  1. Check in time is assigned ~two weeks prior to sailing BUT it could (and does) change (3x for me) so keep checking even once you get a bar code.
  2. You can’t park a scooter in the hallway. It’s a safety hazard. My mother is in a wheelchair. If there was a scooter parked in the hall, she would not be able to get by. You better believe I would be contacting the Safety Officer.
  3. Bruno @atexsix prayers 🙏 for your dad and for you. If your dad was in the service, the VA has a respite program for the caregiver. It took a while to convince my mom to use it (she took care of my dad), but she finally did and it was good for her.
  4. Our sailing was the first after the NS returned from Europe so they were anticipating Coast Guard inspections, health inspections, crew immigration, etc.
  5. I had Club Orange and my boarding pass said “priority” (or maybe because I’m 4*?). Here’s my boarding pass from last month: Port Everglades Terminal 26:
  6. If I have enough dining credits, I will go to the Q Smokehouse. 😋 I get the deviled eggs for an appetizer, and the Pitmaster Platter for my main course. For dessert I have a hard time choosing between banana pudding and peach cobbler. Of course I have the Smokey Peach margarita (or 2! 😁).
  7. On another site (book of faces) this morning: For all those missing Mariner points for cruises taken in December 2023 -- Here's what I received today: "Thank you for your recent correspondence with the Mariner Society. Unfortunately, we experienced issues with the automated systems that process voyages for all December 2023 sailings. We currently have no ETA on when this issue will be resolved, but we are working to correct it. There is no further action required on this matter, we will update the guests Cruise History as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Kind Regards, Garrett Mariner Society Holland America Line 800-547-9139 206-626-7359 Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00p
  8. This morning I babysat for a bit while the youngest went to her appt. Then I had a nice lunch (sushi! 🍣) with my GF. We hadn’t seen each other in a while so it was great to catch up. Took a nap when I got home. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Prayers 🙏 for everyone who needs them. Cheers 🎉 for all the celebrations. Amen.
  9. On the NS last month the sheet says to allow 48 hours. But usually it was much quicker (once we left the bag as we went to dinner and laundry was returned when we got back from breakfast).
  10. Great days! May have to go to a Korean BBQ for lunch. 🇰🇷🍚🥢 But I don’t think they’ll have Peach Melba. 😉
  11. It’s FriYAY! 😃 Thank you for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information. It’s been cold (for me) here: Highs in the low 60s F, lows in the upper 30s to low 40s F. I’ve been wearing socks all the time for a couple of months now; my feet are always cold. I hope to meet a friend for lunch this weekend. We haven’t been able to get our calendars to agree for a while. And volunteering at church. That’s all I have planned for this long weekend. Prayers 🙏 for the Care List and Cheers 🎉 for the Celebration List. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
  12. Most of the time my list is on the phone, but if DH is going camping his (long) list is on paper.
  13. @kazu Jacqui Yikes on the fall but I’m glad you’re “OK.” And that you have a generator and it works. 😉 @HAL Sailer Melisa {{{{HUGS}}}} Busy day today. It’s a good thing I looked at my work email last night. I was asked to bring in donuts this morning for the all staff meeting with the BIG boss. I think it was a good visit. I had to leave after lunch to babysit (I do this every week) so I missed the close out meeting. I’m sure I’ll hear how it went soon. I hope everyone stays warm and safe in all the storms.
  14. No problem boarding the ship but you may have a problem if you are flying (and NCL booked your flights).
  15. Good morning Dailyites! Thank you for the HAL fleet report and all the daily information. It’s going to be a busy day for me. I’ll only work a few hours this morning and then it’s go, go, go. My GF and her mom will be in town so we are having lunch. Then to see another GF to drop off some treats on my way to my hair appointment. After that I pick up my DMiL to get our pedicures. And dinner afterwards. The hair appointment was a last minute change. It was originally scheduled for Friday but the BIG boss is coming for a visit tomorrow. So I thought (almost too late!) that I should change the appointment to look my best. I originally wasn’t going to go to the office (it’s not my regular day) but I volunteered (silly me, I should have kept my mouth shut) to pick up lunch. I hope everyone has a great day and this winter weather doesn’t get too bad where you live. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Thank you all for caring and sharing. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
  16. Praying for a safe drive, both going there and coming home. 🙏
