Went into my booking and got the message "your res is being modified". Had the feeling that cabin assignment was coming. Checked back an hour later message is gone let's see what suite it will be!!!! Nope still nothing got faked out by the computer. Saw on the roll call board someone got upgraded to royal family and the booking site is only showing one suite available for the whole ship so maybe assignments will come this week.

Still no suite assigned yet, it truly is like cruise crack, I'm addicted to checking the website. I'm hoping that since we are 3 in the room and the W assignments are a little more rare for for then 2 people we get our room sooner rather then later. With that being said it is a good excitement and having been on 10 cruises it adds the intrigue back into what has become routine vacations. Don't get me wrong I love going on cruises, this just puts the icing on the cake. It has been a lucky year, a few months ago we got a free cruise from Carnival and now this upgrade.

I was booked in a d4 which is just a balcony the got the call to switch for free. I guess you could call it free bought cruise last winter and this week prices went way down so I guess maybe I could have got a lot of obc since it was after final payment or in this case take the deluxe W cat upgrade. Since money was already spent and was already getting over $ 500 in obc it was a no brainer. Rccl sent it to me in writing since I asked for a confirmation email that I get to keep the following: WOW obc, TA obc, plus all of my resis's that I already booked. Also since it is now a deluxe of some sort I get double credits and if I get a full suite I get the suite enhanced perks and that it what is really cool especially on the allure where they have so many types of suite and great perks.

It is truly like Christmas and walking past the tree and noticing a present with your name on that you did not buy and did not ask for. You see it, pick it up and shake every couple of hour trying to figure out what is in it. I have check rccl 3 times today and still nothing. My old e tickets still show the old cabin but the website shows the deluxe. Wonder if I get them to re-issue the e ticket if a suite number will generate?

Still no word on cabin. Has anyone ever had to wait until they got to the port before knowing? I just can't figure out how to do my luggage if I don't know my room number for the porters if I have to wait until I check in.

So got a call for upgrade going from a d4 to deluxe or better cat W. Since I booked over a year and my cruise is on 6/8/14 prices have come way down. I looked at rccl and no junior suites are available so I'm guessing I might get something better. Of course I'm good with a JS but what has other people got when it was this late and got a W cat. Lady said I might not know room until I get to port has anyone had to wait that long? It is kinda like Christmas excited I want to unwrap my present but it is cool knowing I have a potential surprise coming. It just a little weird go from knowing my stateroom to having no idea. I guess they figured they could sell my old room easier because it was only on the website for an hour and now it is gone. Never had a gold card so would love to try the perks.

You take you classic cocktail reciept to the casino cage and they will stamp it and hand you a match play card. You take the match play card to the table game you want to use it on. I usually take my reciepts in bunches and get a few cards at a time.

No package covers the 2oz wine pours in Vintages.

This seems strange, the package says wine under $12 and most 2 oz pours are under the dollar amount

This is about $10 min in craps not BJ. Unlike BJ when I like to play with only a couple of people, I prefer a full table at craps because it is a lot of fun as long as the dealers can pay proper and the rookies keep their hands out of the throw zone.

It had $10 min on our December cruise also. Casino manager determine what min is and I have cruised another time and he was on triumph and he raised it then also. Luckily on my December cruise it was a very nice trip higher min meant nicer wins but it also kept the normal $5 players on the table for very little time if they could not handle the bigger fluctuations in up and down play. $10 min is not the norm is just what this casino manager is known for. Had a long talk with him about it, he did not care if his dealers sometime just stand there and not deal because $5 players felt they did not have the bankroll. I will say this a $10 table will get you the drinks on us card pretty fast. Most of the regulars on my cruise had the card by Tuesday.

So i was looking at other excursion for the allure on St thomas day and there are a few that start at 9:30 even though the ship does not make it to port until 10:00. I'm really thinking now that even though the ship gets in at 10:00 ship time it really is 9:00 island time. Has anyone done one of theses early excursions?

This is a turtle cove swim excursion through the ship. Just curious why they would sell an excursion 30 minutes before the ship was scheduled to arrive. Really want to take my kid on this!

If anyone can help that would be great. It shows we are to arrive in st Thomas @ 10:00 for our June cruise. When I go in to book the turtle swim excursion it shows that it leaves at 9:30. Why is it letting book this time? Is it because of the difference in ship and island time? If anybody took this excursion your answers would be very useful. I just don't want to sign up and find out it already left before we even got to the island.

Exactly I just returned this sunday and was off the ship in my car in 15 minutes. Customs has nothing to do with the tax. It is a seperate line right before getting out of the building. If you have nothing you don't have to get in that line. It was my easiest disembarkation to date in galveston. Left the ship at 7:30.

Not all texans just ones that purchased the taxable items will sent to duty line. There are people asking after you leave customs if your purchased and if you did they direct you to the 4 lines to pay duty. It is on honor system but if you are holding those booze boxes they will ask if you are a Texas resident or for you to show ID that you are not a Texan. It did not slow up me getting out from room to car was 15 minutes. As for the duty it varies there was a letter left in cabin for all the different price per size of container and cartoon. Still a deal on booze but I heard people say now tobacco was the same price once duty was applied.

We were given a letter on the ship that if you are not from texas then to state this and show ID and they would let you bypass the duty line. This line is right before you get outside. Did you have ATD and if so what was the wait time. Last year for Thanksgiving we had ATD and we got there anytime around 6:30 and the line took about 25 minutes to get seated.

We are headed out for New years on magic and wanted to know if that has changed for the better or worse.

I booked the same way last night with the big C store and it has been my experience that RC OBC will show up on the 2nd day of the cruise. At least it was that way last time. I will say this the RC obc must be used because it is not transfereable, where as the obc that Costco gives you any unused portion they will cut you a check. At this moment I have $610 in obc but i'm sure my wife will spend it on something.

If you use your gold card does it give you stars for each coffee? My wife will easily have a coffee a day if it gives the stars to her which count towards free coffee coupon.

For all you pros out there that can figure out the were the bed is located. These two cabins I'm having an issue with. 8401 is in a set of 3 cabins and 7501 is a cabin all by itself. So is the bed on the back wall on those 2 cabins. The rule of "right is always right" does not work with these 2 cabins.

They set the table min at $10 the whole cruise on the Triumph. I would play when the action was at the table but I refused to play by myself at that limit. I ask the boss and the casino manager to lower the limit and they refused. I then asked if they like having dealers stand around for hours with no action, they seem to careless. On the last day I informed the Casino manager that his tables were empty on average 3 hours a day, I played everynight for at least 4 hours and they could have had at least 3 more hours of my play if they would lowered the limits when the action was slow. Needless to say it was a company policy for $10 minimum which i then informed, that was strange since the Exctasy had a $5 min at all times.

I did inform OPC about the Casino Manager and his actions. Also to note he would not rate my play unless I was playing $20 over the minimum not including the spread. Most rolls would have me waging in the $60 spread range and he would not rate.
