evening we had a wonderful meal in Aqualina one of the ship’s specialty venues. We followed dinner by watching our guest pianist who used to open for Liberace in Las Vegas. He was fantastic. They have a huge brunch spread this morning but we are having a lighter breakfast at Sunset Cafe. Today we will attend another guest lecture, get some sun and dine at Prime C the ships other speciality restaurant. No added cost for us in a suite. Tonight our Cruise Director will perform in Cabaret Lounge. All the CD’s have impressive theatrical backgrounds and are so talented. So it’s another day so relaxing I have to check my pulse now and then. Thanks Roy and special thoughts and prayers for Jacqui that she is being well taken care of. Bruce

  6. We did announce on Roll Call the previous cruise time and venue location. No problem as we met some nice people and even a couple that will be joining us on World Cruise. Life is good on Onward and yes elevators look like they have been freshly repainted and rails. Progress in motion. We are happy cruisers.
  7. Oh my! Sorry to hear this and Susan and I will be praying for you and that the sepsis responds to treatment and the surgeon can mend your fracture properly. Do pray the local Hal reps are helping you. You have been through enough. Bruce
  8. It’s been a pretty sea day from the start. Lite choppy seas and a smooth ride on the Onward. Last night’s entertainment review showed we indeed have some talented entertainers on-board. We also have a couple of guest lecturers, water color artist teacher and classes along with a Bridge (card) instructor. A pianist guest entertainer tonight and a mentalist later on cruise. Last night our CD stated we have 633 guest aboard and it does feel a little busier than our cruise on Quest last March. Over thirty folks had signed up for M&G and four of us couples showed up. No staff from Onward. Just feel this is a bad time and maybe should be held on first sea day. Little slow in MDR last night which seems a norm. Quite a few guest appear to be first time cruisers. Quite a few were denied entry into main dining room Discovery last night and told they could not eat there while wearing shorts. One tip to speed up dining is to kind of know what you want before you go. Some tables it appeared waiter took orders from undecided guest for ten minutes or so. Ship looks great, staff seems eager to please and this new Star Link internet is fastest I have ever experienced. Bottom line is we are having a great time and life is good aboard Azamara Onward. Bruce
  9. Currently on Onward in CC suite 8033 no noise and I might add a very quiet cabin with no major creaking type noises. Maybe after White Party or end of pool day tidying up maybe an occasional noise from above. No problem.
  10. Ahoy Mates! Just woke up and showered sitting on veranda and I’m definitely in my happy place. Had a pretty sail-away followed by a small CC M&G. Met some folks that will be joining us on WC. There are 633 guest on board and they are a friendly and well traveled group. Last night’s review of on board entertainers promises we’ll be enjoying some very talented entertainers. Two guest lecturers, a Bridge (card) instructor and a artist who gives water color painting instructions. Today’s seas are calm with a slight chop and we have been very pleased with the quietness of our cabin. Headed for coffee on Sunset Terrace then breakfast. The ship just had Star Link installed and so far WIFI is very fast. Thanks for the reports and post.
  11. Yikes! I checked the safety bar. The corners are super sharp. Might have to pad with wash cloths.
  12. We just had an easy two o’clock embarkation on Onward. Really like the Continental Suite which we are booked for the 2024 World Cruise. This is our test run. Captain Gianmario Sanguineti is Master of the ship and Elizebeth Vogel boarded today as Hotel Director. New Star Link Wi Fi so far is good and we received a good deal of one user at a time Wi Fi for entire cruise. Room card holders(gray) one per couple so glad I brought my old one. Yes the room had a tote bag and the ship looks great. Most importantly is the crew is all smiles and accommodating. Staff told us 600 passengers on board this cruise. Time to get ready for sail away and will drop in at say hi at M&G at 5:30 in Card Room. Life is good🍾
  13. We are onboard with no issues. Redneck Bob here is a picture of todays activities and pics of our Continental Suite. Can we spend 155 days in this cabin. We think so! I’ll post some menu’s later but being a Hal thread will keep it limited. Right now on a pool side lounger enjoying a Patron Pomegranate Margarita! Life is great!
  14. Is it time to board yet? Like two kids waiting for the candy store to open!😁
  15. Good morning! Needless to say we slept well last night. Azamara put us up at a rather quaint hotel named Esme.. Will be headed for the rooftop soon for an included breakfast and then meet in the lobby at 1:15 PM for our transfer to the Azamara Onward. Scheduled sail-away is 5:00 PM. So it’s time to get up and moving and we are hungry after eating airplane snacks all day yesterday. Thanks for the Reports. I’m sure I’ll have time to catch up on the Daily as we endure that long wait to embark! Is it time yet?
  16. It was a major FAA computer tracking problem out of Orlando. Though it was fixed the backup caused staffing problems and bad weather didn’t help. This affected many Florida flights but we’re here albeit late with luggage and we’re going cruising tomorrow! Life is good!
  17. Finally onboard will arrive Miami three hours late. Overhead some folks in Sky Lounge that they were missing their cruise. Another reminder not to travel same day. Goodnight!
  18. Lot’s of flights delayed due to some issue in Orlando. We were scheduled to leave Atlanta at 3:42 and now 6 PM! Tis going to be a long day!☹️
  19. Good morning! It may be a long travel day as thunderstorms and heavy rain are passing through at the moment. Why we always travel a day early. Our luggage is lined with garbage bags in hopes of keeping contents relatively dry. Wet or dry the important thing is they arrive with us in Miami. We have a four hour layover in Atlanta and we have been notified we have been upgraded to first class. The 50,000 miles we have flown last year paid off. May be my last MeMe’s for a few days depending on internet. Thanks for the report, list, sommelier and food postings.
  20. Happy to hear the refugees survived. A great reminder to all of us on how fortunate we are for where we live, how good we have it, and to waive off the small complaints we find at sea. For many, cruising is only a dream and for millions, they don’t even know the possibility exist so we should be very thankful; that we have had this wonderful experience of cruising. Count your Blessings!
