Anytime between now and when you arrive at the terminal.  Keep checking because they won’t send you an email letting you know your cabin has been assigned.  It may or may not be assigned before the online check in date.  If you don’t have a cabin assignment before you arrive at the terminal, the person checking in bags will have your cabin number to put a tag on your luggage.  Good luck!

You covered my situation completely and I can't thank you enough. 🙂

I think a higher portion of those pulling their grats are the old salts that have been cruising since the Arisons were running things and think they know best about how much to tip everyone.

I disagree and we sailed Carnival when Ted, and to a lesser extent his wife Lin Arison, were on top @ Carnival. The people we see removing tips are those who are newbs to cruising.

I spoke with a family on the Panorama in April who were on their first cruise. They were quite surprised to learn the servers and cabin stewards don't earn a minimum wage and depend on the charged gratuities to earn their living. I think ignorance has a part to play about cruise culture and most old fogies have the wisdom to know to at least pay the suggested gratuities.

You really seem to be hurt over the cabin perk for certain gamblers. I am pretty sure the bean counters have analyzed the data (of which you are not privy to) and the results are positive income.

True. When I'm walking to/from our cabin and see a server with a trolley stacked with plates filled with cookies from the casino to their gambling guests I think: those cookies wind up costing the gamblers $10 per cookie. That's the way the cookie crumbles on Carnival.

Not the full menu from the MDR though, just selected items (and usually the cheaper ones at that).

No one can give you an accurate answer this far in advance.  Even if you have the correct MDR menus now, there's no guaranteeing what will be on the dinner buffet on any given cruise.

Thursday night on Panorama is carved whole roasted turkey night at the Lido buffet. This hasn't varied over our 9 sailings in 13 months aboard Panorama. But yes, there are no published buffet dinner menus online that I have seen.

Java Cafe is on the Celebration, Mardi Gras, Horizon, Panorama, Vista, Elation, Glory, Luminosa, Sunshine, Sunrise, Miracle, Radiance, Splendor and soon to be on the new Jubilee.

The Lido Marketplace is not the location for the Java Cafe on Panorama,  Miracle or Radiance that I am personally aware of.

moved to one turndown a day.

Turn down service and cabin cleaning are not interchangeable terms. Carnival stopped turn down service before the covid shutdown. Carnival still cleans the cabins once a day which includes vacuuming. Turn down service does not include vacuuming so the cabins are being cleaned once a day and no longer receive evening turn down service.

  7. Our PVP always has another PVP return our calls when they are absent  and that person books our business or is available to answer questions about new or old business. Two things I can suggest:

Book it yourself now and don't lose out on the promotion and consider another PVP who has someone cover for their absences and vacations.

  8. Miracle has 4 private showers in both the ladies and men's locker rooms with a small changing bench and a shower with both waterfall and 3 adjustable spray nozzles located on the walls of the shower. This is by far the best shower on Carnival that is included in the cost of your cruise fare.

Its just them getting cheaper and cheaper with what they offer customers for their money.

3 years ago when Carnival dropped network news from their line up they explained that it was because the new satellite contracts called for Carnival to be charged for each available cabin on its ships fleet wide. The contract they were unable to renew charged per ship. The switch to charging per cabin increased their bill astronomically.

To be fair, I wouldn't want to pay that increase either. And for those who will say " and you believed Carnival?" or similar, I cut the cord on cable 8 years ago due to cost so I think Carnival's explanation is entirely credible.

Perhaps they have determined that not many people actually watch television when they are on a Carnival Cruise and decided that was something that they could cut and not affect many people.

Most people I know don't watch much TV when they cruise,  Nor do they choose a cruise line based on the TV channels that are available.

I don't choose hotels in Vegas based on their TV channel line up but I want there to be one in the room should I choose to watch something on the TV.

  11. I mentioned this earlier but it deserves repeating for the OP. There is a good chance you will be told by the room service department they no longer take pre-orders the evening before for next day deliveries. This happened to us twice shortly after the discontinuation of the door hanger menus. Procedures can and do change of course so as I mentioned originally YMMV. We were told no on Panorama and Magic and daughter was told no on Radiance.

Correct.  Check-in is 14 days prior to the cruise.  Once you do that you'll be able to print your boarding pass.  That said, there does seem to have been some computer issues today.

Check in is 16 days prior to sail date for Platinum and Diamond guests for those who may not know.
