  2. Good evening. Finally home. I go to post and get a message the site is down temporarily. It's still acting screwy. Encouragement is nice. Hugs and High 5's are fun. We are all one human family. True quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Tadine. Cool day in history. It's nice to be home. The hospital was a zoo. It's a busy urban teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center. The ER often has everything from accident victims, shooting victims, homeless, and a broad slice of humanity. To make matters worse, there is filming going on, I heard a reboot of the tv show ER. One nice thing was they have a program called Bed to Home, so a pharmacy person brought my home meds so I wouldn't have to stop on the way home. Then I was valet parked, and they were gone. A transport person took me to security who had my keys, and then he pushed me to my car in the parking lot. I tried to tip him, but he just said it was his job. Unfortunately, the leg feels more painful after driving home and bending it more. But it's less red and not hot. I have 7 days of antibiotics starting tomorrow. I appreciate everyone's concern and good wishes and prayers. I slept from about 10P to 1A, so I was up to post the Care List (not easy from my phone). I slept again from about 9A-12P. @puppycanducruise Happy 87th Birthday to your DM! @StLouisCruisers Safe travels tomorrow. Prayers for good test results. Congrats to Ren on his academic achievement; I was a Merit scholar way back when. Great article about FC Dallas youth Academy. @Cruzin Terri I hope you hear from the doctor soon. @smitty34877 I am glad to hear that DB is able to stay a bit longer. You are blessed to have him. @grapau27 Thanks for the great photos from your cruise. @marshhawk You've gotten some good suggestions to help DH. I put a thick lubricant in my eye at bedtime to prevent dryness. And I don't like any air blowing toward my eyes; I have the car vents turned away from me. @kazu Hugs to you and Ivan. I'm sorry the vascular surgeon didn't have any solution for you. Maybe the MRI will be helpful. Sorry your eyesight is so bad, but the good news is that cataract surgery has an immediate effect. I hope you can get the surgery soon. Love the door sign. @sailingdutchy Nice photos from New Caledonia. @ellbelle @rrraydon Welcome to the Daily! Thanks for your posts today. @Cruising-along I'm glad your Sister decided to get looked at. @durangoscots Yikes on the bears. I hope your sister's appointment with the Gastroenterologist went well. @Vict0riann Good news that Pat is on the TAVI waitlist. @RMLincoln Sorry your visit to DGD is on hold, but better safe. I hope the living room shade works out. @Quartzsite Cruiser I'm glad you saw the Vestibular PT. That sounds like the maneuvers I did, which mainly were to get the brain used to the symptoms, so they would be ignored. @dfish It's wonderful that you and Sue can spend more time with River. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.
  3. Excited to follow along with your Live and also the comparison on the Celebrity Boards. Vanessa
  4. I’m currently getting my last dose of IV antibiotics, which is a 3 hour infusion. So I’ll be discharged home around 6 with oral antibiotics. It will be good to sleep in my own bed tonight. I’ll catch up on the Daily this evening.

  6. My bloodwork and US were ok, but since the cellulitis has not responded to the oral antibiotics I took, they want to keep me overnight for IV antibiotics.
  7. Just a quick check-in. I saw the nurse at the office. One look at my leg and they sent me to the ER, in the same building. Unfortunately it’s busy and it looks like it’ll be a while before I get seen. Hopefully it will just be a different antibiotic than the one I started on Monday.
  8. 9. Good afternoon. I managed almost a 90 minute nap earlier. But I can't figure out why my leg is so painful. I'll be glad to get seen tomorrow. @Haljo1935 I'm glad you were able to get the 2nd procedure, but ouch on it hurting. Wasn't your eye anesthetized? I'm sorry today was a tough reminder of terrible times in your family. @Cruzin Terri I'm sorry your PMR is flaring. Sadly, this is the way of autoimmune diseases, that often take a year or two on steroids before they settle down, with many ups and downs of doses. I don't know if there's any drug that helps in PMR to get off steroids. Even though I'm on immunosuppressants for my 2 autoimmune issues, I still take low dose prednisone. @ger_77 I hope an answer is found for DH's neck issues. Have a nice afternoon with Ollie. @Vict0riann I hope Pat gets on the schedule soon for the TAVI. @sailingdutchy Happy Birthday to DMIL!
  10. Much better camera quality; many have given up carrying DSLR cameras, except where a very long zoom is needed. Improved screen display, with better colors. Face ID to open the phone and apps. Better battery life. Faster processor. Emergency sos via satellite (if you hike somewhere that there’s no cell service).
  11. Bruno, I usually get a new phone every other year. I have the 14Pro now. I'm looking at the 16Pro or Pro Max.
  12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Swapping ideas is good. Suicide prevention is very important. I still eat the occasional Lean Cuisine if I don't feel like cooking. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal, drink and take the wine. I have been to Picton. A good day in history. It's going to be a nice day, warmer and sunny. I set the alarm for 5:30AM, as I wanted to leave at 6:30 for my ENT test and doctor visit. When I woke up there was a noise like a motor. I looked out into the alley, and there was a large truck I assume making deliveries to one of the businesses on the other side of the alley. I thought, oh it'll be gone by 6:30. Nope. I opened the garage and went out. Luckily the guy saw me trying to back out, and moved the truck a few feet so I could get out. The test was ok. ENT doctor said I'd had bilateral BPPV, now resolved after doing the home exercises. He wasn't sure, but hoped the balance issues would follow suit. And I got a script for the med for the cruise. The leg is less hot, but still somewhat red and it's painful. I'll be in the recliner again today. I will see the doctor about my leg tomorrow. @StLouisCruisers Prayers for your health issue to be resolved soon, and that the tests go well. @ottahand7 I'm sorry to hear that DB is having so much pain. @kazu Thanks for checking in. I know with the move you've been so busy and it's been a very emotional time. I'm glad Ivan is adjusting so far. Good luck seeing the vascular surgeon today. @rafinmd Good to see you being able to post! I hope all gets straightened out so that you can proceed to rehab. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. You asked about the cause of the infection. Unknown. In the past I had it twice in the other leg; no scratches, no bites, no skin opening found. I don't know if being on immunosuppressive medication contributes. @Sir PMP Thanks for the map and photos. @marshhawk Hugs to you and Chuck as you navigate your way. I seem to be in every data breach, going back years. There was a recent big data breach involving social security numbers and I got email that I should freeze my credit. It just doesn't allow someone to take out credit in your name. You can unfreeze it say if you're buying a car or some other thing that requires a credit check. @smitty34877 I'm sorry you and DB are both dragging. I hope you both can get a bit of relaxation time in today. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating. A few Picton pics from 2006. 14. Debbie, wow on that dentist’s office! This seems to be an infection, not something PT would deal with. I don’t think it’s a blood clot. I decided that after I see ENT early tomorrow I would stop at the other doctor’s office to see if I can be seen. If she’s not in, they might tell me to go to the ER.
  15. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is an important issue. I'll celebrate box wine. No priest around to buy a beer. I like the quote. I like the meal. Pass on the drink and wine ($$$). I haven't been Jeju. A good day for the USA. It's sunny and 72F out, after a start in the 40's. Ugh, if it's not one thing it's another. Yesterday afternoon my leg started hurting just below the knee. I thought it was from the body glue I sometimes use on my compression stockings. But then it got red and was swollen, and I was concerned about cellulitis. So I started on antibiotics I keep on hand. I'm keeping the leg elevated. I think I'll cancel PT tomorrow, unless it's a lot better. I see my doctor on Wednesday, so I'll see what she says if it's still bothersome. On a positive note, not much dizziness today. @marshhawk Happy Anniversary to you and Chuck @catmando! @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. @seagarsmoker I hope your DW gets good results on her tests. @ottahand7 I hope things are going ok for your DB, given all his issues. @Cruzin Terri Safe travels to and from Savannah. @dobiemom Wow, earthquakes, fires and rain. Be careful. @smitty34877 I'm glad DB is able to stay a bit longer. Prayers for you, Tana and the whole family. @rafinmd I hope you make continued progress, so you can be discharged to rehab. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. @Heartgrove Maybe you need a professional to take care of the bees? @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for passing on Roy's message. Nice photos from S. Korea. @Sharon in AZ I'm glad you made it home safely. @Seasick Sailor Many prayers are being said for Bonnie. Enjoy your sea day. @atexsix I was waiting for the apple conference too, having an iPad, iPhone and Apple watch. @aliaschief Thanks for checking in. Lovely sunset and ocean views. @kazu I hope things are progressing well for you. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating. Back to the recliner.

  17. Yes, very common here. I sometimes ask for my fries on the side (and get the look), then give them to my dining companion.
  18. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Ugh, my post disappered. Literacy is important; after my DM retired from teaching school, she taught adult illerates to read. I like the &, although I didn't realize it's been around that long. I guess iguanas deserve a day. I never knew any grandparents. Funny quote. Maybe for the meal, and yes to the drink and wine. I was not at Icy Strait Point on my one 7d cruise in Alaska in 2009. I'm not sure about my Alaska cruise in 2025. 2 good days and 1 sad day. Brrr. It was 45F this AM and is only up to 63F, but at least it's sunny. It will warm up by week's end. BFF came over yesterday evening, but both of us had a headache, so we didn't go out to eat. Also, I couldn't get warm, although it was 78 in the room. I worried I might be getting sick, but I'm fine today. We watched a few episodes of the LOTR prequel. Today will be watching football. I slept in this morning, so I was a bit later posting the Cares List. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start. I've thought about the Care List. If no one can pinch hit, I think since I'll be in the US and Canada, I could still do it; perhaps posting a little later some days. Nice photos from ISP. @ottahand7 Thanks. @jodi58 Congrats to you and the parents of the new baby Thomas! @cat shepard Thank you. I seem to be the queen of rare stuff. After my 2019 cruise I developed Mal de debarquement syndrome. It's a rare, poorly understood disorder of the vestibular system that results in a perception of body motion typically described as rocking, bobbing or swaying. I felt like I was still on a ship, months after sailing. I had an extensive workup with my ENT and got put on a med that dampens the vestibular system. After about a year I was able to stop that med. I did use it again for prevention on my TA last year and was fine (and will use it on my upcoming cruise). So I guess I have a history of vestibular issues. @smitty34877 I'm glad you had some help yesterday. I'm sorry to hear that Tana is struggling more. I hope the MRI gives some answers; I know it's hard for you to not be able to do what you need to without pain. Prayers for you both. @superoma You've done a great job in Debbie's absence and we appreciate you. @dfish Sorry your flight was delayed, but Welcome Home. @Cruzin Terri I hope you have a good day. @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos from ISP and Hoonah. Thanks for the email from Roy. @GTVCRUISER Nice picture. @RMLincoln I'm glad you're doing well. Lovely flowers. @rafinmd Roy, prayers that you can recover completely from this, if it is a stroke, or whatever the cause. Thanks for letting us know how you're doing. @Seasick Sailor Many prayers for Bonnie tomorrow, and her medical team. Yikes, I'm glad Allen is ok after that incident at dinner! Beautiful sunset. @aliaschief Gorgeous sunset! @Haljo1935 Nice ISP photos. @kazu Thinking of you. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  20. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for letting us know about Roy. I can sure relate. I hope he's feeling better soon. Seems like a few of us have developed vertigo recently. @sailingdutchy When I click on a picture, the url is strange, and it also takes me off cruise critic. So CC is trying to "get" the photo from where it's stored.
  21. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @StLouisCruisers & @richwmn. 3 good days to celebrate. I like the quote, being a LOTR geek, lol. I'll pass on the meal, yes to the drink and wine. I've been to Greece on a land trip, but not Souda. A good day in history for Brazil. We got a good bit of rain last evening and overnight. Some areas had bigger storms, with trees down and power outages, but that was north of me. I was glad to see rain, as my company had just put down fertilizer, and I'm bad about watering the lawn. It's cool today, staying in the 60's and partly sunny. I'm trying to tidy up, before BFF comes over later. We may go out to eat, and then watch some of the GOT prequel. @luvteaching Bon Voyage! @Crazy For Cats @dfish @Sharon in AZ Welcome home! @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. All the additional days to recognize are good ones. @smitty34877 I'm glad you have some help this weekend. I hope you got some help with the painful hip and that it's feeling better. Thinking of you all. @ottahand7 Brrr, although a fire in the woodstove sounds cozy. I'm glad DB is being kept on the heparin. @marshhawk I'm glad you both enjoyed the concert yesterday. @Quartzsite Cruiser Lovely photos from Souda/Chania. @dobiemom Congrats on winning a cruise playing bingo! @ger_77 That's awful about the girl being set on fire (and the teacher). Burns are so painful to recover from. @atexsix I'm glad the exam yesterday yielded good results. Yikes on that beehive at DM's; it's good it's been taken care of. @TiogaCruiser Stay cool. I'm glad the fire got put out quickly, before it could spread. @Vict0riann That does sound like a strange appointment for Pat. Here I thought he'd see the doctor who would decide, not a committee! Nice Chania photos. @Cruising-along Enjoy the day with the boys. @aliaschief Safe travels to Kauai today. @kazu Thinking of you. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  23. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. 3 good days. Reading was a great escape for me as a child, and still is. 401(k)s are helpful in saving for retirement. Food banks help many; I volunteered at one in the past. A good quote. Yes to the meal, maybe on the 2nd iteration of the drink and pass on the wine. I haven't been to Nathon. Sad that Magellan didn't return with his ship and I've heard of Piggly Wiggly but didn't know it was that old. Our run of sunny days is ending, with storms tonight and tomorrow. Also cooler weather in the 60's, but today will be 80. I'm about the same; some dizziness with change in head position (but not spinning), and the knee. I'm headed to PT midday, then the post office and maybe a stop at Aldi. Then tidying up. BFF wants to come over tomorrow to watch the LOTR prequel, since it's on Amazon prime. @StLouisCruisers Happy 55th Anniversary to you and Dennis! You two are so handsome/beautiful in that photo from your wedding day. @ottahand7 I'm sad to hear of more complications for DB. I suppose with not being able to get around, he was more prone to a PE, but I'd think in the hospital they would have had him on preventive sq heparin. Prayers that the IV heparin does the trick. It must be a big one if they're considering going in to remove it. Prayers for him. @Heartgrove Good news about DSIL getting a boot and good healing. @kochleffel Sorry you're still waking up so early. I do too sometimes, but can usually fall back asleep. @Lady Hudson I hope they can get to the bottom of DH's chest pain. @Quartzsite Cruiser Sorry to hear DH has some issues not fixed by the shunt adjustment. For some reason they recommended the Brandt-Daroff maneuver, even though the Epley is thought to be more effective. I think because it is easier than the Epley. I go back to ENT next week for more testing and to see the doctor. Thanks for the photos from Koh Samui. @cruising sister Thanks for sharing the photo of new baby Rooney Renee and Murphy. Murphy looks like she's doing well. @marshhawk Congrats on the sale. @ger_77 Good job on all the blankets. I hope DH has a more restful night tonight; and you too! @Vict0riann I hope Pat's visit to the surgeon goes well and that he gets a date for surgery. @atexsix Good luck with your US Bruno. @kazu Prayers for you and I hope you're doing ok. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  25. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll celebrate International Day of Charity. I try not to be late for anything. I'll take cheese pizza, and throw some pepperoni on it. I like the quote. I like the meal, minus the kale pesto. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to the port. A good day in history. We had a chilly start, but now it's 75 and sunny. This weekend we won't get out of the 60's. I took some ibuprofen before bed, but my knee was still hurting this morning. I used Voltaren cream and it seems better for now. Doing laundry yesterday (up and down steep stairs) didn't help. Balance is about the same. No plans for today, other than sorting through stuff slowly. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for your dedication in getting us started up while Rich is cruising. Lovely photos from Peru. @cat shepard Good news on the Derm visit. @ottahand7 That looks like an interesting tour. Thanks for the photos. @Sir PMP Thanks for the map and photos. @marshhawk You've been busy. Good to see you posting. Sorry to hear that Chuck put his back out and was in pain yesterday; hopefully better today. Maybe a heating pad on his back? I'm glad you renewed your symphony season. Nice photo. @RMLincoln Your post cruise glow makes me smile. And it's great that DH's eye pressure is doing well without drops. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the photos. @rafinmd Cool photos from the sand dunes. @Cruising-along Enjoy your lunch with your BFF. Sorry DSis is so ill, but good she has friends in the area. I hope she's feeling better soon. @atexsix Good luck with the ultrasound tomorrow. @HAL Sailer Thinking of you and DH. @kazu I hope things are progressing in your preparations, Jacqui. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.
