  1. I booked a Silversea cruise with an exceptional itinerary recently for $330 per night.
  2. Correct (from my experience on their December 20, 2022 cruise).
  3. That’s nothing. What about charging for each door opening to your cabin? Doors and lock system cost, too, you know. Or, perhaps, each visit to a public washroom? Shall I continue?.. Life is life… Voyage, Voyage!!!
  4. A rhetorical statement: basically, and unfortunately, the term "entitled" is simply purposely has been misused lately (within last few years) similar to "dismissed", "falsely", "baselessly", and a number of other words. Does it sound familiar? Voyage, Voyage!!!
  5. Each of us on this planet is "a member of the younger generation" at some point, and the same is true to become "a member of the older generation". Real loyalty is a virtue; "screw you" mentality, from the other hand, is a weakness. Voyage, Voyage!
  6. Yes, on both. They are really good! Seabourn was better for us: Regent Splendor we had (a new) is for 746 people, and Seaborn Venture (an also new ship) was an expedition ship with 264 people. Food was better on Seabourn. Regent is the best for space (square footage per person in open areas) among all cruise lines we've been on.
  7. I know, I know, it was simply an ironical (with a slightly sarcastic flavor I must admit) rhetorical comment.
  8. Why? I thought I left KGB behind (especially, in relation to so innocent business as the cruise industry) when I left USSR in February 1991. Voyage, Voyage!
  9. Not at all! It was lovely time for many many reasons! My comment was neither a complaint nor criticism, and not a protest in any form, just an observation. I prefer a little more formal than shorts at night; however, for those who like it, let it be, it's not an offence to anyone. As a matter of fact, we just put on hold 3 leg-quote of 2026 world cruise on Dawn.
  10. On our last Regent, Ponant, and Seabourn cruises some people were in shorts during evening hours every day.
  11. I lived through rationing myself (no, I'm not over 80 years old; it happened in 1990-1991), and I agree with this statement. I can add an expression (a translation to English) - "the salvation of a drowning man is the work of the drowning man himself". Voyage, Voyage!!!
  12. What about a free fare cruise and then paying for everything (cabin, any food/drink by item, pool/hot tub/sauna/lounge or any other facility by hour, show, band, any party, and a such) on the ship? Then everyone would be happy, because a person would pay (and utilize) for ONLY what they actually need (like in a Liberty Mutual advertisement) and want to use. So, if one is fine with sleeping near pool (on a Caribbean cruise, for example, they would pay for a number of sleeping hours in that area instead of "wasting" money on a cabin). My comment is ironical (if not sarcastic) just to show how ridiculously this topic might grow; so, I hope no one will take it seriously.
  13. Typically, when the word "improvement" is used in relation to public such as in Celebrity advertisements, it's intended to be for a customer purpose. The reality, however, (as we know) is a different story.
  14. Now we are talking. These people do not live on borrowed life, that’s for sure.
  15. So much agree. My comment was obviously ironical one on all aspects.
  16. I just was back and force for last couple days with 3 Colombian and English musicians from my last Seabourn Venture cruise in March - we became friends. They are in transition today from Venture (in Reykjavik) to the inauguration Pursuit (in Italy) ship for a new contract (no vacation for them for a year!).
  17. Yes, of course, but those are “tiny” details; here we have a huge problem in discussion; so, who cares about all of those fancy-shmancy items in some Regent Seven Seas snobby cruise line.
  18. As I stated, a starting $1,000 per day price in Regent is with business international air (an average Regent air is $6,000 round trip which would be around $300 per day for a typical 18-day Regent cruise; so, without air a cruise price would be $700 per day).
  19. That’s incredible! I would cruise forever with such deals on Regent!
  20. Did you reply to a wrong person? I’m the one who said the same opinion as yours. The business air is included in the Regent price; however, my notation about $1,000 per night (on special itineraries) was after removal of air. A typical Regent price per person is around $700 per night without air. What is the Interline rate?
  21. You would be surprised: on our last Seabourn cruise people were in shorts at dinner in a restaurant. The same occurred on our Azamara cruise a few weeks ago.
  22. All good; on Celebrity there will be 3,000 people around you vs those 700 on Regent, and Regent has double square footage of open area per person vs Celebrity - just an observation, not forcing anyone to travel on a luxury cruise.
