  1. Another one bites the dust…. I am still showing positive and DH has now joined me. 🙁. Mine is fading though.
  2. I am home. 🙂 I am improving, no more fever, still coughing but inhaler helping. Hope to eventually get my taste and smell back though. Thanks for asking. 🙂
  3. @ReneeFLL I hope both you and Mike are doing better after your bought with Covid. @molly361 I am so sorry you are positive too and had to cancel your cruise. That is awful you kept getting notifications from the ship, that happened to me too for my cancelled Delta flight. I am finally home. I am still testing positive, but thankfully, my DH is still testing negative and has no symptoms. Unfortunately, my adult son who lives with us, tested positive on Monday before either my DH or I got home, so my DH is trying to stay away from both of us and masks are required in the house right now. I did test positive on the ship and had to isolate on the ship, Because it was late in the sailing, they let me stay in our suite as it was already a "sick cabin" and they gave my DH a balcony cabin. More than 25 people were "extracted" (their words, not mine) from Quantum on Monday, by the US Dept of Health and sent in many different directions in around six or so shuttles. Some of us were headed to a hotel, which we had to book on our own, to finish our initial isolation before we could fly home, others were going to parking lots to pick up their cars and drive themselves home. We considered driving but it would have been over 45 hours of driving time and it likely would have caused my DH to catch Covid from me being confined all that time, so I sent him home for his important meeting. We made sure we booked a hotel that we called directly to confirm they were offering room service, as the first two we looked at hasn't started it back up since Covid. I was able to rebook a flight home, getting the last first class seat and am waiting for Delta to refund my miles from the cancelled flight. New flight was a ridiculous amount of miles, so cash it was and a lot! Thanks for all the posts before when I was feeling stressed and sick. I am improving, though have no sense of smell or taste. I am just happy to be home. 🙂
  4. you do not need wifi or cellular to access anything in your apple wallet.
  5. It isn’t 600 from the cruise anyway. It is a lot from the cruises before and after. A lot of posts just copying what others posted in unknown groups.
  6. Most people didn’t report to medical when they got sick, unfortunately. Hope yours doesn’t turn into Covid. Your symptoms are what a lot experienced before turning positive. We also encountered a similar group while waiting for a photographer. Start spouting at me in Spanish and then told me he didn’t understand English but I explained to him that he understood plenty as he had just commented in Spanish to his wife about something I had said to my DH in English. He told me he didn’t understand, I told him in Spanish that he understood it all. He walked away lol
  7. I have only seen one person who has confirmed case of norovirus and Covid, and it was not the OP. It was the gentleman who was taken off the ship in Victoria. He has been released from the hospital and is supposed to be trying to fly today from Seattle if they made it back to the states by ferry.
  8. Thanks everyone for all your posts. I haven’t been online much as someone tried to hack me on this hotel network so staying off wifi and sleeping. Fever finally gone and breathing better so hope to get out of here as planned. I know I have missed a lot on this thread and will catch up once I have my laptop at home. @DaniDanielle I am so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to your family. @Luckynana sending prayers for baby Ginny.
  9. The gentleman who went to the hospital in Canada did not go see a doctor while in port. He had been transported to medical on the ship in crisis and was transferred to the hospital by ambulance.
  10. Hi all. Off Quantum today and about ten days behind on this thread, so will catch up over the next few days. Alaska was gorgeous, weather was great, COVID *&%$! I am now stuck in Seattle isolating with COVID while DH flies home. He has no symptoms and has tested negative multiple times. Many escorted off today with COVID. Man taken off in Victoria yesterday to hospital with really bad case of Norovirus. I wasn’t off ship until almost 11am! Who knows when boarding started today as more came off after me.
  11. Do you have a link to this? I only see $250/day hotel and $100/day food. Are you referring to air to sea flights?
  12. They do not find you a hotel but they do transfer you to the one you book.
  13. We are also on this cruise and had an 11am check in time. We got to the port just after 10:15 and the check in was already started. We are in a suite and had received an email the night before from KK the suite concierge telling us to look for a blue banner for sky suites. No banner anywhere. It really didn’t matter as the lines inside and outside were moving fast. Our ArriveCan QR code was checked at least three times. People were pulled out of line if it wasn’t completed. We had everything we needed and preceded through the multiple checks quickly. We were sent up the escalator for check in and were in seats just after 10:30. A few hundred were already in seats at this point. We spoke to a man who seemed to be in charge of releasing the masses to board and we asked about suite boarding. He pointed to a set of chairs to the right and told us he would signal us to board first. He also sent others to that area too. Boarding opened right before 11am.
  14. Thank you for the all support and prayers for my Mom and me the other day. My Mom had her additional MRI yesterday and we are still waiting for the results of that and the neurosurgery referral. After discussions with my DH, son, Mom and most of my siblings, we are going to take our cruise to Alaska. I am almost packed and my DH will throw his stuff together when he gets home from work tonight. Car service is picking us up at 5am tomorrow morning😵 We will have a couple of days in Seattle before we board Quantum on Monday. We tested last night to make sure we are negative and will test for the cruise once we get to Seattle since we can't test until tomorrow. Hopefully, I have remembered most of what we need. I do have the important stuff: passport, money, vaccine card, credit cards, Arrive Can QR code, set sail pass and boarding pass. If I forget it, I will just buy it when I get there. 😄
  15. The noises of the airport, crowds, music, etc are triggers for many people, especially those with autism. It is great that they offer someplace for those who need to a more quiet environment.
  16. It is from L1 to L4, it is big. She had a cervical and a lumbar scan yesterday along with a brain scan with contrast. Doing a lumbar with contrast to see tomorrow to see what is involved. At least they might have found something after over two months. Doctor was thinking there might be lumbar stenosis but wanted the other scans to rule out stroke and myelopathy.
  17. I took my Mom for a series of MRI scans yesterday and one of them shows a cyst on her spine. They are doing that scan again tomorrow but with contrast this time. She has an urgent referral to neurosurgery. If she finds out she is having surgery next week, I am not sure I want to be so far away just in case there is an issue.
  18. Great news! Have an awesome time! We are back to possibly cancelling. We are supposed to sail Monday, so can cancel under cruise with confidence up until midnight Seattle time on Friday. ☹️
