  1. That's an odd policy. If you are paying for it, or entitled to it, why do they care when you drink it? I guess people could take advantage in some way, but it's a pretty arbitrary policy.

This is only for the Diamond Voucher or Diamond lounge. The excuse was something like they are trying to make sure you are consuming the free drink during or close to that time period. I used the excuse about bottle water and they said that was not the issue. I think what was going on was people were getting the cans to consume the next day instead of buying one during the day. I'm sure its all about the getting the money.

  2. We are no big drinkers, we just go to a full service bar and ask for an unopened can .

As of last month they are now required to open the can, either at the bar or at the Diamond Lounge. I kept asking for an unopened can and finally they explained that they have been instructed by corporate to open all cans. I think they don't want you taking them back to your room and using them the next day at the pool or where ever. Anyway this was on the Liberty and it has not been this case in the past but it is what is happening now.

  3. Solarium on liberty is a great space. Love it. Unless someone decides to play their own music in this nice peaceful place. That would be very rude and annoying. Just imagine if we all brought our own music and external speakers.

To each their own, I’m very considerate. If you every cruise the same time I do I will not annoy you, just let me know and I will turn it off, but the bartender on the liberty has his own speaker playing music far louder then mine by the lounge chairs. But in the afternoon the solarium pool is not a peaceful oasis like it is in the morning. It’s good conversations and adult libations.

  4. How do you know “everyone enjoys it?” I would find it highly annoying especially if I were trying to read a book which is what I do in the solarium. Make noise by the pool.

I always ask the people under the bridge if they mind and I have never experience someone reading a book in the pool, those people are in the loungers and they are too far away to hear anything. The pool is 7 feet deep, I would be hard to tread water and hold a book. We have tested and you only hear the music under the bridge.

  5. Sad to report that after 4 trips on the Liberty the Lobster Tails and seafood blowout on the last night in the windjammer is gone. They still had crab claws on Thursday night but not nearly as many as before. The only seafood they had in Windjammer on Saturday night was shrimp cocktail.

I will say they did have one night fresh made to order donuts and you picked what you wanted it topped with, tons to choose from. And every night they had really good made to order stir fry. You loaded your bowl with veggies and such, picked a protein or 2 and inform them how hot you wanted it.

  6. Just thought of another question - does FNDR include Giovanni's? I know they will assign a restaurant, just wondering if that restaurant is an option. I don't see much of a description in the cruise planner. Thank you!

You can not go to Giovannis the first night as it is holding the murder mystery dinner. So you either go to Chops or Sabor.

  7. Agreed. New Orleans wasn't an option but Miami was because RCI is based there. They should have kept us in Cozumel overnight like the Breeze and sent us directly to Miami.

I have dogs boarded and a job. A 7 day cruise turning in to a 10 day isn't a "good" thing. And God knows what they'll do with us when get to Miami.

Probably give you the option to stay and return with the ship or disembark and if you parked your car you are own your own to figure out how to get it.

  8. Some of those parking lots will flood, depending on the amount of rainfall. EZ is the only one high enough that it won't be an issue. I would not want my car sitting in 6-8 inches of water for a couple of days.
