  1. Getting close to entering Manila. You’re having breakfast and I’m nearing dinner on Tuesday. Have a great day. Cheers!
  2. Total passengers most are world voyagers. A few long back to back guest. We started with a 195 World Voyagers.
  3. The saga continues. Even though our ship had permission from high government in Manila to allow guest to visit Cebu; the local port authority would not allow. Stated their insurance didn’t cover cruise passengers on these commercial docks our Captain was livid. They finally received permission for the guest taking the side excursion to China and The Great Wall Of China to leave. Tomorrow will be another sea day. We enjoyed some sunning and swimming. Nine fuel trucks today and everything back up and running. Have a great week everyone and thanks to all who make the Daily habitual. Bruce
  4. It definitely will be different and some venues may be closed. Sorry we missed you and didn’t get to say goodby.
  5. Good morning. Happy St. Patrick day to all. It’s a beautiful day in Cebu, Philippines and our thirsty ship is taking on fuel. Nice dinner under stars last night along with great entertainment. Got to run but thanks for postings. Will catch up later. Bruce
  6. We are celebrating St Patrick’s Day today. Set menu pool deck dinner tonight. We are still running at 13 knots and haven’t been issued oars.
  7. Some days one wonders if we are snakebite. So many changes on our World Voyage. The latest is we are in fuel conservation mode. Between some strong seas, currents, use of stabilizers and a port that was unable to refuel us we are having itinerary changes and fuel saving measures onboard. We are now forced to take on fuel in Cebu, Philippine which will make our visit to Manila and Hong Kong one day versus two day’s in each port. Sorry for our Filipino crew who had made plans to see family in Manila. We have asked management if a fund could be established to help crew with some of the travel and accommodation expenses they may lose in trying to see their families in Manila. It is what it is but between the war in Israel and Ukraine, Red Sea and now this have many wondering what’s next in itinerary changes and schedule. In order to conserve fuel they have closed the two specialty restaurants for next two days. Guess we will not get to see or do much in Manila or Hong Kong. We will cope with this and still maintain smiles. Thanks for the report and post. Bruce
  8. One hundred thirty five folks have elected to stay on Onward’s World Voyage after Dubai and detour around Africa and finish the last segment in Venice. Folks have the option to go on their own after Dubai and rejoin in Venice. They can leave luggage onboard so not sure how many of us will actually be onboard. Azamara is looking into offering an overland excursion with a three or four day Safari trip. In the meantime we are enjoying this wonderful adventure on the Onward. We have dined in Prime C the last two night’s and enjoyed the temporary Asian menu.
  9. It’s good morning here. Koror, Palau did not disappoint yesterday. Beautiful rocky island all over, turquoise waters, colorful fish. Even saw the remains of a Japanese cannon and pillboxes in the cliffs. We have two sea days before we reach Manila. The crew had five cases of Covid which was isolated and crew that does not interact with guest. So for a few days the crew is masked but it’s not mandatory for guest. We wore our mask while tendering and in Showroom. Another great dinner last night followed by a new production from ships singer and dancers. Clocks back another hour tonight. Hard to keep up with all these changes. It’s 6:30 AM and Saturday here. Coffee calls. Have a great weekend and thanks for the post. Bruce
  10. Good evening. We enjoyed our second consecutive day at sea and tomorrow will do some snorkeling in Kolar Papau. A country I didn’t even knew existed. Tonight we dined in Prime C our usual steak specialty restaurant. For a few weeks they have changed the menu to Asian. It was outstanding and we are going back tomorrow to try more selections. We attended a World Voyagers meeting and found out 135 of us have elected to stay aboard after Dubai. We are still not quite through our cruise yet and at noon we have so far sailed 16,500 nautical miles. It appears they are busily planning a possible overland Safari elect for us on our Africa leg. Maybe get a bucket list item checked off. As mentioned yesterday we enjoyed a great memorable evening dinner with the Captain last night. Menu included a pic of moi cleaned up for occasion. Ocean is running around two meters tonight so definitely know we are at sea. As we end our Thursday just like to thank all of you for your faithful post. Off to bed. Bruce
  11. Good morning/evening. It’s 10:16 PM here and soon Thursday. We just finished a delightful evening dinner and cocktails with our Captain and World Voyage concierge. Of course the Driver of the ship did not inbide A very nice and memorable evening and special dinner. Enjoy your morning coffee and here it’s time for bed. Have a great day. Bruce
  12. @Quartzite Cruiser A Happy Birthday wish to you.
  13. It’s 9 PM Tuesday here. The rain manage to hold off and we had a Azamazing Day here. Twenty different tribes strutting their dance, dress and customs.Over 850 different languages spoken on this island. Couple of sea days coming up as we head to a new place Koror, Palau. A interesting day that was like being on a National Geographic expedition. Off to nightly show and thanks for all the post and reports. Bruce
  14. We are booked for 2026 Seabourn World Cruise and next January a 82 day Azamara with several back to backs from Miami around South America, Antartica, Rio for Carnival, Amazon and back to Miami. Yup we love to cruise
  15. Entering Madang and the local school bus (boat) goes by with kids laughing and yacking.
  16. Good morning here. Just waking up and soon will be headed for coffee. We will arrive in Madang later this morning and this afternoon they will bus us to a local resort for a Azamazing Day cultural event. It’s going to be hot and muggy and we’ll probably experience some rain. We are on the tail end of rainy season. More and more people are electing to stay onboard after Dubai. Azamara has been very gracious and accommodating. Yesterday, they announced you could leave luggage aboard disembark and rejoin in Venice if you want to go off on your own versus go around Africa. Time for coffee and an energizer juice concoction or will I have a banana smoothie? So many choices. Thank you all for your post. Have a great week. Bruce Some pics from our bridge tour by the Captain. Received invitation to dine with Captain tomorrow night.
  17. Good evening/morning. It’s ten PM Monday evening here and just returning to cabin for the night. Great sea day with good lectures, trivia and watching the world go by at sea. Dinner in specialty restaurant and they accommodated a dish not on the menu for me. Thanks for the reports and post. Some pics from yesterday’s visit. Tomorrow we visit Madang, New Guniea where the first Australian Coastal Watchers trained local indigenous natives to assist in World War II. Tonight we have some movement with two to three meter seas which seems pale to our previous rough seas. Thanks for the report and post. Bruce
  18. Last night’s Signaure Chefs Table on Onward was wonderful.
  19. Internet was down this morning so I’m really late. We had a great day visiting the second largest island in the world yesterday. Visited a local tribe and learned some of their customs and cultures. We also visited some war monuments where fierce fighting took place in World War II. Today is day at sea and tomorrow Madang, New Guinea. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
