Has Captain Albert's blog site been removed today? Even the e-mail I got from him seems to be mostly deleted now.
Still there for me. https://www.captainalbert.com/

I am so disappointed to read that the 29 passengers and several contract workers were not able to disembark in FLL after having been there for 9 days. If it was due to them remaining symptomatic, I wonder why the ship simply didn't remain in port until everyone had recovered. I think that the general thinking, at least on this board, is that was to be the case. Now they will have to return to some port in order to be transferred to charter flights.
Could it be that the countries to which some passengers or contract workers need to return to are not allowing flights in?

They are both being admitted to the hospital. I knew flying home was risky and I’m sure, if they have covid they got it on the way. They haven’t been anywhere else since coming home. But we won’t know for sure until their tests come back.
I’ll keep you posted.
So sorry to hear this. Praying for the best outcome for them!

I'm glad the TV station pulled away from the ambulances. We don't need to see the ill or deceased being taken off the ship close up!

If you're tired of speculating about ships' positions and flashing lights, perhaps you could turn your thoughts and prayers to our friends Bill and Gloria Weed. They're passengers on the Zaandam.
Both have had fever for days. Bill now has pneumonia. He can't swallow, so he hasn't been able to eat for several days. He can't take oral medicine.
His daughters hope he can hold on long enough to get treatment.
I think Bill and Gloria would be happy to be "dumped" in Florida because that is where they live!
Please take a few moments to think about them, confined to their cabin, with no fresh air, and holding on to hope.
Praying for them both, and all those who are critically ill aboard.
