Just off the ship this morning, none of the casino host or casino manager had any news of casino royal perks changing. Talked to them about mlife and they did not have a clue. With that being said they now track all play with the new system on tables. They use touch screens and were very keen on tracking the craps play. With different times asking people around the table to verify their names to make sure they had them in the right spot.

On the Allure in July we paid $7.25 + 15% gratuity for absolut pear & club soda. After reading ALL the posts I am assuming those prices have not changed except for the 18% gratuity. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Just off today absolute is now 8.95 plus 18%

Just got off navigator. Prices have gone up! If not on drink package a vodka cranberry well drink or rum coke is 8.95 with service charge. Those drinks last June on allure was $6.95. Absolute vodka was 9.95. With that said with 3 days left in the cruise they offered a $99 premium deal. So based on those figures all it would take is 10 drinks to break even. Not sure if this deal is offered on other ships but it was a steal on navigator.

Just off navigator and will confirm, John will be off April 18 and Jeff arpin is coming on. Cuddy is the activities manager and he has only been on for 3 weeks and should be promoted. He is always visible and very approachable. He hosted the M&M and brought the captain with him, he also did the morning show a few times by himself and could easily handle the job.

Do you recall what nights they can eat with the kids club for dinner? Was it only formal nights and sea days? Trying to figure out a night for dinner at sabor.

What level and time did they pick up the kids during dinner? We did this on allure and it worked out really good since we are on my family time dining.

I bet it depends on the course. If it is the Jamaica route they go back an hour for whole cruise, but if it the roatan route you stay on central time since coz is the only time difference.

When BOGO first came out we got some really good prices. We had 1 cruise booked and switched it to BOGO and booked 3 more. Even with all the restrictions the prices were nothing near what we've previously paid. But over time I've watched the prices creep up and up. Now the prices don't seem to be any different then before all the sales started....with more restrictions.

Same with me I going to hold my comment until tomorrow, because last year when this thing started, it was a great deal. I don't know if it was a pricing error but we jumped on it and it was a ton of saving on my last few cruises. Then as it kept going the prices went up, up and up. I have been watching for a time in July and I'm very familiar with what the price is now and what it was 6 months ago since I check every other day it seems and if the prices at least go back to what they were 6 months ago, I will be a buyer and if they go back to what they where almost a year ago, I will be a buyer of a couple of cruises. If not I will be a buyer on another cruise company becuase their rate is $1000 lower.

Does not matter to me where they go as long as RCCL stays here year round. I will gladly keep going to the same places because I love my cruise vacations and if i'm not flying 3 people everytime I can schedule another vacation in the same year. I have 3 set up this year, mostly going to the same places and each one we are doing totally different things. I hated when RCCL pulled out of galveston and will never complain since a day at sea is better then a day on land.

Did this last June. Great trip snorkel was very good, really neat seeing the sub, boat and helicopter sunk below the water. Then after that rum punch flowed as we headed to the beach, my 7 year old son talked his way into the captains chair so it was a memorable excursion.

The Havana pool is what I always had invisioned for the adults only area for carnival instead of what they gave the adults on the breeze class of ships. They made it a little better on the sunshine giving them a pool.

Also, those nice aft balcony rooms, just lost a little bit of luster to me. Yes you get to have a nice big balcony but since the back of the ship sticks out further now you are just peeping on the select guest in the Havana pool. All the privacy that once was a highlight of an aft balcony is no gone since people on the pool deck will be able to watch you just as you are watching them.

I'm also concerned a little bit by the privacy and security of these open patio/balcony rooms. I would hate to open my shades in the morning and see someone just standing out there or late in the evening with people walking on deck 5 getting loud since now there will be a bar down it that area.

Don't think it was james Dunn since he was the cruise director on the carnival magic last week. There was a review about james Christmas celebration show where he read a story and other things on Christmas Day. There was another james, do not know last name that carnival had that has not been assigned to a ship in awhile, that maybe the new one for Royal.

Exactly think of a big store where you can buy in bulk. I know there are a couple out there but one has a travel piece including a website, but you have to have a membership to use it.

There is a big box store travel company that can not be said on this website that usually gives 10% of what you pay in obc plus whatever promotion Royal is running they will add on top. So you can always count on a few hundred dollars there. Then I have been given obc after final payment if price goes down but I think that may have changed as now they just upgrade my room if one is available.

Is the Triumph in yet?

It's a wednesday, so Triumph would not be port today, she is down in Mexico enjoying the warm air.

Well that worked out pretty good. Everyone was right had to remove c&a discount to get the obc, but royal increased the obc an extra $50 today for cyber Monday. So now between big box travel obc of $190 and royal $250 plus the extra perks of the big box giving the specialty dinning for two, 1 hour in spa for massage and a bottle of wine. I feel pretty good since the price did not go up on the balcony in the past few weeks. I did see they had one JS come open but it is an extra $1000 but i usually don't pull the trigger unless it is less then $500. So I will just watch and wait!

Well I just checked with my big box store travel company and they are offering obc, plus a spa treatment, plus a bottle of wine, plus a specialty dinner for 2. So I'm not going to be greedy about $100 c&a discount since they are giving me $190 plus $200 that royal is giving and all those other goodies. They did tell me to wait until tomorrow because there could be a cyber Monday deal to sweeten the pot a little more. Not bad for a spring break cruise.

Ok so if they can not be combined and I take my number out of the booking so I get the obc. Then how do I get my numbers in the system so we get credit for the cruise plus the benefits. When I take my number out it books then when I register my numbers it changes the price and takes away the obc. This is why I think it might be a glitch because I believe you should be able to combine the offer with the c&a discount.

Just tried looking at booking online with RC with no c&a number and it gives bogoho plus OBC. When I put my number in it gives emerald discount and bogoho but no obc. Confused as to why it is doing this. Just trying to find out before I call my big box store travel company because they will add more obc to purchase and want to make sure I give them the heads up if this is a computer issue.

Anybody run into this issue???

That could have been it. I did not spot but the travel agent called a few weeks before sailing and asked if I wanted to change. I agreed because worst case was I was getting a JS for price of D4 and I was inside final payment so I could not have difference in OBC

I got free upgraded from a D4 to "w" ended up with JS on the hump and checked this morning since we sailed 2 weeks ago and I got double points. Went from 45 to 59 points. So I can tell you yes in my case you do.
