  1. I have our 26 yr old son booked for a family cruise in Thanksgiving 2023 (Galapagos) and Christmas 2023 (Singapore to Hong Kong). My son and I usually play blackjack for about 4-6 hours total on each 12-15 night cruise at the low limit tables. Here he is getting abused by the dealer on Solstice in Jan 2018 (Great Barrier Reef) who just dealt him a deuce on his eleven that he doubled down on. Ouch. Luckily she busted. You can see how small his bank roll is. Somewhere in that pile of chips of his ($100 total?) is a free cruise, apparently.
  2. Here are the complimentary sailings being offered. Also, I need to correct myself--there is only Edge cruise in the list and it is only a 4 nighter
  3. After ignoring his first free cruise offer from late July, my son got a second free cruise offer emailed to him today. This time it includes Edge sailings. The email acknowledges his Pearl status with 40 points...... Go figure
  4. I agree. Every extended cruise for us has had 3 even though the website says 2. Jan 2019 Reflection
  5. 300 kids. That's the number we had on our Solstice Christmas 2019 & NYE sailing which was a 12 night round trip from Sydney visiting New Zealand. Similar to your Edge itinerary. Our cruise was the last holiday New Zealand sailing by Celebrity so you won't find any more recent data for that itinerary for now. According to the Fun Factory counselor there were 150 3-12 yr old children and 150 13-17 yr old kids. These were pre-pandemic statistics, of course. It didn't feel like we had very many kids on board during the cruise.
  6. No. All the work is up front during the registration process.
  7. They know you reached Elite Plus and are living the high life. Delivering your points are a lower priority than those like us that are truly in need.
  8. Obviously you are very happy and proud parents. The photos are as beautiful as they are remarkable. If I were Chris, I would have also given Theresa a nice pair of stylish gloves with a hole properly positioned on the ring finger for that beautiful diamond to protrude.
  9. We will be on Constellation next month and I will check it out. But I still.....may not find.....what you're looking for.....
  10. Ours may have been credited last night, too. I didn't check my account last night as I went to bed early. I am not one of those crazy people who checks their account every hour when logging in every other hour is clearly more rational.
  11. I also received my solitary point this morning.
  12. Just got thru registering and watching the webinar. Thank you.
  13. The photo is of the card(s) that I received from the pit boss when I redeemed my Captains Club benefit at the blackjack table (Solstice Dec 2019-Jan 2020). I looked up that photo because that is the last cruise I took and the first time that I didn't have a sheet of Captains Club coupons waiting for me in my stateroom. After reading your response, I went back and looked up a photo that I had of the old Captains Club coupon sheet (Infinity Jan 2017), and--lo and behold--it does say that it is good only for blackjack and roulette.
  14. Roulette and blackjack may see the most frequent use of the match play card, but they can be used for even money bets at other table games such as craps (e.g. pass bet).
  15. At the blackjack tables, you tell the dealer you want to get your match play coupons and the pit boss is summoned. He or she then takes your SeaPass card to verify and record your information and then issues you the paper match play cards to use at the table.
  16. This photo (pre-pandemic Halloween decorations on a Celebrity ship) was posted on our Constellation TA roll call (which includes Halloween) by @Diane Rose
  17. Last year Celebrity published a brochure detailing the onboard experience and offerings for Halloween, Thanksgiving, as well as Christmas and New Year's Eve.
  18. 2 of our last 3 cruises have been Australia/New Zealand (the 3rd one was the Caribbean). I have not noticed any significant difference with the level of dressiness.
  19. Sharon, Hi, it's always good to hear from you. Congratulations on your daughter's engagement! And Hawaii, too! Very exciting. Their story should be published in a Captains Club newsletter. Did John and you know ahead of time about Chris's plan for the glacier excursion or were you simply surprised as you watched it unfold? As far as your question is concerned, here is the link to the 2021 Holiday Experience brochure that you were referring to. I pasted a screenshot of the decorating schedule below. 2021 Thanksgiving was on Nov 25. So it looks like Celebrity scheduled each ship to be decorated on their first visit to their home port after Thanksgiving (or on Thanksgiving in the case of Summit). Celebrity did publish a 2022 Holiday Experience brochure but it does not show a decorating schedule. I hope John and you enjoy your Beyond cruise. Take care! David
  20. We were on the Galene and I had to look at a photo of the boat to answer your question. The answer is "yes", we were on the boat in the foreground of your photo. What a remarkable coincidence! You are correct, it was a memorable evening. Did you remember seeing the gigantic bats flying overhead!!
  21. You can also combine pre or post cruise activities to celebrate the holidays. We rang in 2018 in Sydney right before our Great Barrier Reef cruise on Solstice.
  22. Couple having their photo taken, Solstice Grand Foyer, Jan 2018, Great Barrier Reef
